Dear Angie,

Many Greetings and have a funny Weekend,

Yes, of course you can ๐ I count you in ๐ Welcome to the club!
OhAngelina, I think trebles are US doubles. If not i’m doing it wrong ๐ Ummmm, when you say ‘colorful’ can colorful mean lots of different yarn types (eyelash, fluffy, sparkly) of two main colors?? (silver and teal) ๐ If not i’m back to my color disaster and decidly unglam granny ๐ oh no, I’m a granny cheat!!
hehe ๐ yes colorful can mean also : lots of different yarn types (eyelash, fluffy, sparkly) of two main colors ๐

thanks guys. i was wondering,…cause my edges are starting to ruffle upwards, not really laying flat. i am doing treble stitches with two chain in between the corner ones. and just one chain between the regular middle ones. i’m just so over the moon i was able to do my first little granny square !!!! its very empowering ! xxxx
Ooh it’s lovely when everyone joins in isn’t it!? I have to say that I won’t be participating, but I will be enjoying every moment of everyone else’s journey with their giant granny squares. I simply have too much that I am already doing, I must finish those before I start anything else.
xXx Helen
Hi Angie,
Thank you for your sweet wish :-).
I decided to begin with the challenge! I couldn’t wait to start something new. I only want three rows for my babyblanket and a border (maybe you have a nice suggestion?) so I think I can make it. My duedate is july 31 so I should still have some time..
How wonderful it is that some many people are joining! Really great!
I posted my first picture on Flickr!
Love, Charlotte

Hello
This looks like fun, I’d love to join in but I don’t think I have time. My tip is that when I do granny squares I don’t like the way they sort of spiral, and it is much more noticeable on a giant granny, so instead of always having the same side facing me as the ‘front’ I alternate from one side to the other on each round: that way your squares don’t twist and spiral, and the finished blanket is reversible too!
Sherry
ahh. i like ! so when you say spiral, is the same as me saying ruffle? you mean..not laying flat? good tip missy ! x
Hello, oh how much fun, thank you for such a wonderful crochet along idea. I definitely want to join in…and just need a simple project to do right now, I love the vintage charm this will add to my home, I’m going to get my hook asap. ๐
I recently finished a blanket that had about 40 rounds and a simple US double edging for my baby cousin. Two rows each colour, very nice!
Granny squares are brilliant! I’ve just finished a big one!
