A baby girl blanket

Good morning sweeties,

February was a very good productive month for me. I’ve finished two of my wips blankets. My crochet mood blanket (the centered pic in the pic above) and the baby girl V stitch blanket 🙂

2

Today’s post is all about this last one 🙂 A simple stripy V stitch blanket that turned out very pretty 🙂

3

I loved working on it. The happy colors made my heart sings with joy and I loved the soothing calming music of the pattern 🙂

You can find the chart of this stitch right here 🙂

4

I used Nako baby yarn which is a mixture of polyamid and acrylic and it is a very very soft and a pure pleasure yarn to work with. I crocheted it with a 3.5mm hook.

1

For the edging I’ve used the same Vstitch all around the blanket but I’ve made picots instead of the 2ch … (for the picot: I crochet 4chain and 1sc in the firt chain) I love picots… they really make the sweetest edgings 🙂 This blanket will be for the sweet princess due in April…

6

And now I started another Baby blanket for a sweet boy due in March… Yes I am late, I know, but I will do it 🙂

7

Have to leave you now my friend! Wishing you a lovely week 🙂

Love to all!

Old forgotten wips

By | February 27th, 2015|Baking, granny stripes, Hexagons, Mug love, Ripple, Stripes, Uncategorized, wips|21 Comments

Hello!

center;”>A new post today about very old forgotten wips that I decided to work on again and finish.

6

I have a small problem. I often begin a project and leave it aside. And I work on various wips together too. So I have 2 small problems 😉 I have now on my hook 5 different projects (all are blankets). One of them is nearly finished. So 4 wips 🙂

7

When I was reducing the mess in my craft room last week I saw this old ripple blanket I started years ago. I remember leaving it aside when I discovered the joy of working with aran yarn. This ripple is crocheted with a thin DK yarn and a 3.5mm hook and I think that I got bored with the slowliness (Is that a word?:D ) this project was growing… (My english is soooo bad )

8

So I was like OOOOH wooow and decided to work again on it. And aside of this ripple was a granny stripes blankie started in the same period of time and with the same yarn…

9

I decided to give these two second chances (they deserve it, don’t you think?) and try to finish them. Yes, finish them 🙂

10

And finish also the others wips that are on my hook like the hexagons blankie…

2

… I am crocheting with the Debbie bliss yarn. I think that I am taking my time and working on this very slowly to make the pleasure last longer… Cause you know and I already told you that this yarn is a pure pleasure to crochet with…

1

And I’ll have to order more yarn…These are the leftovers…

3

and this is the size of the blanket right now… I surely need more yarn 😉

5

The baby V stitch blanket is done too. It is lovely and deserves a proper post… So next time there will be a tadaaaa post here 🙂 Watch this space 😉

4

I’ll leave you now with this pic of the delicious pineapple cake I’ve baked on Sunday. And wish you a wonderful weekend filled with little pleasures!

See you soon

V stitch stripes (Version2)

By | January 15th, 2015|another V stitch version, Crocheted blankets, for babies, free patterns, Stripes, Uncategorized, wips|56 Comments

Good morning sweet people

I missed you and I missed this little blog of mine. Today I want to share with you the chart of the baby blanket I am actually crocheting. I shared the chart on Instagram and Facebook and totally forgot to post it here 🙂 So sorry my faithful blog followers …

1

This baby blanket is for a little princess due in April… so I choose happy girly colors and a new version of the so-popular V stitch in stripes. Happy stripes… Soothing and calming stripes…

2

The pattern is very easy… based on DC TOG mainly… It grows very fast and it is wonderful and easy to crochet it while doing something else like watching TV or singing with your children …

3

I am really enjoying it specially on the evenings…

You have to try it… you’ll be hooked 😉

4

Wishing you a calm and happy end of week

and hope to be back to you very soon

LOVE
