The table runner :)

Oh hello lovelies!

It is such a beautiful day today and I’m in love… deeply madly crazy in love with my latest finished project… Are you ready to fall too? I’m sure you are πŸ˜‰

I love love love this simple graphic square…I think it is simple but beautiful… and I love it even more because it is the fruit of my imagination… my own drawing… πŸ™‚

and I love the whole result…the table runner in all its glory…all these bright and beautiful colors mixed together in a lovely patchwork…

I feel happy whenever I enter the sitting room πŸ™‚

Now for the part you are all waiting for: The how to…

I crocheted this table runner with a thin cotton yarn called “Camilla 6/4” and a 2mm crochet hook. I made it by joining as I go the squares together in a randomly use of colors…

I drew for you my friend the graphic chart of this square… It is right here:

As you noticed, the joining part was made as-I-go with round 5 (in black in the chart) and it is done where I put the arrows…(Instead of the middle chain a slip joining stitch)

Each square was done in a different color and I made a very simple edging (1sc, 4ch, 1sc) all around the whole table runner…

I am in love with it (did I already told you that?? I don’t think so :D) and I think that this graphic square will be beautiful if used to make coasters, cushions or a summer blanket why not?

So, my lovely friend, I’ll have to leave you now with a last pic…

and wish you a wonderful day!

P.S: I draw all my graphic charts including this oneΒ using Corel Draw (a graphic design software) as many of you keep asking me πŸ™‚

and one last thing: Some of you asks me if I can explain some of the charts with written words and I am so sorry about that but I just can’t do it sometimes… I am unable to do it πŸ™ It is too difficult for me as I myself cannot follow an english written pattern πŸ™ not yet! but one day… πŸ˜‰

Kisses to all!

Cushions, cushions and more cushions!

Goooooooooood morniiiiiiiiiing lovely people!

It’s a BOY!!! Yes, I’m expecting a boy and I’m really really happy about it πŸ™‚ Some of you my friends suggested to keep the surprise for the birth but I can not …I’m too curious πŸ™‚ I can not wait the whole 9 months to know if it willΒ be a boy or a girlΒ πŸ™‚ I have to prepare crochet things too πŸ˜‰

So, after my two girls (6 and 4 years old) I am very happy that number 3 is a boy πŸ™‚ and I had tears in my eyes when I saw him moving inside me and hearing his heart beats …(I am sooo emotive when I’m pregnant … it is sometimes embarrasing in front of strangers πŸ˜€ )

Thank you so much for all your birthday greetings and your lovely messages πŸ™‚ I am sooo lucky to have you all πŸ™‚

Today, I will show you two new cushions I made lately πŸ™‚ Yes, two πŸ™‚ It’s cushionnnnn tiiiiiiiiiiiime πŸ™‚

The first one is a patchwork crocheted one …I showed it to you as a wip…here it is: done πŸ˜‰

I love it! It is sooo cute…don’t you think?

and then I made a second one inspired by the talented Lucy in her lovely post HERE. A fabric patchwork one ….Oh I am sooo proud of myself πŸ™‚ This is the first time I ever made a patchwork and I love it too … see?

It is not perfect…It is made of small pieces of left over fabric and if you look closer you’ll discover that it is not perfect at all πŸ™‚ but it is a first attempt and, no matter what you’ll say, I am proud of it πŸ˜€ hehe

I’ve even added some decorations πŸ™‚

But don’t ask me about the zipper…hahaha…I will not show it to you … It is well hidden and not so nice to look at πŸ™‚

But I promise, that next time, It will be better πŸ™‚

but I love them together…two patchwork cushions…one crochet and one fabric…I thought about making one mixed (crocheted and fabric squares)Β but I don’t know what will it look like … have to try it…

I’m very happy that I don’t have anymore any beige cushions (the ones that comes with the sofas)… All are transformed πŸ˜‰

AndΒ Β this is my latest purchase (the fabric one with the button in the middle)

Oh how I love cushions! I can’t help myself bying and making new ones…It is addictive πŸ™‚

Have to go now… I’ll be far from you my sweeties in the coming week…I’m taking a break with Hubby to recharge our batteries πŸ˜‰

The girls are staying in their grandparents house and we’ll be on a cruise (Barcelona (Spain)- Roma (Italy) – Florence (Italy) and Cannes France) and then back to Barcelona between May11 and May 18 πŸ˜€

I am sooooo thrilled about this trip ! I’ll miss you all! But will come back very soon with lots of pics!

Kisses!
