Colors make me happy

Good morning dear friends,

How are you? Hope that everything is OK and that you are surrounded by rainbows and colors everyday 🙂

Lat week was a colorful one in my small part of the world…

I’ve added more colorful washi tape and my collection is slowly growing 😉

I’ve played with my clover pompom making and enjoyed a lot these little colorful balls of yarn. Let me tell you something this clover thingy is totally addictive… so easy to make pompom that you feel like you want to add pompom everywhere around your house 🙂

I’ve made a garland to hide a little bit my hubby’s stereo (which I don’t like but he does 😉 )…

In this pic you can see it more clearly 🙂 Now, with the pompoms I don’t have a problem looking at it anymore 😀 hahaha…Crossing my fingers that hubby doesn’t read my posts 😀

Some new colorful flowers bought from the local market made me very happy too 🙂 I love fresh flowers…

I’m still not done with my granny blanket… joining a square every time I have a spare moment…

Still have 7 squares to add and then the edging…

Talking about edgings this book is great… I’m trying some of its borders but I have a feeling, a deep inside feeling, that finally I will make a very simple one … We’ll see 🙂

Granny squares love

There is something about granny squares I can not resist… when I see a pic on the net or on the TV of a granny squares blanket I feel like my heart is beating furiously and I feel the urge to crochet one myself… It is like a kind of drug or something … the granny squares love… it hits you and you can not resist the temptation of starting something similar….

That’s what happened to me the day I started this granny squares blanket… It was the urge to crochet … just crochet grannies without something particular in mind… just a blanket of grannies surrounded with white… for whom? for which room? No idea… just a granny squares blanket and nothing else…

And then I began slowly but surely crocheting these squares…

One by one… with no previous idea of how big will it become…

And it became day after day bigger and bigger…

And I was soooo enjoying the hole process that I did not felt bored at all…

And I was happy watching the colors melting together in each little square …

Each little 5 rounds square was making me happy and in love …

And I started to join them as I go using Lucy’s super method (here) … and decided to make them become a summer runner for our bed 🙂

And then I made some math counting and decided that I needed 58 more to add….

So I crocheted the 58 😉 (the above pic is without them)

Now I need to join these 58 and make a good picots edging and I will have the most beautiful granny squares blanket on my bed and I will be the most happy woman on earth 😀 hahahaha

Can’t wait to show you my finished granny squares piece of love 🙂

Snapshots of love

Today is my birthday and I’m turning 36…

I feel weird… I feel old… I feel happy 🙂

I feel so full of life and projects…

* The more I grow old the more I feel that I love my home more than any other place in the world…

* The more I grow old the more I enjoy baking and spending time in my kitchen…

* The more I grow old the more I enjoy watching my children grow too and love every moment spent with them…

* The more I grow old the more I love crochet 🙂 hahaha

* The more I grow old the more I appreciate life and choose HAPPINESS…

Living slowlier…

Hello dear friend,

I feel everytime I write a new post that I repeat myself, talk about the same things, but that is what my life is all about…

I love it… I love having habits… I love waking up each morning and do again and again the same things 🙂

I love repeating the same chores…

Home time (mostly spent picking up things from the floor), cooking time, crochet and coffee time, children time, family time, Hubby time…

Each part of my day brings me joy..

Finding pleasures in the little things that is what life is all about…

The more I grow older, the more I appreciate the little things, the more I enjoy moments of happinesss…

I am living slowlier now … taking the time to look at the blue sky and smell a flower…

Taking the time to add one square … just one square a day to my Crochet Mood blanket 2014…

Try to live slowlier my friend, don’t be always in a hurry, take time to enjoy the moment, life is too short…

Hello!

The days are passing by so quickly…

The children are growing so fast…I still remember when they were newborns and it feels like yesterday…

I feel a little nostalgic today…

Crocheting makes me think about my life in general and I am thankful for my little family…

While I crochet I always have thoughts…sometimes it is bad and negative thoughts sometimes not… I try always to see the “positive” in everything and not think about dark days 🙂

A cup of coffee and some stitches make me feel better … always…

Life is good and there is always a rainbow after the rain…

Have a colorful end of week and a bright and beautiful Easter!
