Isn’t it too colorful?

Hellooooooooooooo!

How are you?

Two days ago, a friend passed by for a visit. A friend I had not seen for a long time and who’s living in France. When visiting my place, she asked with a weird tone: Isn’t it too colorful?

And these few words made me think about my place…Isn’t it too colorful? Was I doing too much? putting too much colors everywhere? Does my hubby like this sweet colorful home or he don’t tell anything to not hurt my feelings?

I was thinking and thinking about all these things and had a headache at the end …

I just love my home…I love every corner of it…but people keep saying to me that it is too colorful…sometimes they don’t tell directly…but they make sentences that hide this idea in them…

and sometimes people influence strongly our thoughts…You can tell to yourself that you don’t care … that you and your family’s opinions only counts but this does not prevent you to think and rethink about your decorating taste…

Sometimes, when it is late at night and the lights are on inside my neighbours homes I sit and imagine what do their interior looks like behind these windows…I love this game…it is one of my favorites 🙂 I imagine how their place is decorated…do they have colorful walls…colorful paintings…colorful sofas or everythink is gray or beige? do they care about what people tell or not at all?

and you? do you have colorful homes?  (I would really love to see some pics of your colorful  interiors 🙂 )

Do people tell you that it is too colorful? does this makes you think about your decorating taste or you don’t care at all?

Have a colorful day!

The joyful ripple

Good morniiiiiiing!

The first project for number3 is done 🙂 ! Hourray! and I love it! It is so easy and quick to finish a baby blanket that you become addicted and you want to crochet more and more! It is a really fun experience and you feel very happy to finish so quickly a project 🙂

Some pics of the joyful ripple for you my friend to enjoy …

Here it is:

The yarn is called “Mirage” and it is a 100% acrylic yarn crocheted with a 3mm hook… I really love this yarn…very soft (perfect for babies) with super colors …it is very similar to the Stylecraft special DK but a little thinner and the quality is better wash after wash…

I buy this yarn form a local shop here in Beirut …don’t know if they have an online shop…

The pattern of this ripple can be found HERE. It is a very easy to follow pattern and I love how it turns out 🙂

I did not make a border for this blanket as I prefered to leave it as it is and have the “waves” from two sides …

I am now on my week 17 of pregnancy… don’t know yet if it is a boy or a girl…will know maybe on the 7th of May (on my birthday) 🙂 as I have an “echo” (do we say echo in English?) and will let you know too 😉 of course 😉

I am not feeling until now any baby kicks …I am sooooo waiting for them 🙂 It is one of the best things about pregnancy…to feel your baby living inside of you…

So, my lovelies, that was the first finished project for little baby 🙂 The joyful ripple goes well for both baby boy or girl 🙂 Can’t wait to know if he is a he or she 🙂

I feel that I am on a little cloud of happiness 🙂 flying with birds high on the sky and I have all the time that idiot smile on my face 🙂

I wish to you too a very happy week  and an eternal smile on your face 🙂 Life is good!

Big kisses!

Home…

Bonjouuuur my friend,

Yesterday I woke up in a full energy mode … I decided to make a big household …The closets of the girls needed a BIG time sorting out small clothes to giveaway, putting up (in the upper cabinets) the winter ones and getting down the summer ones…Here in my country the weather changes between cold and rainy to sunny and hot in a matter of two weeks in april …

So I emptied first the wardrobes on the beds…

and didn’t feel at all discouraged by looking at the mess produced…

The wardrobes were empty…so I cleaned them before sorting the clothes and putting them again inside…

This took me about a couple of hours and look at the result…

Nice looking and clean cabinets …

in a clean and fresh room 🙂

mmmh it feels so good when you’ve done your job and there is no more mess inside and outside 😉

Time to rest now for an hour with a cup of coffee and some crochet…

in my favorite room …

in my favorite chair…

below my favorite framed pic…

in front of my favorite green corner…

doing my favorite “thingy” 😀

It is my favorite kind of day 🙂

It’s been 1 year and two months since we moved to this house…but I feel like I’ve been here for ages…

I just love each and every corner of this place and I feel so blessed to love that much my home 🙂

Have a beautiful day my friend and thank you so much for being here…

The BIG Russian doll and its 19 babies :))

Hellooooo!

This post today is a special post for Jill and Laura who asked to see the babies of the big Russian doll (the biggest one in the middle of the pic above) of my previous post. Actually there is 19 little babies inside this doll and not 29…sorry about that mistake 🙁 It was long ago since I opened for the last time this doll and I wasn’t sure about the exact number…

So? Are you ready? OKkkkkkk! Let’s open iiiiiiiiiiiiiit!

This doll is special because it is hand painted by a true artist and you’ll see when you’ll look at the pics the details of every doll even the smallest ones …

The biggest one (the mummy 🙂 ) is 30cm tall and she’s really beautiful with the smallest details hand painted on her …

and so are the 19 babies…Each one is special and has a different hand painted scene … Maybe it is a story and each doll is a different chapter of it 🙂

and these are the smallest ones 🙂

Look at number 20 … the smallest smallest one…

Isn’t it amazing??!!! It is actually a little bigger than a grain of rice but has its own face and hand painted details!!! I took several pics of it but this is the only one that wasn’t blur 🙂 It is sooo difficult sometimes to take decent pics of smallest objects like this one !

Look at it next to its mother 🙂 I like the contrast between the sizes of these dolls! It is really amazing !

That’s all my friend!

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Thank you so much for visiting!

I wish you a super wonderful week 🙂

Russian dolls

Hello! goooooood morning! Bonjouur!

This post today is all about one of my passions : Russian dolls…I’m in love with these wood dolls and I have some I want to show you today with my latest painting 🙂

Let’s begin with the painting:

This painting was inspired by THIS POST of the wonderful Jacquie 🙂 Jacquie included a Russian Doll to her collage and that’s what gave me this idea to paint Russian dolls and I really really enjoyed it and I even began another one 🙂

This acrylic on canvas is smaller than the others I’ve made before…Look at it between them 😉

and this is my wood dolls collection…

The bigger one in the middle has 30 small ones inside 🙂 I took it from my parent’s house 🙂 My mother brought it with her from a holiday in St Petersburg when I was a baby …

But my favorite is the one in the next pic…next to the painting…a boy …

I just love his cute little face 🙂

That’s all my lovelies 🙂 I hope you enjoyed this little peek into my Russian dolls 🙂

Have a wonderful week end,

and see you very soon !
