Good morning ladies,
Hope you are enjoying your morning with a hot cup of coffee like myself π
Yesterday I bought some new yarn to add to my old stash
7 new colors and a lot of leftovers…
This 100% acrylic yarn is much thinner than the old one…It has to be crocheted with a 3mm hook… and I love how a normal 4 rounds granny square looks much smaller in this kind of yarn!
I have now two projects I am working on: The first one is a granny blanket for a friend who’s giving birth in July …
The second one is “love at first sight” and I am thinking about offering it as a wedding gift for another friend who’s getting married in July also :):)
But but but …
I could not resist trying out the new yarn π
Who could resist ???
and I made some squares using the same pattern as my fairy tale blanket! (I just love this pattern!!!)…but this time the colors looks a little “vintage” and I joined with the “off-white-beige” color…so it is looking like a vintage blanket and this is how I decided to name it π
The squares are very soft and a lot smaller and I love them …The colors are not so bright (as for my other projects) and I am thrilled to try out working with them too …
So “Vintage blanket ” is going to be my third wip …
but I should really really finish the granny one (one more row of squares ans a border) and show it to you …It is looking very nice you’ll see π
Time to go now…
Thank you for visiting!
Big big kisses!
Sucrette

Oh, this looks wonderful! Are you using Nako yarn again? I just love this Turkish yarn and just visited the store in Istanbul (heaven!). Now if only I could find a webshop that sells it π

Hello!
Thank you for visiting my blog!
You can find the Han (area) of fabric and yarn traders near the Gran Bazar, it’s called Kurcu Han. I’ve featured in on my blog:

You’re gonna love it π You can’t miss the Nako store, there are HUGE signs.
But now I’m panicking (hehe) as I can’t seem to find a store in NL nor UK that sells it!!
Have fun in Istanbul. It’s so pretty!
