Cushions, cushions and more cushions!

Goooooooooood morniiiiiiiiiing lovely people!

It’s a BOY!!! Yes, I’m expecting a boy and I’m really really happy about it ๐Ÿ™‚ Some of you my friends suggested to keep the surprise for the birth but I can not …I’m too curious ๐Ÿ™‚ I can not wait the whole 9 months to know if it willย be a boy or a girlย ๐Ÿ™‚ I have to prepare crochet things too ๐Ÿ˜‰

So, after my two girls (6 and 4 years old) I am very happy that number 3 is a boy ๐Ÿ™‚ and I had tears in my eyes when I saw him moving inside me and hearing his heart beats …(I am sooo emotive when I’m pregnant … it is sometimes embarrasing in front of strangers ๐Ÿ˜€ )

Thank you so much for all your birthday greetings and your lovely messages ๐Ÿ™‚ I am sooo lucky to have you all ๐Ÿ™‚

Today, I will show you two new cushions I made lately ๐Ÿ™‚ Yes, two ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s cushionnnnn tiiiiiiiiiiiime ๐Ÿ™‚

The first one is a patchwork crocheted one …I showed it to you as a wip…here it is: done ๐Ÿ˜‰

I love it! It is sooo cute…don’t you think?

and then I made a second one inspired by the talented Lucy in her lovely post HERE. A fabric patchwork one ….Oh I am sooo proud of myself ๐Ÿ™‚ This is the first time I ever made a patchwork and I love it too … see?

It is not perfect…It is made of small pieces of left over fabric and if you look closer you’ll discover that it is not perfect at all ๐Ÿ™‚ but it is a first attempt and, no matter what you’ll say, I am proud of it ๐Ÿ˜€ hehe

I’ve even added some decorations ๐Ÿ™‚

But don’t ask me about the zipper…hahaha…I will not show it to you … It is well hidden and not so nice to look at ๐Ÿ™‚

But I promise, that next time, It will be better ๐Ÿ™‚

but I love them together…two patchwork cushions…one crochet and one fabric…I thought about making one mixed (crocheted and fabric squares)ย but I don’t know what will it look like … have to try it…

I’m very happy that I don’t have anymore any beige cushions (the ones that comes with the sofas)… All are transformed ๐Ÿ˜‰

Andย ย this is my latest purchase (the fabric one with the button in the middle)

Oh how I love cushions! I can’t help myself bying and making new ones…It is addictive ๐Ÿ™‚

Have to go now… I’ll be far from you my sweeties in the coming week…I’m taking a break with Hubby to recharge our batteries ๐Ÿ˜‰

The girls are staying in their grandparents house and we’ll be on a cruise (Barcelona (Spain)- Roma (Italy) – Florence (Italy) and Cannes France) and then back to Barcelona between May11 and May 18 ๐Ÿ˜€

I am sooooo thrilled about this trip ! I’ll miss you all! But will come back very soon with lots of pics!

Kisses!

On the hook…

Good morning sweeties,

I am so thankful for all the lovely comments you wrote concerning my home ๐Ÿ™‚ I was so happy reading each word …some made me laugh and some brought tears to my eyes (don’t worry it is my “hormones” ๐Ÿ™‚ ) Thank you sooo much! Your comments gave me back confidence about my decorating taste and the colors surrounding me…

You gave me back the joy I needed to live peacefully and happily in my loving home and that’s why I’m so thankful to you…You made me appreciate again my place…You really did aย great job ๐Ÿ˜€ THANK YOUย from the bottom of my heart!

Today, I want to show you a cushion I’m working on…It is a patchwork cushion crocheted with leftover “Mirage” yarn…

I think my house is full of leftover yarn and I don’t have any ball ofย yarn that is still totally new ๐Ÿ™‚

Mirage is a 100% acrylic yarn worked with a 2.5mm crochet hook. Wanna take a look first to the yarn used ?

Yes, I know, you are like myselfย a yarn-addict ๐Ÿ˜‰ and you totallyย love to see yarn pics… ย I understand ๐Ÿ™‚ hehe

I just love the colors and the softness of “Mirage”.ย ย The only drawback of this is that yarn is very thin (crocheted with a 2.5 mm hook) but it is ok and I try to get used to it…

and this is the cushion I’m working on…mostly finished ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope to make also some new covers for the leather stools I have at home with “Mirage” once the cushion is done…

I love these tiny granny squares joined together as-I-go …

What do you think?

I’m off now to take a cup of coffee in my favorite chair surrounded by my favorite colorful cushions and throws ๐Ÿ˜‰

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sending you big big kisses and hugs through this post ๐Ÿ™‚

Crochet, crochet and more crochet :)

Gooood morninnnnng!

