Baby granny blanket

Hello sweeties!

How’s everything? Hope all is great for you! I am now in my 24th week of pregnancy and I’m feeling good so far…the baby is kicking me a lot and I must confess that this is one of the best things I just love about being pregnant 🙂

Last week, I started a new blanket for him! This is his second one. The first was the joyful ripple if you still remember!

Well, this second blanket will be a granny one for the coldest days of winter as I’m crocheting it with the Nako Vizon yarn and a 4.5mm crochet hook…Wanna see some pics?

First I chose some colors…9 bright and lovely colors for the first two rounds of each granny…

and two colors for round3 and 4 of each square…A lovely light blue with a beautiful brown …

and then I started some grannies just to try out the result of this combination-idea I had on my mind for weeks 😉

and I made 9 colorful 2 rounds-squares … and then I crocheted the third round in light blue…

then I added a 4th round in brown…

I’m joining the squares with this 4th round using the join-as-I-go method…

I just love how this turned out 🙂 what do you think?

I love these blue and brown colors surrounding the others 🙂

There is something about granny squares that make me want to crochet all day long …I just can’t resist them 🙂

I’m using the very classic pattern for these squares. You can find it here!

So, sweeties, I hope you like the beginning of my new wip!

Thank you so much for visiting today and thanks to all of you who voted for Le monde de Sucrette on the 2012 Blue ribbon Blogger awards of Country Living….Even thought I can not win and I just discovered this due to the lovely Denise who left for me a comment saying that this competition was for the residents of the U.S only 🙁 I feel a little dissapointed and a little sad because I let you vote for a comptetion I could not win…so sorry my friend 🙁 I did not knew 🙁

Concerning the baby set pattern: I did not finish it yet…sorry again…cause this weekend I could not find time for it … I promise that it will be ready at the end of this week 🙂

Have a lovely day wherever you are…I’m sending a lot of hugs and kisses your way!

A peek into my room

Good morning my friend!

How’s everything today? Is the sun shining on your part of the world? I hope it is…even if it is only in your heart 🙂

I’m still working on the baby set pattern…It is a little time consuming for me as I’m making it with full details so it will be for you a piece of cake to make 😉 Sorry….for making you wait a little 🙂

Today, a little peek into my room…

to show you the poster brought from Barcelona that I framed …

Is it looking nice below the “hearts”one and above the bed, don’t you think?

I simply love it. My biggest daughter Christina told me it is ugly because the girl has BIG BIG eyes 😀 It made me laugh! I love children words… so pure and innocent 🙂

and this is our “summer” bed spread. In summer I take out the crocheted one and put this one 🙂 It is a handmade Turkish bedspread I brought with me from our honeymoon 8 years ago 🙂

still looking good and still making my heart sings with joy as it reminds me such wonderful and cherished memories 🙂

Before I go today I want to thank Faith Fentress as she nominated my blog for the 2012 Contry Living Blue ribbon Blogger award . Thank you so much Faith!

Please if you have a moment, I will be very happy if you nominate Le monde de Sucrette for this award…You can do it here:

THANK YOU!

I wish you an excellent weekend full of good things!

Rainbow baby set

Good morning sweeties!

How are you today? My rainbow baby set is finished and I couldn’t wait no more to show you 🙂 I love this tiny set….I think it is not for a new born baby…It is for a 3-6 months old one and will be perfect for mine as here in Lebanon, the weather is not so cold before January-February (the 2 coldest months of the year)

So? Wanna see? Of course you want…

Mmmmmh 🙂 What do you think?

I’m in love 🙂

with the colors…

and the little buttons…

I’m specially in love with the boots …

Aren’t they cute??? I am very pleased with the little modifications I made for the boots…

I think they are cuter now 😉

I’m preparing right now a pattern for both the little vest and the boots.

The pattern will be fully explained in both English and Frensh with step by step pictures and some graphics too 🙂 It will be available very soon in my “for-sale” patterns!

That’s all my friends! I hope you liked this little baby set 🙂

I wish you a rainbowy day and will see you very very soon 😉

Something new on my hook

Good morning sweeties!

What a beautiful morning to spend with you today sharing my latest crochet news 🙂

I finished some “things” for number3 I want to show you today! Tadaaaaaaaaaaaa

A sleevless jacket (or a cardigan? that’s what translator is telling me to write but I’m not sure if it is correct) and some baby boots. It is not my kind of colors, but as a first trial, I like to crochet with a plain color to try out the pattern and when it is ok, I’ll make colorful ones 😉

The cardigan is not so bad for a first attempt I must confess…but there is some changes I have to do for a better second one 😉

I love to make cardigans for babies as I think they are very practical to wear on the babies pyjamas…specially if they are sleeveless… I hate when I’m putting a sweater to my baby and I have to count how many little fingers are still left inside…I’m sure you’re understanding what I mean 🙂 So sleevless vests are the best kind of winter clothing for babies…that’s why I will make some more …

and baby boots 🙂 These also are a first attempt and I must confess that I spend a whole day crocheting and then unravelling and then crocheting again and again with sometimes feeling a little discouraged…etc etc but I kept on going …

and finally, I confess, that I don’t love them as much as I should…I have now more modifications I shall add to make them cuter 🙂 Willshow you better little baby boots very very soon 😉 I promise!

The yarn I’m using is called Nako Baby. A mixture of 50% acrylic and 50% polyamid worked with a 3mm crochet hook! It is a super super soft yarn, perfect for babies stuff and it is similar as thikness as the sylecraft special DK…

And concerning this cute owl 🙂 OHHH I fall in love with it and could not resist buying it for my baby 🙂

This is the first thing I bought for him and I love it 🙂 It is from a frensh brand (I think) called: Latitude

I enjoyed very very much crocheting these little “thingies” for my baby…and could not help myself beginning a second attempt (crossing my fingers for a better result this time)

with rainbow colors 🙂 better don’t you think?

Have to go now! Don’t forget! The giveaway is still running until monday  on this post, so it you did not left a comment you can still do iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!

Thank you so much for visiting and for your kind words concerning my tummy 😉 My due date is between September1 n October 1…I give birth by Cesarian and For my first two it was early C-sctions (at the very beginning of month9 for my oldest Christina and on the second week of month9 for Sarah my number2) so I’m expecting it to be between sep7 and sep21 for number 3 if everything goes well 🙂

Have a wonderful weekend!
