Poncho’s progress

Good morning lovelies,

Hope you’ve had a great weekend!

Today, I want to show you the progress I’ve made to my poncho so far…

Actually I am not working on it as much as I should…making one round every 3 or 4 days… I am in another kind of planet right now ๐Ÿ˜‰

But it is growing …very slow…but growing…

25 rounds so far…

To read more about the poncho’s cal, go HERE! You’re still welcome to join if you didn’t yet ๐Ÿ™‚

More progress on the joyful ripple and a new finished painting coming soon ๐Ÿ˜‰

Stay tuned and have a wonderful week!

The joyful ripple

Good morning sweeties,

How are you?

As you guessed from the title of this post, I’ve began a ripple blanket for my baby…Yes, babies do need blankets, don’t they? and I’m ready to make some for the little one I’m expecting…The first blanket will be a ripple…We’ll see for the others ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m loving this ripple more than anything I’ve made before (but this is always the case for every project) and I’m loving working on it…

Let’s see some pics…

Do you remember the yarn I’ve shown you HERE?

Well…this is it ๐Ÿ™‚ The yarn is called Mirage. It is a 100% acrylic yarn…very soft and a pure pleasure to work with…The yarn is thin (crocheted with a 3mm crochet hook) and perfect for babies stuff…

This kind of thin yarn is kind of new to me as I’m used now to work with my nako and a 4.5mm hook…but it is ok…and I have difficultiesย putting downย my joyful ripple to work on other projects ๐Ÿ™‚ I am now totally addicted to it!

The colors are bold and bright. I love these colors for babies and I prefere them to the pastels ones… don’t know why…I don’t like to use a light blue for boys and a light pink for girls…I love bright and sunshiny colors for both ๐Ÿ™‚ perfectย against the mother’s baby blues ๐Ÿ˜‰

I don’t know yet if I’m expecting a boy or a girl but this kind of colorful project is good for both…

The pattern I’m using is very simple and soooo soothing and relaxing to work on…I think it is my favorite pattern.

You can find it HERE!ย

I’ve began with a 180 chain (16×11 +4). Your beginning chain must be a multiple of 11 + 4 in this pattern…

I’ve made more and more progress since I took these pics…and it is turing out very nice I must confess…will show youย very soon ๐Ÿ™‚

Have to go now… I’m taking the girls today to the hairdresser for a spring cut ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you so much for your visit,

Have a beautiful day!

Colorful daisies

Good morning and Happy Easter to you all!

I hope you’ve had a great Easter with a lot of sweets and chocolates. I’m still digesting all the not-so-healthy-food I’ve eaten during this week end…uuuuuf … too much is too much ๐Ÿ™‚

Today, I want to show you my latest painting: Colorful daisies:

It is an acrylic on canvas with fresh and bright colors…

I hope you like it!

The girls are still at home for Easter vacations until next tuesday…I’m doing fine and the baby too ๐Ÿ™‚ I don’t know yet if it will be a boy or a girl…will let you know for sure ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’ve began something for him (or her), will show you next time ๐Ÿ™‚

Before leaving today, I want to thankย Barbara from “Made in K-town”ย for the Liebster blog award she gave me HERE! Thank you so much Barbara, I’m very happy to receive this award from you ๐Ÿ™‚

Cross stitch

Hellooooooooooo!

It’s been a huge pleasure for me to read all your wonderful comments, wishes and prayers ๐Ÿ™‚ I felt really blessed and lucky to have you all ๐Ÿ™‚ THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart ๐Ÿ™‚

Today, I’ll show you the cross stitch I made between 2004 and 2007. At that time, I knew how to crochet but did not like it at all ๐Ÿ˜‰ In fact, I used to look at my mother and grand mother crocheting and think: “how can they love to crochet like mad women ?” and they used to tell me : “one day, you’ll giveย up the cross stitch for the crochet, you’ll see!” and me: ” No WAY!! ” ๐Ÿ™‚ and then, one day, in 2008, I came across the fabulous blog of Lucy and felt in love ๐Ÿ™‚ It was like an “illumination” for me. I think it is this way for many of us ๐Ÿ™‚ and from that day, I am totally hooked ๐Ÿ™‚

About the cross stitch, I ‘ll show you today the frames left in my house…I’ve made so much more … they are in friends houses, some in my family’s, some I even sold at exhibitions…

Here are the ones left in my house:

In the hall way between the rooms:

In the girls sleeping room:

This one (in the pic above) took me many monthsย ๐Ÿ™‚ I still can’t believe when I look at it how I was patient at that time ๐Ÿ™‚

In the girls playing room:

In the entrance :

and finally, in our room:

I took all these designs from magazines I borrowed from friends and from our local library except the last one: the one with the hearts: Iย created the design myself ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you enjoyed this little peek into my cross stitch frames ๐Ÿ™‚

Sending you LOVE and KISSES!

On a monday morning…

Good sunny morning to you all!

I hope that the sun is shining today in your part of the world ๐Ÿ™‚

Today, a lot to share with you…

Progress on 3 wips and a good news…

Let’s begin with the wips shall we?

A new painting…I’m loving so far…

More slow progress on my Love Birds bed blanket….

Some squares were 100%done, some needs the last blue round and some are still babies…

but I’m happily working on it ๐Ÿ™‚

and more progress on my poncho too : 19 rounds so far ๐Ÿ˜‰

and finally the good news is: Yes, I’m expecting (you already guessed ๐Ÿ˜€ …but chuuuut I’m still afraid to tell ๐Ÿ™‚

I am now in the last days of my third month but I still have that fear … I think it will never goes away… but my heart sings with joy when I think about the little baby growing inside of me ๐Ÿ™‚

and yes, I’m gonna spoil him (or her) with a lot A LOT of crochet ๐Ÿ™‚ For my first two babies (in 2005 and 2007), I did not crochet at the time, so my mother made for them crocheted blankets and I was making cross stitch for their rooms…but now…OH MY…I’m gonna make blankets, hats, socks, amigurumi toys, little sweaters… everything I can make with my hook ๐Ÿ˜‰ I can not wait to STAAAAAAAAAART ๐Ÿ™‚ crazy mom!

That’s all my sweet friends ! I am today very happy and calm! I hope you’re feeling the same!

THANK YOU so much as always for your support and your kind comments … I am so lucky to have you all ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a wonderful week!
