Easter bunny egg!

Good morning sweet people!

Do you remember my new variegated yarn I showed you in this post? (yes, now I know how to name it 🙂 ) Well, as Easter is not so far anymore, I’ve been playing with some and a hook and made this:

An Easter bunny egg 🙂 and I loved his cute little face and the fact that he is an egg-bunny…

My youngest daughter Sarah loved it too and asked for a second one…a little friend for this first one as she said…and I couldn’t resist…

Here they are together…They will be very cute between the decorated eggs of Easter 🙂

This little bunny egg is very easy to crochet. It is a fast project (maybe one hour or a little more)… and children will love it!

I took step by step pictures and I’m preparing right now a pattern for you my lovely friends to enjoy 🙂

I will post the pattern here (maybe tomorrow):) So, prepare a little colorful yarn and a hook and wait for meeeeeeeeeeee 🙂

I’ll be back very soon…

Bye bye now…

Have a nice day!

P.S: I’m thinking about holding a new cal next week…a fun and very happy cal…what do you think? It is a spoil yourself kind of project with a very easy to follow pattern… We’ll be making a ……. (suspense) 😀 More about the new crochet-a-long next week…I am SOOOO THRILLED ABOUT THIS NEW PROJECT!!!

Making a house your home…

Good morning lovely people,

As promised yesterday, today I’m gonna show you some pages from this delicious book: Making a house your home by Clare Nolan.

I’m so sorry about yesterday evening post, as you received an e-mail and you couldn’t open the link…It was my mistake…I clicked on the “publish” button instead of the “save as draft” one…and you imagine what happened next…a post that was a small draft part from this one was sent as an e-mail to my susbscribers and I stressed as crazy…deleted the post …but the e-mail was gone and I was like: OH MY GOD OH MY GOD !! for maybe an hour…don’t know what I should do…as nothing could be done :)

So, this is the original post today…and there was no link to open yesterday night…so sorry again for that…

I’m gonna show you here some of the pages inside the book …plus parts of the comments-reviews I read about the book and found useful. Because I have some difficulties expressing myself in English I choose to copy-paste reviews that was like me writing…

“This book is very unusual in that it isn’t about a famous interior designer’s
signature look, and doesn’t only feature the homes of the plainly loaded.
There’s no encouragement to knock down walls, build ambitious new extensions, or
call in professionals. As the title suggests, the emphasis is on styling:
working with wallpapers and paints, furniture, fabrics and possessions to
decorate, organise and personalise your own house.”

“The lovely pictures aren’t the only attraction. I have literally hundreds of
interiors books and magazines, and the text of this one is easily amongst the
most useful. Nolan gives her professional guidance on topics such as zoning,
colour shading, and sightlines, and good practical advice on everything from
floral arrangement frogs to buying mattresses and getting rid of pet smells.
There are clear ‘how to’ instructions, and many of the rooms are deconstructed
to show just how and why they work. Most design books are quickly forgotten, but
this one was an excellent buy and I can see myself referring back to it often.”

“Brought this for my daughter, but found myself hooked to the book. Lovley
phots’s, great ideas, and certainly something that inspires you to put into
practice. Lots of guidance and tips, If you love your home, your love this book. ”

So, my lovelies, I can tell you one thing about this book: It is that I felt in love with it the moment I opened it…It is my style: flea markets, the Anthropologie stores, the ‘Domino’ magazine compilation book and Holly Becker’s Decor 8 blog style…the pics are beautiful…the text very useful…and I just highly recommend it 🙂

So, if you wish to purchase online this book, here are for you the amazon U.K and the amazon U.S links. Don’t know why it is much cheaper through amazon U.K …

Have a lovely day!

P.S: I’m working on something “easter” today…Will show it to you as soon as it is done 🙂

A monday morning…

Good morning my sweeties,
How are you feeling today? How was your weekend?
Here, the weather was perfectly springy this weekend and the children played outside … it was a perfect weekend with sunshine and even birds singing…
This morning, the gray weather came back again and after the girls go to school I took some pics of the garden… a garden a little sad without sunshine and the children’s laughter …

I live near my parent’s house and we have the garden between the two houses…

So, from our terrace, the girls can call Geddo and Setto 🙂 (It is how we call the grandparents here in Lebanon)

I’ve made some progress with my baby blanket this weekend…

I’ve already crocheted all the circles and I still have to join two rows of squares and make a cute edging…

So, my sweeties, a tadaaaa post is coming soon 😉

Also, next time, I’ll open for you this lovely book (in the pic above) so you can take a peek to its beautiful pics…Believe me, it is a DELICIOUS book 🙂

So, stay tuned 😉

and have a marvellous monday!

P.S: About the Nako yarn, I know that many of you would love to try out this yarn and order some online, I’m trying as hard as I can to make that happen, I’ll tell you more about it if it works…(crossing my fingers)!!

A perfect shopping day…

Good morning sweet people around the globe,

Two days ago I received a phone call from my favorite yarn shop…The lovely lady there told me with her innocent voice: “We’ve got some new yarn with beautiful colors if you want to see ..come take a look” and you imagine my reaction…New yarn? mmmh….do I need new yarn? Didn’t I have enough? Should I go there? etc etc…but I couldn’t resist the temptation….I will go…I said to myself…I will go and I will only take a look…a smell and a touch 😀 and I WILL NOT BUY ANY!!

Hehe what a lie! Me …entering a yarn shop and leaving without any bag in my hands…hehe

So, as you guessed, I brought back home some new yarn…and I could’nt wait to show you….

First, I’ve got 10 Mirage yarn…

Mirage is a lovely 100% acrylic yarn thinner than the Nako Vizon one…It is worked with a 3mm crochet hook but I love its softness…a pure pleasure to work with…

and the colors are beautiful, don’t you think?

Then I’ve brought back also two “Nako Lollipop”

I don’t know why I bought them …I don’t usually love to work with a mixed-colored yarn (I can not find the name of that kind of yarn…sorry…) but I loved the colors and I said why not?…I can’t wait to try them…

and…to save the best for the last…

Something new in the Nako family…something called: Superlambs special …with stunning colors…I couldn’t resist…When I saw them I fall totally in love with their color choice…

They are a mixture 50%wool 50%acrylic worked with a 5mm crochet hook…

and I can tell you something …believe me or not…the colors are much more beautiful “live” than in the pics…

Bold but not too bright…just my kind of colors…

And I can not resist starting something with them…even though I have two wips on the go….could I resist? I don’t think so…

Have a colorful day my friend

and see you very soon 😉

P.S: Thank you so much for your marvellous response concerning Miss T. the turtle, I am more than happy that you loved her that much 🙂 THANK YOU!

Hello! Good morning sweeties!

Yes, I was making her feets in my previous post…you could have never guessed eh?  🙂

Isn’t she cute?

I love this next dark pic…a lot 😀

I am so happy with my little cutie creation 🙂 When I was crocheting her, I was uncertain about the result…and I was hoping something cute will come out from these little pieces I was making….and sewing together…

but now, I am in love 🙂 and the girls too 🙂

and very proud to show it to you today 🙂

I took a million of step by step pics while creating Miss T. … and I’m off now to prepare a pattern 🙂

Here, it is snowing today, everything is white and the girls are at home (no school) pretty excited 🙂 , so we’re staying indoor in front of the mantel’s fire 🙂 a perfect day !
