Rainbow ripple : It is done!

Bonjouuuuur ๐Ÿ™‚

Today is a perfect day to reveal : My Rainbow ripple blanketย ๐Ÿ™‚ Yes, it is done!

The weather is sooooo bad here, so grey and rainyย that a little colorful post is welcome …a little colorful I said? A little too colorful ๐Ÿ™‚

Prepare your sunglasses my sweeties and let’s jump into a wonderful world of colorful crochet ๐Ÿ™‚ Are you reaaaaaaaaadyyyyy? I bet you are ๐Ÿ™‚

Rainbow ripple is crocheted with a 4.5 crochet hook using Nako Vizon a 100% acrylic yarn.

The colors are used as following: Dark green – Turquoise -Dark blue – Purple – Pink – Red – Orange – Yellow – Light green and then Dark green again etc etc as they come in a rainbow…alternating the number of rows of every color as in Lucyโ€™s rippleโ€ฆ

The crochetย pattern I followed is here ๐Ÿ™‚

Did you noticed my “orchidรฉes”… It will make again flowers very soon ๐Ÿ™‚ yaaaay!

Here it is laying on the floor of my craft room where the light is not very good in winter days…

Here is a close up of the edging:

I’ve made a simple picot edging on the rippling sides only ! Oh how I love picot edgings ๐Ÿ™‚

And here is Rainbow Ripple on the green sofa:

ย

ย

Nowย the girlsย are fighting who’s gonna cuddle under it tonight and every night ๐Ÿ™‚ It is the first time they fight and I am mouth open in a big smiley face ๐Ÿ™‚ Yes, they are fighting for a piece of crochet I made with so much love ๐Ÿ™‚

You can take out your sunglasses now ๐Ÿ˜€ hehe

Have a wonderful day my friend!

Sending you a rainbow of happiness through this post…

Bye bye

Crochet, crochet and more crochet :)

Gooood morninnnnng!

How are you today? Even though it is monday and it is grey and it is raining and it is coldย I’m feeling goooood ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope you’re feeling the same ๐Ÿ˜‰

This weekend I’ve made the first steps of Love Birds…and I enjoyed it to the max…

little 3 rounds-granny-squares ๐Ÿ™‚

the hearts of Love Birds ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve made one with every color of my stash…

You can not imagine the amount of pleasure this new wip blanket is giving me ๐Ÿ™‚

and I’ve made some progress on my rainbow ripple too…

I know, I know the colors are too bright…but I’m loving it for this particular reason… A rainbow must have bright colors, don’t you agree? It must brighten up the greyest days of winter !

ย

8 more rows to go and I’ll finish it ! I’ll surely miss rippling with its bright colors… suchย aย soothing effect ๐Ÿ™‚

When I’ll finish my rainbow ripple, I want to crochet a cushion like this one. I fell crazyย in love with this cute cushion made by the talented Paula! and ever since I’ve kept it in my mind ๐Ÿ™‚ She even shared how she made it:hereย and she crocheted also another gorgeous one! Thank you Paula for this inspiring work!

Go visit Paula, She’s got a lovely blog where she share beautiful handmade cards and gorgeous crochet!

That’s it for today! It was all crochet talking ๐Ÿ™‚ Don’t you sometimes feel so grateful because you know how to crochet? ๐Ÿ™‚

Isn’t it wonderful thatย with this small piece that we call : “hook” andย ย some yarn you can make such beautiful things that make you and your loved ones so happy ๐Ÿ™‚ ?

Rainbow ripple : a colorful update

Hello hello helloooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well….wow…I am so happy that you loved so much little Teddy ! Thank you thank you thank you for your support and sweetness ๐Ÿ™‚ The pattern will stay in the right side bar of this blog if anyone still wants to buy it ๐Ÿ™‚ and if anybody paid and did not know where to download it please e-mail me and I’ll send it right away by mail for you to download!

Today, I want to show you some progress I’ve made to my rainbow ripple…

It is very colorful…I warn you…I MUST WARN YOU ๐Ÿ™‚

So? Are you reaaaaaaaaaaaady?

The yarn I’m working with is Nako Vizon a 100% acrylic yarn crocheted with a 4.5mm crochet hook.

