The rainbow ripple

By | November 14th, 2014|"done", Crocheted blankets, for babies, rainbow, Ripple, Uncategorized|35 Comments

Good morning sweet people,

The baby rainbow ripple blanket is done and I can proudly show it to you 🙂

I’ve had some hard time taking pics of this beauty because the colors are really tricky to show as they are “live” but I did my best and believe me the “real” blanket is much more beautiful than in the pics. It is softer, the colors are melting together in much lovelier way…

Well, As long as you can not see it “live” 😉 Here are some pics for you 😉

Here are some techinical infos for you 😉

* Yarn: It is a very soft and snuggly yarn called Nako Baby. A mixture of acrylic and polyamid.

* Colors: The colors of the rainbow: Blue, purple, light purple, red, orange, yellow, green, aqua

* Hook: 3.5mm

* Pattern: Ripples of happiness. HERE

* Basic chain: 154 ch. Number of rows: 68 (every time 4rows of each color)

* Edging: A simple row of sc with picot on the ripple sides. I love to leave the straight sides as they are 😉

This above picture is the best one that shows the colors as they are “live” 🙂

Voila voilou 🙂 I hope that you liked my rainbow 🙂

And I hope that it will be cherished by both the mother and the baby boy due in February 🙂

Sending a rainbow of colors your way. If it is raining, if it is grey, put some colors in your heart and on your hook and the day will be a beautiful one 🙂

Wishing you a colorful weekend!

Goooooood morning!

By | November 7th, 2014|A month with pics, Crocheted blankets, for babies, granny squares, Hexagons, rainbow, Ripple, Uncategorized, wips|12 Comments

Gooooood morning!

How are you today? A small peek into October

It was a really good month full of crochet 🙂

Now that my shawl is done I am now working on 3 different wips. Actually I have 4 wips but one of them is left behind. It is my Crochet Mood Blanket 2014. I am simply not in the mood to work on it. But I know deep inside that I’ll finish it one day…one day…but not now 😉

I love the fact that I am working on 3 different projects at the same time, picking one I feel like crocheting today and picking another different one tomorrow… that “method” suits me a lot and keeps me entusiastic about all my crochet wips 😀

No due time, no dead line. Just my hook, my yarn and my mood of the moment to choose a project from 3 😉

* An hexagon blanket. Crocheting it with the most beautiful and fantastic yarn. The Debbie Bliss Cashmerino aran … so soft and wonderful… I love every stitch 🙂

And I love how it is turning out 🙂

* My granny bedspread. Just grannies… I love crocheting granny squares… 3 colorful rounds surrounded with black . I will need more than 270 squares so it is a long project for a double bedspread…

A project of patience. A project of LOVE 🙂 Hope to finish it this winter 🙂 Not sure about it…. But NO PRESSURE… Just enjoying the crocheting part 🙂 Enjoying every little square done 🙂

* And this soothing calming relaxing rainbow baby blanket. I love how it calms me when I pick it 🙂

I should always have a ripple between my wips 🙂

And I love how this one is turning out too 🙂

Well, my friend, these are my 3  projects of the moment. I love sharing them with you. I have today a full day of home duties and I simply hate that. So if you’re crocheting today think about me 🙂

Sending you all my love through this post

and Wishing you a happy weekend full of crochet 😉

Stay safe

Juggling among wips

By | October 14th, 2014|colors and yarns, Corners of my home, Crocheted blankets, for babies, granny squares, rainbow, Ripple, shawl, Uncategorized, wips|16 Comments

Goooooood morning!

How areeeeee you my friend?

It’s been a while since my last post and I really missed being here… Life has been chaotic and I’ve been running like mad from morning till evening… I crocheted… crocheted a lot… that is a thing I do every day….I always find some minutes for a few stitches done between this and that… but no longer time for blogging… I post every day pics on Instagram and facebook… It is very easy and fast to do it…. but to blog is another thing… I have to sit… upload… write…etc 🙂 and count one hour or two for a single post 😉

So today is a catch up post … as I am juggling among different crochet projects… I thought about making an update to show you my current wips ….

