Stylecraft bloggers tour 2016

By | October 28th, 2016|colors and yarns, stool, stylecraft yarn, Uncategorized|19 Comments

Hello, I am very happy to be part of this year stylecraft special aran and chuncky bloggers tour ?

The colors are just wonderful and when I received them I couldn’t pick  a project to use them. They are fresh, beautiful smooth and soft to touch. I received the chuncky pack ?

Aren’t they gorgeous ?

Now what did I do with them??? Tadaaaa

A cover for a blue wood stool I had at home ?

For the cover I used this simple yet effective pattern that tou can find here ?

Alternating the granny colored rounds with the parchment small sc rounds ?

I loved how it turned out…

The more I was crocheting the more I was in love ❤

There is something magical with the chunky yarn… it is fast ? and it finishes quickly ? and the result is always lovely!

Once you reach the corners of your upper stool face, you continue without increasing in the corners (see the blue round in the above pic) so that the crochet don’t stay flat and take the 3D shape of the stool…

For the last round I chose to make a simple edging with picots ❤ I love picots ❤ They are my favorite for edging ❤

I really enjoyed making this cover… and love how it turned out ❤

Don’t forget to visit the lovely blog of the talented Sandra tomorrow to see what she has done with her pack ?

And for a chance to win yourself a lovely pack of this wonderful Stylecraft yarn please enter the draw here. The draw will open from 10 till midnight ( UK time). The winner will be announced tomorrow here on the blog. Don’t hesitate! There is a chance to win every day a pack on each of the blogs that are taking part of the tour ? So tomorrow you can enter the draw in Sandra’s blog too ?

Thank you Stylecraft for this lovely tour. It was very inspiring seeing all the gorgeous projects  ? and thank you for the gorgeous yarn you keep adding to your beautiful range ?

Thank you lovely friends for visiting today!

I wish you a beautiful weekend!

Hello hello hello!

What shall I show you first today? This post is special as I have to show you two finished projects and they are both lovely 🙂

Ok. First.The pink stool.

I’ve had this wood stool from ages ago but it was in an ugly brown…I painted it pink and decided to make for it a nice crocheted cover…that was in may 2012 if my memory is good … I started it with the Ricco creative cotton… and never blogged about it…

Last week I decided to finish it 😉

Because I was into “stools” and was making the red one for a special order, the pink one had to be done too…

So, here it is: Enjoyyyyyyyyy………………….

Yarn: Rico creative cotton

Hook: 4mm

For the edging I sew this cute pompom trim to the back of the crochet 🙂

I love pompoms 😀

This last pic show the pink color of the wood as it is “live”

And for the second project…

I am sure you already guessed…

It is one more cute cat for my hubby… He chose the colors 😉

Good morning!

I finished the cover for the pink stool but I tried it on a red stool I had at home and it was better. Much better…

Wanna see? Ok

Here is the red stool before:

Very happy with the result I must confess…

red-stool-3

A view from above…pretty colorful granny squares joined together as-I-go …

red-stool-5

I’ve added a trim of green pompom and I love love love it 🙂

red-stool-4

This stool is a special order for a very kind lady… Even though I wished it was mine I am very happy that she loved it 😀 and that it will be cherished in its new home 🙂

red-stool-6

Here is “Mustard” saying goodbye to his friend…

red-stool-7

He was with me during all the steps of the stool’s making 😉

For this stool I used this yarn worked with a 2.5mm crochet hook.

Now I am finishing a second cover with the rico creative cotton. (I began this cover 14 months ago but did not blogged about it) This second cover will be for the pink stool. More about this in a next post 😉

Have to go now…

I hope that you loved the stool…

It is already gone to its new home and I kind of missed it here…

Have a lovely day!

Friday…already???

By | August 2nd, 2013|"done", amigurumi, cat, colors and yarns, Crocheted animals and toys, granny squares, stool, Uncategorized, wips|15 Comments

Hello sweeties,

It is friday already and we are in August. Time really flies and sometimes I just don’t realize how time is passing by so quickly…

I am crocheting a lot these days and that makes me really happy and takes all the stress away 🙂

I told you in a previous post about that special order of a pink wood stool…

pink-stool-wip1

… I’ve began the crochet-granny-squares-cover of it…

pink-stool-wip2

and I am very pleased with how it is turning out 😉

And guess what? I finished my very own amineko. Yes, this guy, this mustard guy is totally mine…

(This mustard color is my favorite of the moment. I used to hate, yes hate this color in the past…now I love it 🙂 )

my-amineko

I love his wide eyes open. He seems very curious about everything just like myself 😀 😀

my-amineko--

I crocheted it with a thinner yarn than the previous ones. So this one is smaller …

two-together

and guess what? Hubby wants one 😀 😀 hahahaha and he already chose the colors 🙂

But he’ll have to wait because I have to finish the stool cover first 😉

amineko

Life is good my friend… Enjoy it… Enjoy every second of it…

Wishing you a wonderful weekend with your loved ones

Thank you for visiting!
