The beginning of a crazy project

Good morning!

How are you? How was your weekend? Still in holiday mode Like myself? We are having now some really hot days but this did not stop me from beginning a very big crazy project – blanket which will become a bedspread πŸ™‚

A crazy ripple blanket which (I hope so) will become a bedspread for one of the girl’s bed…

If you are a follower of my facebook page you already saw this pic above πŸ™‚

I started this project with a thinner yarn than my usual Nako one. It is Mirage a 100% acrylic yarn which I crochet with a 3.5mm hook…

yarn

I really want to get rid of my old stash of this yarn so I can buy some new colours in october…

So I began this ripple…a very big one…each row with a different colour…

The pattern is here if you wish to make one too πŸ˜‰

crazy-ripple-wip2

Each row is taking me half an hour to finish and I am a really fast crocheter πŸ˜‰

So 30 minutes for only a row πŸ™‚ That’s why I’m calling it crazy ripple because it will make me crazy at the end I know…but I can’t help myself and I am totally addicted right now πŸ˜€

crazy-ripple-wip1

I am loving so much the colors…

and I know that when it will become bigger it will be winter and cold days here and it will be the perfect project to crochet on cold evenings πŸ™‚ (Can’t wait!)

So, my lovelies, that was the beginning of the crazy ripple project I started on August8…

Now I’ve added some more rows… and I can exactly tell how many hours I crocheted already πŸ™‚ hahaha

Of course, I will have to crochet another bedspread for the second bed of my girl’s bedroom…another one with the same colors…

I will think about that second one later πŸ™‚ One crazy project at a time πŸ™‚

I’m wishing you now a crazy happy week!

Stay cool and happy!

Kisses

Friday…already???

Hello sweeties,

It is friday already and we are in August. Time really flies and sometimes I just don’t realize how time is passing by so quickly…

I am crocheting a lot these days and that makes me really happy and takes all the stress away πŸ™‚

I told you in a previous post about that special order of a pink wood stool…

pink-stool-wip1

… I’ve began the crochet-granny-squares-cover of it…

pink-stool-wip2

and I am very pleased with how it is turning out πŸ˜‰

And guess what? I finished my very own amineko. Yes, this guy, this mustard guy is totally mine…

(This mustard color is my favorite of the moment. I used to hate, yes hate this color in the past…now I love it πŸ™‚ )

my-amineko

I love his wide eyes open. He seems very curious about everything just like myself πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

my-amineko--

I crocheted it with a thinner yarn than the previous ones. So this one is smaller …

two-together

and guess what? Hubby wants one πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ hahahaha and he already chose the colors πŸ™‚

But he’ll have to wait because I have to finish the stool cover first πŸ˜‰

Life is good my friend… Enjoy it… Enjoy every second of it…

Wishing you a wonderful weekend with your loved ones

Thank you for visiting!

New yarn love

A new yarn added to my stash…

new-yarn-serin1

A new yarn I am in love with…

new-yarn-serin2

It is called Serin from Nako. It is a mixture of cotton and something called viloft (really don’t know what it is)

What I know is that itΒ is incredibly soft and that the colors are just wonderfully bright πŸ™‚

new-yarn-serin3

I will use this yarn for an order to a special lady who wants a wood colored stool with a crochet cover πŸ™‚ Will tell you all about this project very soon πŸ˜‰

Is there anything better in this world than buying new yarn? πŸ˜‰

A wonderful day to you my friend!

The happy blankie: the beginning

Hello happy people!

How are you? Is it spring already in your part of the world or not yet? Is it still grey and rainy?

In my country spring is already here: sunshine, blue sky, perfect weather πŸ™‚

I started this week a new project: yes, another blanket like you guessed from the title of this post…

It was like a huge need to start it…like I could not resist…and I could not wait finishing other wips before… I had to pick colours and start it…does it happens to you? this huge excitement for starting a project and you could not think of something else rather than holding the hook? ohhh my…

I decided to use all my scraps of yarn…all my leftover little bits and bigger bits of yarn…

yarn1

and there is a lot of colours in my stash…some are tiny balls that make only one round and some are bigger…

yarn2

Oh how I love colorful yarn like that!

I must confess something: My favorite colour these days is yellow-mustard a colour I used to hate when younger…now it is my favorite and I am using it a lot in this project…People change πŸ˜‰

yarn3

So, I had to start a project that I can easily crochetΒ during hot days…

and making separate squares is not something heavy you have to carry on your lap..

so it had to be squares…squares that I will join later…maybe in autumn… I will not think about the joining method nor the colour now even though yellow-mustard joining is on my mind πŸ™‚ hahaha

Wanna see the squares?

the-happy-blankie-wip1

Oh! oh! oh! These are happy squares aren’t they?

I am really really enjoying crocheting each square and taking a lot of pleasure in choosing 4 colours for each one πŸ™‚

the-happy-blankie-wip2

This is the kind of projects that makes my heart beats faster πŸ™‚ boum boum boum πŸ™‚

the-happy-blankie-wip3

It will be a happy blanket I am sure πŸ™‚

Sending happy thoughts your way…

and wishing you a very happy weekend!

Sucrette

P.S: For the squares I am using this classic pattern but with a small change: I am making 2tr,2ch,2tr in each corner instead of 2tr,1ch,2tr like on the graph πŸ˜‰

Each square is made with 4 rounds, each round crocheted with a different colour πŸ˜‰

Monday again!

Good morning ladies!

How are you? Time really flies …here we are already in march…and it is monday again πŸ™‚ I love the smell of spring of march πŸ™‚

I’ve began two new wips I want to share with you today πŸ™‚

A baby blanket for a cousin of mine who’s expecting a little princess in July πŸ™‚

Here is a close up of the squares I’m making…

baby-blanket-wip3

I love this blanket… I added to its original square a round of dc …to add more white…

baby-blanket-wip4

I am loving how it is turning out and I’ve already done all the circles (the first two rounds of them πŸ˜‰ )

The second wip is a cowl for myself…a very big cowl that I can fold two times around my neck….

yarn-for-cowl

cowl-wip1

I am working it using the moss stitch (1sc, 1ch, 1sc, 1ch) etc

I simply loooove that stitch πŸ™‚

cowl-wip2

I amΒ crocheting itΒ with the “MIRAGE” a 100% acrylic yarn but instead of the 3mm hook suggested on the yarn I am using a 5mm hook to have a light effect…

cowl-wip3

Finally lovely ladies a pic of my bundle of joy who’s enjoying his new toy…
