That moment…

In the morning,
when your 3 kids are gone for their summer camps and your hubby is at work,
and you are alone in the quiet house,
just you and yourself,
and all you want to do is sit with your hook and yarn while 1000 things are waiting for you to be done 🙂
Just enjoying the moment…

New beginnings

Hello lovelies,

I feel like summer has begun and with it a lot of fun times ahead 🙂 I love Summer. I love when there is no school. I love when there is no morning runs and afternoon homeworks. I love when the weather is beautiful and the sun is shining 🙂 And the time is flying gently 🙂

This week I started a new project with the beautiful yarn the kind and generous people from Stylecraft sent me.

A ripple blanket made from this pattern. I love this ripple. It is lighter than the original one. I love its simple stitches and the lovely result they give.

I love how it soothes me and calms me and how I can crochet it in front of the T.V.

I am loving the colors too much too 🙂 Aren’t they gorgeous?

The yarn is Stylecraft Life DK.

Well, now I have these four crochet projects I am working on. The 4 of them are blankets. We can never have too many wips, no?

This week also I discovered a new addictive activity and treated myself with a gorgeous book.

A coloring book for adults. I loved this one in particular because I love Folk art. I love their simple naive designs associated with beautiful bold colors. I can’t tell you how much I am hooked. Now you can find me coloring instead of crocheting and that is a shame 🙂

Let me show you some of the gorgeous pages to color…

Aren’t they lovely?

Can’t wait to color them all.

It is completely addictive and I even bought a box of 45 coloring pencils 🙂

I really recommend this book if you love folk art. There are a lot of lovely other themed coloring books you can order from amazon. Just search for ” coloring books for adults ” or ” just add colors ” and you’ll discover a wonderful choice 🙂

I am spending long hours of coloring with my girls (Joe is still too young) and we are all enjoying this new addiction 🙂

Wishing you a colorful day!

Feels like Christmas in July ♥

By | July 3rd, 2015|A month with pics, colors and yarns, Crocheted blankets, Uncategorized, V stitch|8 Comments

Hello hello sweeties,

A very lucky girl is writing to you right now 🙂 You want to know why? Well two days ago I received the most gorgeous pack from the postman. A pack coming straight to me from the U.K. A pack of the most gorgeous yarn arrived to my little country…

A gift of 18 balls of the most wonderful yarn and a keyring and a bag too 🙂 Yes, a gift 🙂 And no need to tell you how much this made me happy. I was happy singing and dancing all day long 🙂

I sent by whatsup the pic above telling hubby and my friends how lucky I was 🙂

This wonderful gift was sent to me by Stylecraft in order to try their yarn. They sent 15 beautiful shades of Life DK (feels like I have chosen the colors myself) and 3 of the latest colors of the Special DK. Oh how I love all these colors 🙂 I love love love them ♥

I can’t wait to start something with them all 🙂 I told you I am a lucky girl 🙂 THANK YOU STYLECRAFT! THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY

Meanwhile, before receiving this lovely gift, I started a Vstitch baby blanket that will go in my Etsy shop.

I chose beautiful shades of pastels. Not at all my “palette” of colors but I feel like having pastels in my life right now ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Aren’t they lovely? So soft and calming colors…

I think that the V stitch is my favorite. It soothes me and calms me and it is perfect for the TV time 😉

I love how this is turning out. And I love how quickly it grows. Never get borred with a V stitch 🙂

Before leaving you, this is my June month 🙂

A lovely colorful month 🙂

Now, I must, MUST, MUST start something with these beauties. Any idea?

Wishing you a lovely weekend!

A V stitch scarf

By | February 6th, 2015|"done", A month with pics, Baking, scarf, Uncategorized, V stitch|13 Comments

Good morning sweet people

January was a very good month…

And I feel that the days are running so fast… we are february 6 already 🙂

The second finished project for 2015 is a Vstitch scarf…

A very fast crocheted scarf (less than one week and it was done) that I am wearing a lot these days and that I cherish…

And a very long scarf too 🙂 (I can turn it twice around my neck)

I love the V stitch… a very therapeutic stitch that you can work on while watching TV… And a very fast stitch too… It works fast and is a real pleasure to crochet …

I used the Nako Vizon aran yarn and a 4.5mm hook… I love the colors…

and what I loved the most is that I did not have ends to hide… I used the ends to make a fringe 🙂

and I love how it finally turned out 🙂

*You can have the Vstich chart HERE

Will bake a cake today and will enjoy the last day before the weekend 🙂

Wishing you a lovely Friday!

P.S: I will come back very soon with MY CROCHET MOOD BLANKET 2014 TADAAAAA POST. Because it is finished, it is gorgeous and it really deserves a post of its own 😉
