knitting…

Good morning sweet people around the globe!

It is so good to have you here today!

It is been a long time since I last picked up my knittingΒ needles…I missed them and missed their sweet music …

knitting

I started this simple cowl last week… It will become a closed cowl once I’ll sew the beggining row with the last row…something to keep my neck warm in winter…

knitting2

I love the very simple basic stitch in knitting… I think it is the best… (my knitting skills are very basic you know πŸ˜‰ )

I love how the front is different from the back… I prefere the back… I love how the colors melt together on the back…

knitting3

That’s why I started with a 2rows/color and then discovered that when I make 3rows/color I can have that melting sheme on the front too…

But finally I went back knitting 2rows/color… so I can wear it differently on both sides (I hope that this makes sense to you πŸ˜€ )

I hope to finish it one day…

I have to confess something… I never ever started and finished a knitting project…This is a huge but true confession hehehe

I hope that this time will be an exception…

Knitting for me is like having a date with a loving ex when you are happily married… While I knit I enjoy it a lot but always feel like I’m being unfaithful to crochet … and my joy don’t last for too long πŸ™‚

Till now it is lasting and I am enjoying every stitch… hahaha

Come on! Pick your needles and join me! Let’s knit along πŸ˜‰

Have a super week!

Another week…

Good mornng everyone!

Another week had gone by so quickly and I feel like I am such a bad blogger πŸ™ Don’t know what’s happening to me… why am I always so busy…why am I always so tired… that I sleep sometimes around 9:00 pm…

A lot happened in my colorful world this past week…a lot I did not blog about…

1-playroom

A bunting has been added to the playroom… (please look at the bunting and ignore the mess πŸ™‚ )

2-sarah-6-years-old

5-kitchen-crochet-shelves

Oh mum you are THE BEST πŸ™‚ THANK YOUUUUUUUU for these beauties πŸ™‚

6-kitchen-crochet-shelves

This is the kind of crochet I can not simply do… I am not so patient you see πŸ™‚

7-kitchen-crochet-shelves

Crocheting with this thin cotton thread is simply magic and my mother is that kind of fairy πŸ™‚

8-new-bins

Some spotty colorful bins have been added to the kitchen too…

9-I-heart-you-shawl-one-skein

The first 100g of soft blue has been crocheted on the “I heart you” shawl…

10-happy-blankie-squares

55 squares have been almost added to the happy blankie squares (yes almost…the 4th row is still missing for 20 of them πŸ™‚ )

You see a lot happened…

I feel like I am a loving but exhausted mum…

a happy hooker …

but such a bad blogger…

Hope that things will get better on this front soon πŸ˜‰

Wishing you a wonderful week my friend!

55 more…

Just a quick post today to say hello…

I’ve began joining the squares of my happy blankie then I just realized I needed 55 more πŸ™‚ Yeah! 55! It is a very small blanket like it is now so I have to make it bigger and add 5 rows of 11 squares each πŸ™‚

I heart you :)

Hello!

Thank you so much for your great response about the new shawl I’m crocheting at the moment!

It is a pure pleasure to make and I feel like it’s gonna be gorgeous!I-heart-you

This is as promised its diagram…

Sorry if I’m posting just a diagram for this as I don’t know how to explain patterns with words and I know that many of you keep asking me about written patterns…I really should learn how to do this stuff πŸ˜‰ One day…

I-heart-you-diagram

The diagram is made of

– double tr (U.K terms) or tr (U.S terms) ou double brides (French terms)

– dc (U.K) or sc (U.S) ou maille serrees (French)

– chain stitch ou maille en l’air (French)

and you begin it from the bottom of the shawl.

I hope that the diagram is clear for you my friend…

For this shawl, I’m using a super soft yarn called Nako baby. It is a 50%acrylic 50%polyamid yarn and I’m crocheting it with a 3.75mm crochet hook.

I-heart-you-progress

Have to go now…

If you’ll be making this beautiful shawl, please do tell me cause it makes me very very happy to know that you are crocheting along with me πŸ™‚

Kisses from the bottom of my heart!

P.S: I have some sort of spammy stuff on the blog with links everywhere and open windows that leeds you to nowhere…when this happens please try to click on the “to back” button so you can view the post. I’m trying to fix all these problems with hubby asap and asking for your patience… so sorry about that!