In my basket that I cherish so much ๐Ÿ™‚

I want to tell you sweeties that if you’re looking for a similar basket don’t give up hope… ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’ve been looking for this basket for more than a year, then one day I saw it by mistake in our local church. The priest was sweet enough to give it to me saying that it was too big and too heavy for them and that they needed a smaller one…So, I took it home ๐Ÿ™‚ and my heart was singing of joy ๐Ÿ™‚ I was soooo happy ๐Ÿ™‚ and the next day I took 2 smaller baskets to the church with a very big “thank you” …

This is to tell you that sometimes when you’re looking too hard for something you don’t find it…and then, one day, you find it by mistake in a so inappropriate place for it … that’s life ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope that you enjoyed my rainbow update ๐Ÿ™‚ I feel that when I’m crocheting this blanket my mood changes… I feel happy and relax as soon as I make a couple of stitches… Magical, soothing crochet ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a relaxing and happy day!

Rainbow ripple: A new WIP on the go…

Good morning my friend!

How are you feeling today? I hope that a big smile is illuminating your face in this grey morning ๐Ÿ™‚

Another Monday, another week, another day to love, another day to be thankful for all the joys granted ! Trying to live everyday as if it is my last… (trying, just trying, sometimes it doesn’t work ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

I enjoyed so much my ripples of happiness that once it was done I felt like something was missing in my crochet life… so, I started another ripple … yes another one ๐Ÿ™‚

Although I am still crocheting Myyy vintage blanket (I’m joining the squares of the last 4 rows now) I needed a ripple as second wip…to alternate between the joys every project gives and to not get bored too…

So, I had to…start another ripple…

Let’s show you first the yarn…mmmh…yarn is one of the best things man has ever invented ๐Ÿ˜€ hahahaย  Don’t you agree? ๐Ÿ˜€

I want this time to use the colors of the rainbow as they are…

… pure and bold and in sequence as in a rainbow…

…because nothing is better in a grey and cold day (or night) of winter than to snuggle under a rainbow warm blanket ๐Ÿ™‚

The yarn is (once more) Nako Vizon a 100% acrylic and very soft yarn… (still waiting for their online shop so you can order your nako yarn too wherever you are around this globe ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

I’m following this pattern

choosing the colors as they come in the rainbow…

and alternating the number of rows of every color as in Lucy’s ripple

I’m loving it so far… loving it loving it toooooo much… I even crocheted the pink-red-orange part and it is “light” mmmh a lovely warm kind of “light” but I did not take pics yet (I’ll show you next time)

and did you spot my new basket??? It is the most perfect basket for crochet I’ve ever had so far… It is big enough to hold all the yarn colors I use (sometimes more than 20!) and it can even holds two WIP together ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m in love with it!

Have to go now… I’ve got a very busy day today!

Sending you BIG parcels of love through this post… Catch them ๐Ÿ˜‰

Have a lovely day!

Ripples of happiness :)

Good morning my sweeties,

Such a beautiful monday morning today here in this very small part of the world…The sun is shining and even though it is a little cold I like the bright sunshine fresh beginning of the day ๐Ÿ™‚

As you may already guessed, today’s post is a tadaaaa one and I am soooo thrilled to show you : Ripples of happiness in all its glory ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m in love with this blanket (It is always the case with every project I finish ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). It is so soft to touch so warm and cosy I can not resist wrapping myself in it every single night…

I did not make a proper border for this blanket as I wanted it to stay “curly” from both sides but I made a small edging to the beginning and the end sides and I just loved how it turned out ๐Ÿ™‚

Crochet hook: 4.5 mm

The yarn used is: NAKO Nakolen a 50%wool, 50% acrylic yarn ( and I have a very happy news for you my sweeties: A person e-mailed me from Nako, I asked for you about an online shop and he said that it will be available soon ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ll keep you informed as soon as I know more about it )

Blanket finished size: 120x170cm

You can find the pattern of this ripple here. I’ve made already my Ole Ole blanket using it …

This is my favorite pic (above) mmmm love love love it…

More pics for you to enjoy:

A close up to the edging made with crocheted little “picots”. Even though they are a little hard to crochet “picots” always makes simple but beautiful results …

I’ll leave you now with a last pic and wish you a wonderful and happy week!

Love you all !!
