Just a quiet afternoon…

Ohhhhhh WOW WOW WOW! I am really really astonished by all your wonderful comments! Wow! I was more than happy reading each and everyone of them 🙂 They made my heart sing with joy and I wished I could send the prize to each and everyone 🙂 OH WOOOW: 338 comments so far 🙂 I am so lucky to have you 🙂 Thank you! Thank you my friends! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

The pics of this post were taken on sunday afternoon:

It was a perfect afternoon…the girls were with their father playing in the garden…and I was alone on the terrace…

enjoying sitting surrounded by flowers … quietly…

and crocheting a little…

concentrating a lot…

Trying to create something “wearable”…

for the little one inside my tummy …

And as I was really enjoying my little hour of quiet in this busy and noisy sunday…the sun went down…

and it was one of the most perfect sunset I’ve ever seen…

so I said a little thankful prayer as I was so blessed  to be alive and “in peace” with myself enjoying sinple pleasures…

 in this strange world…

Have a blessed day wherever you are 🙂

The joyful ripple

Good morniiiiiiing!

The first project for number3 is done 🙂 ! Hourray! and I love it! It is so easy and quick to finish a baby blanket that you become addicted and you want to crochet more and more! It is a really fun experience and you feel very happy to finish so quickly a project 🙂

Some pics of the joyful ripple for you my friend to enjoy …

Here it is:

The yarn is called “Mirage” and it is a 100% acrylic yarn crocheted with a 3mm hook… I really love this yarn…very soft (perfect for babies) with super colors …it is very similar to the Stylecraft special DK but a little thinner and the quality is better wash after wash…

I buy this yarn form a local shop here in Beirut …don’t know if they have an online shop…

The pattern of this ripple can be found HERE. It is a very easy to follow pattern and I love how it turns out 🙂

I did not make a border for this blanket as I prefered to leave it as it is and have the “waves” from two sides …

I am now on my week 17 of pregnancy… don’t know yet if it is a boy or a girl…will know maybe on the 7th of May (on my birthday) 🙂 as I have an “echo” (do we say echo in English?) and will let you know too 😉 of course 😉

I am not feeling until now any baby kicks …I am sooooo waiting for them 🙂 It is one of the best things about pregnancy…to feel your baby living inside of you…

So, my lovelies, that was the first finished project for little baby 🙂 The joyful ripple goes well for both baby boy or girl 🙂 Can’t wait to know if he is a he or she 🙂

I feel that I am on a little cloud of happiness 🙂 flying with birds high on the sky and I have all the time that idiot smile on my face 🙂

I wish to you too a very happy week  and an eternal smile on your face 🙂 Life is good!

Big kisses!

The joyful ripple

Good morning sweeties,

How are you?

As you guessed from the title of this post, I’ve began a ripple blanket for my baby…Yes, babies do need blankets, don’t they? and I’m ready to make some for the little one I’m expecting…The first blanket will be a ripple…We’ll see for the others 😉

I’m loving this ripple more than anything I’ve made before (but this is always the case for every project) and I’m loving working on it…

Let’s see some pics…

Do you remember the yarn I’ve shown you HERE?

Well…this is it 🙂 The yarn is called Mirage. It is a 100% acrylic yarn…very soft and a pure pleasure to work with…The yarn is thin (crocheted with a 3mm crochet hook) and perfect for babies stuff…

This kind of thin yarn is kind of new to me as I’m used now to work with my nako and a 4.5mm hook…but it is ok…and I have difficulties putting down my joyful ripple to work on other projects 🙂 I am now totally addicted to it!

The colors are bold and bright. I love these colors for babies and I prefere them to the pastels ones… don’t know why…I don’t like to use a light blue for boys and a light pink for girls…I love bright and sunshiny colors for both 🙂 perfect against the mother’s baby blues 😉

I don’t know yet if I’m expecting a boy or a girl but this kind of colorful project is good for both…

The pattern I’m using is very simple and soooo soothing and relaxing to work on…I think it is my favorite pattern.

You can find it HERE!

I’ve began with a 180 chain (16×11 +4). Your beginning chain must be a multiple of 11 + 4 in this pattern…

I’ve made more and more progress since I took these pics…and it is turing out very nice I must confess…will show you very soon 🙂

Have to go now… I’m taking the girls today to the hairdresser for a spring cut 🙂

Thank you so much for your visit,

Have a beautiful day!

A monday morning…

Good morning my sweeties,
How are you feeling today? How was your weekend?
Here, the weather was perfectly springy this weekend and the children played outside … it was a perfect weekend with sunshine and even birds singing…
This morning, the gray weather came back again and after the girls go to school I took some pics of the garden… a garden a little sad without sunshine and the children’s laughter …

I live near my parent’s house and we have the garden between the two houses…

So, from our terrace, the girls can call Geddo and Setto 🙂 (It is how we call the grandparents here in Lebanon)

I’ve made some progress with my baby blanket this weekend…

I’ve already crocheted all the circles and I still have to join two rows of squares and make a cute edging…

So, my sweeties, a tadaaaa post is coming soon 😉

Also, next time, I’ll open for you this lovely book (in the pic above) so you can take a peek to its beautiful pics…Believe me, it is a DELICIOUS book 🙂

So, stay tuned 😉

and have a marvellous monday!

P.S: About the Nako yarn, I know that many of you would love to try out this yarn and order some online, I’m trying as hard as I can to make that happen, I’ll tell you more about it if it works…(crossing my fingers)!!
