Good morning sweeties,

February was a very good productive month for me. I’ve finished two of my wips blankets. My crochet mood blanket (the centered pic in the pic above) and the baby girl V stitch blanket 🙂

2

Today’s post is all about this last one 🙂 A simple stripy V stitch blanket that turned out very pretty 🙂

3

I loved working on it. The happy colors made my heart sings with joy and I loved the soothing calming music of the pattern 🙂

You can find the chart of this stitch right here 🙂

4

I used Nako baby yarn which is a mixture of polyamid and acrylic and it is a very very soft and a pure pleasure yarn to work with. I crocheted it with a 3.5mm hook.

For the edging I’ve used the same Vstitch all around the blanket but I’ve made picots instead of the 2ch … (for the picot: I crochet 4chain and 1sc in the firt chain) I love picots… they really make the sweetest edgings 🙂 This blanket will be for the sweet princess due in April…

6

And now I started another Baby blanket for a sweet boy due in March… Yes I am late, I know, but I will do it 🙂

Have to leave you now my friend! Wishing you a lovely week 🙂

Love to all!

me-time

By | May 15th, 2013|flowers, heart, In my craft room, sewing, Uncategorized|20 Comments

Hello everybody !

Joe is going to daycare for a couple of hours per day, the girls are at school and I am back to life 🙂

That’s how I’m feeling…sorry if this sounds rude to some of you but I really really really missed being alone just me with myself for an hour or two… and spending some me-time without thinking: should I be able to finish this round of crochet before he wakes up from his nap?

I think that when you’re away from your children for a couple of hours that makes you a better mom when you’re with them again…and that makes you appreciate every moment spent with them even more…don’t you think?

So, lovelies, I am back to life, back to my craft room (that is on the first floor of my house), back to my sewing machine, back to my paintings too…Oh how I missed spending some time down there…

In the first months after Joe was born I felted an urgent need to go down…just for an hour…but that was impossible…now it is…

Just sitting behind the sewing machine was a real pleasure…

craft-room3

I’ve made nothing important…I’ve sewed some hearts for my sister’s home (she asked me if I could make some for her home back in december 🙂 )

craft-room2

Opening the closet and smelling the colorful fabric was blissful too 🙂

blue-sky

How about looking from the window and appreciating the beauty of our springy blue sky…

flowers

and admiring the lovely little flowers that the girls planted at school and brought back home with them…

Oh how I miss these 3 little people of mine when they are away…

Life is a treasure my friend… enjoy every second…

and have a beautiful day!

Kisses, hugs and LOVE to all!

Thank you my friends! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

The pics of this post were taken on sunday afternoon:

It was a perfect afternoon…the girls were with their father playing in the garden…and I was alone on the terrace…

enjoying sitting surrounded by flowers … quietly…

and crocheting a little…

concentrating a lot…

Trying to create something “wearable”…

for the little one inside my tummy …

And as I was really enjoying my little hour of quiet in this busy and noisy sunday…the sun went down…

and it was one of the most perfect sunset I’ve ever seen…

so I said a little thankful prayer as I was so blessed  to be alive and “in peace” with myself enjoying sinple pleasures…

 in this strange world…

Have a blessed day wherever you are 🙂

Good sunny morning to you all!

I hope that the sun is shining today in your part of the world 🙂

Today, a lot to share with you…

Progress on 3 wips and a good news…

Let’s begin with the wips shall we?

A new painting…I’m loving so far…

More slow progress on my Love Birds bed blanket….

Some squares were 100%done, some needs the last blue round and some are still babies…

but I’m happily working on it 🙂

and more progress on my poncho too : 19 rounds so far 😉

and finally the good news is: Yes, I’m expecting (you already guessed 😀 …but chuuuut I’m still afraid to tell 🙂

I am now in the last days of my third month but I still have that fear … I think it will never goes away… but my heart sings with joy when I think about the little baby growing inside of me 🙂

and yes, I’m gonna spoil him (or her) with a lot A LOT of crochet 🙂 For my first two babies (in 2005 and 2007), I did not crochet at the time, so my mother made for them crocheted blankets and I was making cross stitch for their rooms…but now…OH MY…I’m gonna make blankets, hats, socks, amigurumi toys, little sweaters… everything I can make with my hook 😉 I can not wait to STAAAAAAAAAART 🙂 crazy mom!

That’s all my sweet friends ! I am today very happy and calm! I hope you’re feeling the same!

THANK YOU so much as always for your support and your kind comments … I am so lucky to have you all 🙂

Have a wonderful week!

Deep orange and yellow…

By | January 9th, 2012|flowers, Uncategorized|42 Comments

Sometimes I feel like I’m zero creative and I feel down down down….I can not even hold my crochet hook…and I am unable to do anything at home… 🙁

Even though those kind of days are rare, they do happen and I can not make anything but wait until they go…

Sometimes I buy flowers… to bring back my normal happy mood …

Sometimes it works… sometimes it doesn’t…

See you very soon in a much better mood I hope…
