Good morning!

How are you? I am still very excited about the Crochet Mood blanket project and I’m very happy that many of you joined me πŸ™‚ Welcome! We will surely have fun πŸ˜‰

This is the first week of January …

A week full of good and bad moods πŸ™

January1: Light purple: Sleepy

January2: Yellow: Full of energy

January3: blue: Feeling blue and dreaming about the blue sea and vacations

January 4 and 5: Red and grey-beige: Angry and very sad about my country

January6: Green: Trying to stay positive and think about spring and green grass (drink plenty of green tea too ;))

January7: Purple: Feeling lonely and alone (the children are back to school) and trying to remain positive πŸ™‚

So that was my weekly moods so far… Please no more bombs and blood so this blanket will become a happy pieceΒ  πŸ™‚

We, sometimes, make our best to stay happy, calm and feeling good but it is not always possible πŸ™‚

Some of you asked about the pattern of these simple squares. It is a chain of 12. Followed by 5 rows of 12dc each. And a last round all around the square of 1sc-3ch-1sc (and in the 4 corners too). This last round is for joining the squares together (like in the pic above)

Very simple…but I love it πŸ™‚ It reminds me of patchwork quilts and there is something about them I cherish πŸ™‚

I’m still working on my poncho and I’ve made some real progress I will show you next time!

Until then please stay warm and safe, pray for peace, and remember to be thankful for the little thingsΒ in life!

Love

Sucrette

    Hi Angie,
I’m sure your blanket will be lovely. When I read about it, I decided to join the group on Facebook, but I’m still a bit undecided about the size… so many wonderful suggestions I’ve been seeing! I hope and pray your country, as the color of your squares, will find peace and end to turmoil. May you and your family find protection!

I think we contribute to world peace making our crochets, all together joining forces and sending good fellings around the word. When I read in the newspapers about Lebanon, I think of you and then send peace even more helpful. Let’s make our crochets and we will strengthen world peace.

Your blanket is beautiful. I really like the pattern. Interesting how people see colours differently though. Purple and lilac are my feel good colours, they enrich my thoughts and spirit. I love them as they are reassuring and not depressing in any way! I love orange as a happy sunny colour, yellow I’m not so sure of. I would choose dark colours if I were miserable but as I don’t like them they wouldn’t be allowed in my blanket. I guess I would choose pale blue as my miserable colour but again it wouldn’t make me too happy to have it in my blanket if there were lots of it.

I think I would just choose colours I liked, so it would look beautiful like yours. Wishing you a peaceful and happy year for your family and those near to you.

Hi! I’ve been enjoying your lovely blog for a few months now, and decided to finally comment. I love the design of your squares! It’s so simple, yet it creates such a gorgeous patchwork effect. I have several blanket WIPs at the moment, but I will keep these squares in mind for a future blanket. I would have loved to do this crochet mood blanket thing, but I found out about it a bit late, and I also have plenty of projects already. Maybe next year πŸ˜‰ I love how yours is coming along so far! You do amazing work.

I will definitely be in prayer for your country; Philipians 4:6-7 comes to mind!

I have decided to join the blanket group and am using your pattern. I am doing triple crochet stitches so I only need 4 rows to make a 4 inch square. Are you going to make a square center section and then keep adding squares around that as the blanket grows? I also printed your calendar – thank you for designing it.

I love all your works and especially your insights into life! Blessing to you.

Hi, Love your blog. I saw above that someone copied your calender. Can you tell me how to get a copy please? I searched but with no results. And I checked through the archives but nothing there either.
    Thanks for your help.

That is a lovely pattern to use, I love the simplicity of it. I hope no more bad things happen so that your blanket can be a happy one.

Hello…thanks for sharing your square pattern for your mood blanket. I understand your directions that the last round is for joining but how do you join your squares? I hope this questions doesn’t sound dumb but I can’t tell from the pictures what procedure you use…

    Thanks for your help.