* This is my granny bedspread started months ago. I am actually joining some of its squares (150 done so far) and adding 120 more to have it in a descent size  for our double bed 🙂

Don’t know if I’ll finish it on time for this winter… Hope so 😉

Pattern: The classic granny square

Hook: 4.5mm

Yarn: Nako Vizon 100% acrylic

* The second wip I am currently working on is a rainbow ripple for a cousin’s baby boy due in February 🙂

I am loving too much these rainbow colors and loving working with this soft Nako baby yarn 🙂

Pattern: Ripples of happiness

Hook: 3.5mm

Yarn: Nako baby

* This third wip is actually taking all my free time this week. I am soooo in love with this pattern, this yarn, this color that I have difficulties letting it down for my home duties… 🙂

Pattern: South bay shawlette by Lion brand. It is a free pattern that you can find on Ravelry here. This is my second shawl made with this pattern. I looooove it 🙂

Yarn: Debbie bliss cashmerino aran. Color: Amber

Hook: 4.5mm

So, my friends, I hope that you enjoyed my current wips as much as I am enjoying crocheting them.

OOOOH these are 3 wips and actually I have 4.  I just remembered my Crochet Mood Blanket 2014 left behind 🙁 Will catch up on this wip too and show it to you maybe next time 🙂 It is beautiful…

The weather is turning a little bit colder in my part of the world. It is fall and I love fall. I love taking out the blankets. I love snuggling under them on the evenings. I love my cosy and warm home when it is raining outside…

Have to leave you now …

Going to make a coffee and crochet one or two rows on my shawl before preparing lunch 😉

Take good care of yourself and see you soon

Lots of LOVE

By | January 27th, 2012|Crocheted blankets, rainbow, Ripple, Uncategorized|97 Comments

Bonjouuuuur 🙂

Today is a perfect day to reveal : My Rainbow ripple blanket 🙂 Yes, it is done!

The weather is sooooo bad here, so grey and rainy that a little colorful post is welcome …a little colorful I said? A little too colorful 🙂

Prepare your sunglasses my sweeties and let’s jump into a wonderful world of colorful crochet 🙂 Are you reaaaaaaaaadyyyyy? I bet you are 🙂

Rainbow ripple is crocheted with a 4.5 crochet hook using Nako Vizon a 100% acrylic yarn.

The colors are used as following: Dark green – Turquoise -Dark blue – Purple – Pink – Red – Orange – Yellow – Light green and then Dark green again etc etc as they come in a rainbow…alternating the number of rows of every color as in Lucy’s ripple

The crochet pattern I followed is here 🙂

Did you noticed my “orchidées”… It will make again flowers very soon 🙂 yaaaay!

Here it is laying on the floor of my craft room where the light is not very good in winter days…

Here is a close up of the edging:

I’ve made a simple picot edging on the rippling sides only ! Oh how I love picot edgings 🙂

And here is Rainbow Ripple on the green sofa:

Now the girls are fighting who’s gonna cuddle under it tonight and every night 🙂 It is the first time they fight and I am mouth open in a big smiley face 🙂 Yes, they are fighting for a piece of crochet I made with so much love 🙂

You can take out your sunglasses now 😀 hehe

Have a wonderful day my friend!

Sending you a rainbow of happiness through this post…

Bye bye

Gooood morninnnnng!

How are you today? Even though it is monday and it is grey and it is raining and it is cold I’m feeling goooood 🙂 Hope you’re feeling the same 😉

This weekend I’ve made the first steps of Love Birds…and I enjoyed it to the max…

little 3 rounds-granny-squares 🙂

the hearts of Love Birds 🙂 I’ve made one with every color of my stash…

You can not imagine the amount of pleasure this new wip blanket is giving me 🙂

and I’ve made some progress on my rainbow ripple too…

I know, I know the colors are too bright…but I’m loving it for this particular reason… A rainbow must have bright colors, don’t you agree? It must brighten up the greyest days of winter !

8 more rows to go and I’ll finish it ! I’ll surely miss rippling with its bright colors… such a soothing effect 🙂

When I’ll finish my rainbow ripple, I want to crochet a cushion like this one. I fell crazy in love with this cute cushion made by the talented Paula! and ever since I’ve kept it in my mind 🙂 She even shared how she made it:here and she crocheted also another gorgeous one! Thank you Paula for this inspiring work!

Go visit Paula, She’s got a lovely blog where she share beautiful handmade cards and gorgeous crochet!

That’s it for today! It was all crochet talking 🙂 Don’t you sometimes feel so grateful because you know how to crochet? 🙂

Isn’t it wonderful that with this small piece that we call : “hook” and  some yarn you can make such beautiful things that make you and your loved ones so happy 🙂 ?

Happy monday to you all!
