It is all about crochet …

Good morning sweet people around the globe!

It is always so nice to have you here…Thank you all for your wishes on Baby Joe’s birthday ๐Ÿ™‚ Your nice words made my day ๐Ÿ™‚

Today’s post is all about crochet… and I am not feeling super sure about myself anymore…I will explain…

1-grannies

These days I am like a child experimentingย with his new toys… I feel like I just learned how to crochet and I lost my self confidence …

2-2new-wips

I will not say that these will become bedspreads… I will not even say that they will be blankets…neither cushions… I will just enjoy crocheting…just enjoy the stitches I am doing and the making of whatever they will turn into…

3-grannies-with-white-border

I am afraid to make plans…even crochet plans…that’s how I am these days…

I left behind the crazy ripple I was doing…did not like how it is turning out as a bedspread…I tried it on the bed and did not like what I saw…did not feel it…

This is the first time something like that is happening to me: 22 hours of crochet forย nothing…I am so dissapointed…ย Maybe I’ll finish it one day asย  a blanket… and maybe not…

Now I am making these grannies and classic squares that … I hope … will turn into something…

5-yarn

Using my leftover stash…I’ll try to enjoy crocheting…just crocheting…without thinking about the result….

Did you experience something like that before? Did you one day lost your self confidence about your trustful craft? Did you left behind a project you were crazy about and spent on it long hours of crocheting-knitting?

Please share your experience… I would love to hear about it…

A lovely wednesday to all!

Kisses and love

An update ;-)

Good morning!

Yes, I’m still alive… I think that’s how I should start each post from now on …

No…This is such a stupid joke …eh?

We have to laugh about it so we will not cry…That’s how the situation is in my little country Lebanon these days…

Anyhow… A BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG THANK YOU! THANKS TO ALL OF YOU! Each and everyone THANK YOU!

You can not imagine how much each and every comment you wrote on my last post touched me deaply… Some of your words made me cry… And they all made me realize how much this whole blog-friendship is important to me and to my mental health… I am really THANKFUL for your words, your kindness, your prayersย and your love… I wish I could hug you all ๐Ÿ™‚

Today, I am showing you little bits of my creative life…These little wips that are allowing me to remain “normal” and to not become insane every time one of my family member leave home…

So, my lovelies, this is the latest acrylic painting I am working on right now…

My-village

This is my village ๐Ÿ™‚ It is called: Beit Chabeb

The painting is not over yet…I still have to add small details (I just love this last “stage” of a painting… just like edging a crocheted blanket ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) but I thought about showing it to you like a wip…

And …

crazy-ripple-32-rows-1

This is the crazy ripple so far….

32 rows …that means 16 hours of crochet…wowwww ๐Ÿ™‚

Do you love the colors?

crazy-ripple-zoom-in

Iย adore them ๐Ÿ™‚ I love how they melt together…

crazy-ripple-zoom-in-2

That’s all I have for today my friends!

Have to leave you now…and I hope to be back to you very very soon…

Until then take good care of yourself…

and THANK YOU once again for just being here… Your presence is all that matters ๐Ÿ™‚

Hug and love

Crochet in the sun

My country is slowly drowning in the blood and all I can do is crochet in the sun to take the negative thoughts and the stress away…
I feel like a small ant in a big black world unable to protect my beloved ones…
All I can do is pray… Pray for better days… Pray for my little country… Pray for peace and love…
Please join me in my prayers….
Thank you from the bottom of my heart…
And sorry for this “unhappy” post…

The beginning of a crazy project

Good morning!

How are you? How was your weekend? Still in holiday mode Like myself? We are having now some really hot days but this did not stop me from beginning a very big crazy project – blanket which will become a bedspread ๐Ÿ™‚

A crazy ripple blanket which (I hope so) will become a bedspread for one of the girl’s bed…

If you are a follower of my facebook page you already saw this pic above ๐Ÿ™‚

I started this project with a thinner yarn than my usual Nako one. It is Mirage a 100% acrylic yarn which I crochet with a 3.5mm hook…

yarn

I really want to get rid of my old stash of this yarn so I can buy some new colours in october…

So I began this ripple…a very big one…each row with a different colour…

The pattern is here if you wish to make one too ๐Ÿ˜‰

crazy-ripple-wip2

Each row is taking me half an hour to finish and I am a really fast crocheter ๐Ÿ˜‰

So 30 minutes for only a row ๐Ÿ™‚ That’s why I’m calling it crazy ripple because it will make me crazy at the end I know…but I can’t help myself and I am totally addicted right now ๐Ÿ˜€

crazy-ripple-wip1

I am loving so much the colors…

and I know that when it will become bigger it will be winter and cold days here and it will be the perfect project to crochet on cold evenings ๐Ÿ™‚ (Can’t wait!)

So, my lovelies, that was the beginning of the crazy ripple project I started on August8…

Now I’ve added some more rows… and I can exactly tell how many hours I crocheted already ๐Ÿ™‚ hahaha

Of course, I will have to crochet another bedspread for the second bed of my girl’s bedroom…another one with the same colors…

I will think about that second one later ๐Ÿ™‚ One crazy project at a time ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m wishing you now a crazy happy week!

Stay cool and happy!

Kisses

Friday…already???

Hello sweeties,

It is friday already and we are in August. Time really flies and sometimes I just don’t realize how time is passing by so quickly…

I am crocheting a lot these days and that makes me really happy and takes all the stress away ๐Ÿ™‚

I told you in a previous post about that special order of a pink wood stool…

pink-stool-wip1

… I’ve began the crochet-granny-squares-cover of it…

pink-stool-wip2

and I am very pleased with how it is turning out ๐Ÿ˜‰

And guess what? I finished my very own amineko. Yes, this guy, this mustard guy is totally mine…

(This mustard color is my favorite of the moment. I used to hate, yes hate this color in the past…now I love it ๐Ÿ™‚ )

my-amineko

I love his wide eyes open. He seems very curious about everything just like myself ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

my-amineko--

I crocheted it with a thinner yarn than the previous ones. So this one is smaller …

two-together

and guess what? Hubby wants one ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ hahahaha and he already chose the colors ๐Ÿ™‚

But he’ll have to wait because I have to finish the stool cover first ๐Ÿ˜‰

amineko

Life is good my friend… Enjoy it… Enjoy every second of it…

Wishing you a wonderful weekend with your loved ones

Thank you for visiting!
