C and S

Helloooooo!

Do you remember the cushions I started in this post here? Well… They are done now and I can’t wait to show them to you…

I must confess…they were a pain in the a… to make… Those tiny squares are not so enjoyable (can we say that in english? πŸ˜‰ )Β to crochet…And I was like: when will my torture stop? πŸ˜€

But I like the result…

Here they are… tadaaaaaa

1-S

First you have the “S” for my youngest daughter Sarah … Here is a close up to my torture πŸ™‚

2-S

Tiny one-round squares joined as I go following a cross stitch diagram πŸ˜‰

And here is the second one “C” for my daughter Christina

Here they are on their beds…6-CandS

Do you like them? I love them and the girls too…But I will not make anymore one of these (sorry baby Joe…I will make another kind of personalised cushion for your room…I promise…)

Before I go … a last pic of the shelves in the girls room… because I managed to clean and tidy the mess on these this week…

An update ;-)

Good morning!

Yes, I’m still alive… I think that’s how I should start each post from now on …

No…This is such a stupid joke …eh?

We have to laugh about it so we will not cry…That’s how the situation is in my little country Lebanon these days…

Anyhow… A BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG THANK YOU! THANKS TO ALL OF YOU! Each and everyone THANK YOU!

You can not imagine how much each and every comment you wrote on my last post touched me deaply… Some of your words made me cry… And they all made me realize how much this whole blog-friendship is important to me and to my mental health… I am really THANKFUL for your words, your kindness, your prayersΒ and your love… I wish I could hug you all πŸ™‚

Today, I am showing you little bits of my creative life…These little wips that are allowing me to remain “normal” and to not become insane every time one of my family member leave home…

So, my lovelies, this is the latest acrylic painting I am working on right now…

My-village

This is my village πŸ™‚ It is called: Beit Chabeb

The painting is not over yet…I still have to add small details (I just love this last “stage” of a painting… just like edging a crocheted blanket πŸ˜‰ ) but I thought about showing it to you like a wip…

And …

crazy-ripple-32-rows-1

This is the crazy ripple so far….

32 rows …that means 16 hours of crochet…wowwww πŸ™‚

Do you love the colors?

crazy-ripple-zoom-in

IΒ adore them πŸ™‚ I love how they melt together…

crazy-ripple-zoom-in-2

That’s all I have for today my friends!

Have to leave you now…and I hope to be back to you very very soon…

Until then take good care of yourself…

and THANK YOU once again for just being here… Your presence is all that matters πŸ™‚

Crochet in the sun

My country is slowly drowning in the blood and all I can do is crochet in the sun to take the negative thoughts and the stress away…
I feel like a small ant in a big black world unable to protect my beloved ones…
All I can do is pray… Pray for better days… Pray for my little country… Pray for peace and love…
Please join me in my prayers….
Thank you from the bottom of my heart…
And sorry for this “unhappy” post…

The beginning of a crazy project

Good morning!

How are you? How was your weekend? Still in holiday mode Like myself? We are having now some really hot days but this did not stop me from beginning a very big crazy project – blanket which will become a bedspread πŸ™‚

A crazy ripple blanket which (I hope so) will become a bedspread for one of the girl’s bed…

If you are a follower of my facebook page you already saw this pic above πŸ™‚

I started this project with a thinner yarn than my usual Nako one. It is Mirage a 100% acrylic yarn which I crochet with a 3.5mm hook…

yarn

I really want to get rid of my old stash of this yarn so I can buy some new colours in october…

So I began this ripple…a very big one…each row with a different colour…

The pattern is here if you wish to make one too πŸ˜‰

crazy-ripple-wip2

Each row is taking me half an hour to finish and I am a really fast crocheter πŸ˜‰

So 30 minutes for only a row πŸ™‚ That’s why I’m calling it crazy ripple because it will make me crazy at the end I know…but I can’t help myself and I am totally addicted right now πŸ˜€

crazy-ripple-wip1

I am loving so much the colors…

and I know that when it will become bigger it will be winter and cold days here and it will be the perfect project to crochet on cold evenings πŸ™‚ (Can’t wait!)

So, my lovelies, that was the beginning of the crazy ripple project I started on August8…

Now I’ve added some more rows… and I can exactly tell how many hours I crocheted already πŸ™‚ hahaha

Of course, I will have to crochet another bedspread for the second bed of my girl’s bedroom…another one with the same colors…

I will think about that second one later πŸ™‚ One crazy project at a time πŸ™‚

I’m wishing you now a crazy happy week!

Stay cool and happy!

Kisses

A double tadaaaa

Hello hello hello!

What shall I show you first today? This post is special as I have to show you two finished projects and they are both lovely πŸ™‚

Ok. First.The pink stool.

I’ve had this wood stool from ages ago but it was in an ugly brown…I painted it pink and decided to make for it a nice crocheted cover…that was in may 2012 if my memory is good … I started it with the Ricco creative cotton… and never blogged about it…

Last week I decided to finish it πŸ˜‰

Because I was into “stools” and was making the red one for a special order, the pink one had to be done too…

So, here it is: Enjoyyyyyyyyy………………….

Yarn: Rico creative cotton

Hook: 4mm

For the edging I sew this cute pompom trim to the back of the crochet πŸ™‚

I love pompoms πŸ˜€

This last pic show the pink color of the wood as it is “live”

And for the second project…

I am sure you already guessed…

It is one more cute cat for my hubby… He chose the colors πŸ˜‰

Nicolas-amineko

and I love it! These cats are really addictive πŸ™‚

That’s all my friends πŸ™‚

Next time I’ll tell you about the crazy project I am in now … It is taking all my time, I’m thinking about it all day long and it is making me crazy πŸ™‚

Sending you happy kisses and lot lot of love through this post!
