A hooky update

Good morning sweeties

How are you?

A quick update today… hooky wise πŸ™‚

crochet-mood-blanket-jan1-jan15

My crochet mood blanket 2014… 15 days already (I took these pics yesterday morning)… You can not imagine how much I am enjoying this project…

Sometimes I feel like I am so busy here at home that I don’t have much time for crochet…but I pick my hook on the evening and make my square…and this gives me a lot of pleasure …

I pick a color that reflects my mood of the day even though the color itself don’t reflect “this particular mood” … Am I talking chineese to you? Well… I am sure you understand me πŸ™‚

And I am loving too much this blanket… I am loving how I am slowly crocheting it (it is my very first slow project)… I am lovingΒ the fact thatΒ I don’t crochet more than one square per day even though sometimes I make efforts to do so…

I am loving the first 15 days and their colors… I am loving how when I look at them I remember how I was feeling each day… I don’t know if at the end of the year I’ll still remember but that is ok because it will be a blanket close to my heart…

And I am loving that many of you joined me and are hooking one square per day too…You know something I think about you while crocheting…yes, you, in the other corner of this planet πŸ™‚

And I am alsoΒ loving my poncho in progress…Β  How the black makes the colors pop up πŸ™‚

poncho-in-progress-3

and I am loving my aqua malden filofax and how everything is organised and planned inside its pages… I call it “my brain” and it makes my children laugh πŸ˜€

So a last picture of my brain before leaving you today…

Isn’t it gorgeous? πŸ˜‰

Well… sweeties…

Enjoy the little every day pleasures…

Have a wonderful hooky time…

Stay warm (if it is cold in your part of the world)

and remember that life is beautiful πŸ™‚

Something new on my hook…

Good morning sweeties

This weekend I started something new…Yes I know I have already 4 crochet wips and one knitting but I could not help myself…

Inspired by this wonderful blog and the beautiful ponchos they make, I started a poncho for myself… a big poncho …something like a wearable blanket… Something that will keep me warm and free my hands and feet to move and do things at home… Something I can wear while crocheting in front of the T.V during the cold evenings…

poncho-wip1

And how big was my surprise when I read this morning Lucy’s post and discovered that she started a poncho for herself too πŸ˜€

poncho-wip2

This poncho I am crocheting is made of granny squares and a black border. I am loving too much the black against the other colors…

I started the front and the back separately….and I’ll sew them together once they are done…

poncho-wip3

I am using leftovers from my stash, mostly 100% acrylic nako vizon yarn with a 4.5mm hook…

You can find the graphic pattern of the square here.Β I’ll join the squares as I go and once the front and the back crocheted I’ll sew them together…

poncho-wip4

That’s all my friend! I hope that you like my new wip… Feel free to join me and crochet a happy poncho for yourself! Come on! Let’s crochet along πŸ™‚

Have a wonderful week, stay warm and crochet crochet crochet πŸ™‚

December

There is something I don’t love about December… It is the stress behind this season… The stress sometimes takes out all the beautiful mood you should be feeling in this holy season… I am a “routine” kind of person… I love my every-day and try to just live the moment… Every year I tell myself I should begin early with the Christmas preparations so I don’t stress and stress all my family…

So, this year, I began early …

The house is already on Christmas mode…

The tree is up…

4

The gifts are (almost) ready and packed…

There is good chocolate in every corner…

5

Every single detail is pretty organised in my beloved yellow filofax…

6

I am even finding some time to crochet…

7

and add some squares to the granny blanket which is slowly but surely growing πŸ™‚ (Will it become a bedspread?)

8

I have even picked up an old wip and I’m falling in love with it all over again…

9

So, my friend, this year, I am trying to relax and just enjoy this holy season without stress…

10

And I wish you the same πŸ™‚

Relax, take it easy and have a beautiful warm week filled with joy, laugher and Christmas spirit.

BIG BIG Kisses
