L O V E

You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.
You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days.
And, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each others cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Give your hearts, but not into each others keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each others shadow.

Gibran Kahlil Gibran

May Love be always in your home and in your heart,

Happy Valentine’s day!

Stuffed heart with dc: the pattern

Hello my friend,

Here is the pattern of the stuffed heart with dc (better than the one with tr because it has less holes:))

The crocheting method is the same as for the heart made with tr:

Begin making the first hump of the heart : the bump A:

1st round: 8dc

round 2to round 6: 16dc

You’ve already done the first bump which we are going to call bumpA

You have now to do another same bump (exactly the same as A) made with 6 rounds that we are going to call bump B.

round 7: You have to join together A and B with 3 dc and continue making the round with 28dc

Now you have A and B joined together with the 7th round …

continue your heart like this:

round 8: 28dc

round 9: 19dc (1dc, 2-st dc decrease, 1dc, 2-st dc decrease, 1 dc, 2-st dc decrease…etc to have a total of 19dc)

round 10: 19dc same as round 9

round11: 13dc (1dc, 2-st dc decrease, 1dc, 2-st dc decrease, 1 dc, 2-st dc decrease…etc to have a total of 19dc)

round 12: 13dc same as round11

round 13: 9dc (1dc, 2-st dc decrease, 1dc, 2-st dc decrease, 1 dc, 2-st dc decrease…etc to have a total of 9dc)

round 14: 4dc (2-st dc decrease, 2-st dc decrease etc)

That’s it my lovelies! Very simple you’ll see when you’ll try it 🙂

This simple heart makes a very nice Christmas tree decoration. And it is lovely also in a closet if stuffed with lavender:)

I would love to see some of your hearts made from this pattern, I’ll be very happy!

Have a perfect week end!

Kisses,

Playing with dcs…

Good morning ,

I am waiting for the arrival of 40 yarns straight from the UK …I have in mind to make a very big blanket, big enough to cover all our double sized bed…yaaay I don’t know if I will be patient enough to finish this kind of big project…we will see…

It takes too long to come all the way from the UK to Lebanon, so, I’ve been playing theses two past days with the left over yarns from the cotton ones I used to remake the two leather stools (yes the number 2 is done:) I’ll show it to you very soon, did not take any pics yet)

It’s been a while since I did crochet anything with just dcs…but I learned today that I do not love this kind of crochet projects… No, I don’t like to make 3D objects or amigurumi things…That was the conclusion of the day 🙂

Sorry if I talked too much, lets have some pics…

I made a “doudou” , a kind of doggy, for my niece Clara who is 5 months old:)…and then I tried a Christmas ball for the Christmas tree but that was a first trial, not too good as you’ll notice :S:S

and finally, I crocheted a 3D heart (a new pattern I made) using dc as I noticed the 3D one crocheted with tr have some holes in it and was not too perfect as a heart should be… (If anyone is interested in the pattern of this heart, let me know and I’ll be glad to post it:))

So, what do you think?

Uuuuuf that was a very long post…

I am practicing my English thanks to you dear readers :):)

I have now to leave you and wish you a wonderful day full of beautiful moments…

Kisses!

3D stuffed heart: the pattern

This post is for a very sweet lady named José who asked for the pattern of the stuffed heart.

Dear José, I’ll try here to explain as much as I can how I finally did this little heart after many and many trials… So, excuse my poor English and try to crochet along with me while following these instructions…

Begin making the first hump of the heart : the bump A:

1st round: 12 treble crochet

round 2: 24 tb

round 3: 24tb

round 4: 24tb

like this:

now you’ve already done the first bump which we are going to call bumpA

You have now to do another same bump (exactly the same as A) made with 4 rounds that we are going to call bump B.

round 5: You have to join together A and B with 3 dc and continue making the round with 42 tc like here: (follow the 5 arrows while crocheting the 42 tc)

Now you have A and B joined together with the 5th round …

continue your heart like this:

round 6: 42tc

round 7: 28 tc (1tc, 2-st tr decrease, 1tc, 2-st tr decrease, 1 tc, 2-st tr decrease…etc to have a total of 28tc)

round 8: 20 tc (1tc, 2-st tr decrease, 1tc, 2-st tr decrease, 1 tc, 2-st tr decrease…etc to have a total of 20tc)

round9: 14tc (1tc, 2-st tr decrease, 1tc, 2-st tr decrease, 1 tc, 2-st tr decrease…etc to have a total of 14tc)

round 10: 9tc (1tc, 2-st tr decrease, 1tc, 2-st tr decrease, 1 tc, 2-st tr decrease…etc to have a total of 9tc)

and finally round 11: 4dc

Don’t forget to stuff your heart after the round 8!

That is all I can really do to explain…I hope that my instructions were easy to follow… waiting to see your stuffed heart too 😉

Don’t hesitate to ask any question, I’ll do my best to have clear answers…