How are you today? Even though it is monday and it is grey and it is raining and it is coldย I’m feeling goooood ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope you’re feeling the same ๐Ÿ˜‰

This weekend I’ve made the first steps of Love Birds…and I enjoyed it to the max…

little 3 rounds-granny-squares ๐Ÿ™‚

the hearts of Love Birds ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve made one with every color of my stash…

You can not imagine the amount of pleasure this new wip blanket is giving me ๐Ÿ™‚

and I’ve made some progress on my rainbow ripple too…

I know, I know the colors are too bright…but I’m loving it for this particular reason… A rainbow must have bright colors, don’t you agree? It must brighten up the greyest days of winter !

ย

8 more rows to go and I’ll finish it ! I’ll surely miss rippling with its bright colors… suchย aย soothing effect ๐Ÿ™‚

When I’ll finish my rainbow ripple, I want to crochet a cushion like this one. I fell crazyย in love with this cute cushion made by the talented Paula! and ever since I’ve kept it in my mind ๐Ÿ™‚ She even shared how she made it:hereย and she crocheted also another gorgeous one! Thank you Paula for this inspiring work!

Go visit Paula, She’s got a lovely blog where she share beautiful handmade cards and gorgeous crochet!

That’s it for today! It was all crochet talking ๐Ÿ™‚ Don’t you sometimes feel so grateful because you know how to crochet? ๐Ÿ™‚

Isn’t it wonderful thatย with this small piece that we call : “hook” andย ย some yarn you can make such beautiful things that make you and your loved ones so happy ๐Ÿ™‚ ?

Happy monday to you all!

LOVE,

Back on the wheels: Sucrette’s square: two finished projects!!

Goooood morniiiing !

Yes, I’m back on the wheels… After a couple of gray days, light came back again in my life and mostly because of you and your supporting sweet words… Thank you so much my friend for your presence and for being so caring and loving…You’ll never know how much I needed every single word you left in the comments ๐Ÿ™‚

During the holidays, I worked on something I want to share with you today…In fact, the two new wips I talked about in this previous post were somehow linked in one new square I created during Christmas time.

Enough talking… let’s see something …I hear you say … ok ok ๐Ÿ™‚

With some thin cotton yarn, I’ve made some little colorful granny flowers…

and with these granny flowers I transformed a white lampshade…The same kind of lampshade I transformed back in 2010…Do you remember it?

But this time I used small granny flowers with hot glue…

and I prefer this one:

mmmh ๐Ÿ™‚ Isn’t it lovely?

And after I fall totally in love with this colorful granny flower …I decided to continue with the pattern and make it a square, yes, a little square with a 3D granny flower in it…

A little afghan block that can be used to make blankets, scarfs, potholders, coasters, cushions, table runners…etc…A variety of cute crocheted projects from this little square of mine…

ย I’m gonna call it : Sucrette’s square ๐Ÿ™‚ because it is granny and because it is colorful and because I created it and I’m madly in love with it ๐Ÿ™‚

ย So, with Sucrette’s square I’ve made these two:

ย A white lampshade decorated with little colorful granny flowers…

and…

A rectangle cushion with a green background like a field of flowers to welcome spring ๐Ÿ˜‰ (It is not too far anymore:) )

Sucrette’s square PDF pattern ( a graphic pattern with step by step pictures) will be available very soon in my etsy shop ๐Ÿ™‚ Yes, yes, yes, I’m gonna open an etsy shop and I’m totally excited about it!

And also available, very soon, here, to purchase for a very special symbolic price for you my dear friends…

Have to go now…back on the wheels…back to my ripple…and my painting…and and and… so many projects on my head… I wish I had 4 hands and days of 48 hours ๐Ÿ™‚

Love you all…and wish you a super day!

Stripes of love…more progress

Good morniiiiing!

Hope you’re feeling well today ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve added more stripes to my Hubby’s blanket… This blanket is slowly growing and I love it so far… and I love every stitch crocheted while thinking of him …

I even added purple as my friend Debi suggested … and it turned out very nice with the other colors… (Thank you Debi!)

What do you think? Is it still masculine? My hubby loves it so far and he don’t care so much for the colors …he just told me that he wants it to be big …big enough for him and that means VERYYY BIG ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope I’ll not get bored… ๐Ÿ˜‰

but I do not get bored easily as I have many wips… and I mix between them ๐Ÿ™‚

Now I ran out of yarn for this blanket…This is the perfect excuse to go yarn shopping today!! yehhhhhhhhh!!

I just LOOOOVEEE to buy yarn … I’m gonna add some for Stripes of Love and some more so I can join the ripple along held by Lucy and Heather! I’m very happy to start a new ripple… It is always soo good to start a project…

specially if it is a blanket! Although I have two blankets on the go right now I am sooo thrilled to start a third one!!!

Wishing you a Wonderful Wednesday!
