Hello there!

Good morning sweeties,

I’ve been away from this blog due to some family time, school preparations and home organisation….pfff… Next week I’ll be taking some rest finally… and I’ll be more present here (I hope so…)

I missed you guys and missed blogland and missed writing on this blog…Life can sometimes be like a race against time (google translate thank you πŸ™‚ )

applique-cushion-with-hearts-1

I thought I’ll pop by today just to show you little bits of my creative life… There is so much going on there but so little time for blogging… I finished the cushion you saw above… I sew these hearts by hand and I like how it turned out…

applique-cushion-with-hearts-2

I am still working on these granny squares (that I still don’t know what they’ll become hahahaha )

granny-with-white-1

I am loving this project so much! Oh how I love granny squares πŸ™‚

granny-with-white-2

It is I think the best thing I love to crochet… granny squares πŸ™‚

granny-with-white-4

And I love how the colors melt together… A perfect project for quite evenings when the children are in bed FINALLY … It isΒ the best hour… I feel like all the tiredness of the day just goes away when I hold my hook… around 8 o’clock…

granny-with-white-3

and I started something new too… (can’t help myself) (If you follow me on facebook or instagram you already saw this pic below)…

It is a shawl in the most perfect and soft blue color… (This pic does not show the color as it is “live” I’ll try next time to have a more accurate pic πŸ˜‰ )

I asked hubby when showing him this : What are you seeing? He answered: Nothing. πŸ™‚ But I was really happy that when I posted the pic on instagram and facebook you ladies saw hearts like myself…Yes, I saw hearts and fell in love with this…

It is a very old paper (a photocopie in black and white) I found in my mother’s house and I just could not help myself trying out the diagram… and it worked… and I am loving how it is turning out… So, if you’re interested, I’ll try to take a pic of the diagram and post itΒ for you…

That’s all sweet ladies around the globe… It was a pleasure being with you today… I’m sending you all my love and lots of kisses!

Thank you for visiting, for commenting and for asking about the situation in my country… You can never imagine how much I appreciate your kind messages πŸ™‚

THANK YOU!

It is all about crochet …

Good morning sweet people around the globe!

It is always so nice to have you here…Thank you all for your wishes on Baby Joe’s birthday πŸ™‚ Your nice words made my day πŸ™‚

Today’s post is all about crochet… and I am not feeling super sure about myself anymore…I will explain…

1-grannies

These days I am like a child experimentingΒ with his new toys… I feel like I just learned how to crochet and I lost my self confidence …

2-2new-wips

I will not say that these will become bedspreads… I will not even say that they will be blankets…neither cushions… I will just enjoy crocheting…just enjoy the stitches I am doing and the making of whatever they will turn into…

3-grannies-with-white-border

I am afraid to make plans…even crochet plans…that’s how I am these days…

I left behind the crazy ripple I was doing…did not like how it is turning out as a bedspread…I tried it on the bed and did not like what I saw…did not feel it…

This is the first time something like that is happening to me: 22 hours of crochet forΒ nothing…I am so dissapointed…Β Maybe I’ll finish it one day asΒ  a blanket… and maybe not…

4-classic-joined-as-I-go

Now I am making these grannies and classic squares that … I hope … will turn into something…

5-yarn

Using my leftover stash…I’ll try to enjoy crocheting…just crocheting…without thinking about the result….

6-in-love-with-my-new-basket

Did you experience something like that before? Did you one day lost your self confidence about your trustful craft? Did you left behind a project you were crazy about and spent on it long hours of crocheting-knitting?

Please share your experience… I would love to hear about it…

A lovely wednesday to all!

Kisses and love

A double tadaaaa

Hello hello hello!

What shall I show you first today? This post is special as I have to show you two finished projects and they are both lovely πŸ™‚

Ok. First.The pink stool.

I’ve had this wood stool from ages ago but it was in an ugly brown…I painted it pink and decided to make for it a nice crocheted cover…that was in may 2012 if my memory is good … I started it with the Ricco creative cotton… and never blogged about it…

Last week I decided to finish it πŸ˜‰

Because I was into “stools” and was making the red one for a special order, the pink one had to be done too…

So, here it is: Enjoyyyyyyyyy………………….

For the edging I sew this cute pompom trim to the back of the crochet πŸ™‚

I love pompoms πŸ˜€

That’s all my friends πŸ™‚

Next time I’ll tell you about the crazy project I am in now … It is taking all my time, I’m thinking about it all day long and it is making me crazy πŸ™‚

Sending you happy kisses and lot lot of love through this post!

P.S: If you fancy making a cat you can order the book from the right sidebar of the blog between the lovely books. The book has very simple and clear instructions to make a cute cat on your own! Enjoy it!

A red stool: Before and after

Good morning!

I finished the cover for the pink stool but I tried it on a red stool I had at home and it was better. Much better…

Wanna see? Ok

Here is the red stool before:

red-stool-1-before

And here it is after….Tadaaaaaaaaaaaa…

red-stool-2-after

Very happy with the result I must confess…

Here are for you some pics to enjoy πŸ˜‰

red-stool-3

A view from above…pretty colorful granny squares joined together as-I-go …

red-stool-5

I’ve added a trim of green pompom and I love love love it πŸ™‚

red-stool-4

This stool is a special order for a very kind lady… Even though I wished it was mine I am very happy that she loved it πŸ˜€ and that it will be cherished in its new home πŸ™‚

red-stool-6

Here is “Mustard” saying goodbye to his friend…

red-stool-7

He was with me during all the steps of the stool’s making πŸ˜‰

For this stool I used this yarnΒ worked with a 2.5mm crochet hook.

Now I am finishing a second cover with the rico creative cotton. (I began this cover 14 months ago but did not blogged about it) This second cover will be for the pink stool. More about this in a next post πŸ˜‰

Have to go now…

I hope that you loved the stool…

It is already gone to its new home and I kind of missed it here…

Have a lovely day!

Friday…already???

Hello sweeties,

It is friday already and we are in August. Time really flies and sometimes I just don’t realize how time is passing by so quickly…

I am crocheting a lot these days and that makes me really happy and takes all the stress away πŸ™‚

I told you in a previous post about that special order of a pink wood stool…

pink-stool-wip1

… I’ve began the crochet-granny-squares-cover of it…

pink-stool-wip2

and I am very pleased with how it is turning out πŸ˜‰

And guess what? I finished my very own amineko. Yes, this guy, this mustard guy is totally mine…

(This mustard color is my favorite of the moment. I used to hate, yes hate this color in the past…now I love it πŸ™‚ )

my-amineko

I love his wide eyes open. He seems very curious about everything just like myself πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

my-amineko--

I crocheted it with a thinner yarn than the previous ones. So this one is smaller …

two-together

and guess what? Hubby wants one πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ hahahaha and he already chose the colors πŸ™‚

But he’ll have to wait because I have to finish the stool cover first πŸ˜‰

amineko

Life is good my friend… Enjoy it… Enjoy every second of it…

Wishing you a wonderful weekend with your loved ones

Thank you for visiting!
