Bad days :(

We’ve been through some very bad days here at home 🙁 We are all sick now fighting an awful virus 🙁 It all started with christina on Saturday morning…then baby Joe…then Sarah…then it was my turn and today it is my hubby’s turn 🙁 You can not imagine how hard it is to take care of three sick little children when you are very sick too…a high fever that nothing brings down… I’ve never been through something so awful in my life…Today, Christina and Joe are a little better…SO there is hope for all of us to get through this…

I’ll have to postpone the giveaway for one more week… I am so happy to have more than 300 comments right now…IT was a real pleasure reading them during these bad days…SO, my lovelies, I’ll pick up two names on Friday March the first…SO, if you did not yet, you still have more than one week to leave a comment on this post and have a chance to win one of the two gifts…

Before and after, Corners of my home

The rocking chair: before and after :)

Gooooood morning my friend!

I am super duper happy today to show you the rocking chair and its before and after…

I know that many of you suggested that I leave it in its original color … sorry 🙁 I couldn’t …as I did not like at all its sad grey color… I had to transform it so every time I look at it I have a smiley idiot face 🙂 hahaha

I loved every suggestion you left for me… and after the original post I was a little bit confused between all these wonderful ideas: red, yellow, beige, blue, green, orange woooow! Wish I could have it in a different color each day…but I had to make a choice and here it was…

Yes, a blue lavender…the pics don’t show the color as it is “live”…The real color is a little bit more “purple” if you see what I mean…

I am really really really so in love with my rocking chair as I keep changing the blanket and the pillow on it… and looking at it and smiling 🙂 yes, that idiot smile 😉

On a friday morning

So good to be here today with you …

I’ve been playing with these wonderful colors and preparing something very cute to share with you…

It is taking longer to finish than I thought it would…

but I’m loving every step of it and hope that I’ll be able to show it to you next week…

Fall in love…

Gooooood morniiiiiiing 🙂

Let me begin this happy week by presenting you “fall” in love in all its glory. Yes, it is done and I am very satisified with how it turned out…

I simply fall in love with “fall” in love 🙂

I began this blanket at the beginning of this year…You can read its first post here. This blanket was made as a gift for my lovely cousin Nathalie known as Nato 🙂 And this is, I think, my fastest blanket…one little month and it was done 🙂

The blanket is a very good size couch blanket and it is crocheted with a 4mm crochet hook and the wonderful Nako Vizon a 100% acrylic yarn…

You can find the pattern of the squares here…They are simple classic squares joined as-I-go using the wonderful pattern of Lucy that you can read all about here…

As for the edging, I made a very simple one: 2 rounds of “arcade” (1sc, 3ch, 1sc) all around the blanket and a last round made of 2sc, 3ch, 2sc in every “arcade”…so I don’t know if it is called “picot” or no…it is just 2sc,3ch,2sc in each “arcade” and I really don’t know how I did to make them look so pointy 😉

I really really enjoyed crocheting this blanket…

And those warm colors are so my kind of color’s “pallette”

Nato and Bachir…I hope that you’ll enjoy this blanket, that it will keeps you warm and cosy during the cold days of winter… and that it will be a part of your loving home during the coming years of your life together 🙂
