Christmas on my mantel…

Good morning sweeties,

Yesterday was a very busy day for our family. We decorated all the house and we did not left any corner without a touch of Christmas…Yes, I know, that for some of you it is too early…but I love that Christmas spirit stays in our home for two hole months…we decorate on the 22th of November (Our Independence day off here ) and we take out everything end of January…that is some kind of tradition here ๐Ÿ™‚ and I love traditions!

Today I’ll show you our mantel…just our mantel (because if I’ll show you everything (the tree, the shelves etc) there is more than 60 pics ๐Ÿ˜€ and that is too much…

I fall totally in love with these small nativity characters…they are like handmade but in ceramics …

They look like they are knitted and embellished with buttons and stitches ๐Ÿ™‚

Yesterday night we were so tired that we slept the four of us very very early Christmas spirit in our heart …

My mother keeps saying that Christmas should be in our heart not in the house, the gifts etc… I try always to remember these words and find a right balance between the real meaning of Christmas and the fake Christmas of these days…

Lighting up the candles and saying a small prayer before going to bed was a bliss …

May Christmas spirit be always in your heart ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a beautiful day!

Blooming flower cushion !

Good morning!

Hope you’ve had a great week end !

My blooming flower cushion is done…and the result is blooming wonderful ๐Ÿ™‚ wanna see?

I just love it!

The pattern is from the stunning blog of Lucy and you can find it here!

It is very easy to follow once you’ve crocheted the 5 first rounds… You have to try it! It is addictive ! and the result is beautiful …

The yarn used is called: Mirage. It is a 100% acrylic yarn crocheted with a 3.5mm crochet hook.

The back is…….well… a fabric one ๐Ÿ˜‰ I always sew my crocheted side to a fabric cushion… tssssssss I’m a lazy person ๐Ÿ™‚

I enjoyed so much making this cushion that I’m thinking about crocheting another one with a chunkier yarn and a 5mm hook… but but but I have to finish at least one of my wips first ๐Ÿ˜€

and I already began my ripple…will show you some pics very soon… There is already so many beautiful ones in the flickr group here and I am soooo thrilled by this project…. a ripple is one of y favorite things to crochet!

Happy week to you!

and THANK YOU always for visiting ๐Ÿ™‚

Sucrette goes shopping :)

Hello my lovelies!

Hope you’re having a fun week end wherever you are!

Yesterday, like you already guessed from the title of this post I did some shopping! No, no not any normal kind of shopping…MY kind of shopping and I’m soo thrilled to show you what I found with a very very good price!

A bird cage:

I felt sooo in love with this cage and on my way back home I was already planning what to put inside ๐Ÿ™‚ yeah yeahhhh!

A parrot? love birds? NO!!!NOOOO! (I sooo hate animals in cages! specially birds ! Aren’t they meant to be free? When I was a kid I once opened the door of the cage to a lovely parrot when we were visiting some of my parent’s friends! I’ll let you imagine what happened next ๐Ÿ˜‰ hehe)

So? did you guessed what I put inside?

Hearts!

I sew them quickly this morning with some fabric scraps! They are not perfect but they are small, colorful and so cute:)

Look at the result: hearts hanged in a bird cage ๐Ÿ™‚

The result is much better “live” then on these pics but I can not resist sharing with you ๐Ÿ˜‰

I Love how it looks in its new home surrounded by some crochet goodies!

And did you see the geese? Yes I bought these too:)

Aren’t they adorable and sooo vintage? I keep smiling every time I enter the living room and look at them!

It is sooo good to live surrounded by people and things you love! and I just love every single object of my happy home! I am so blessed!

Sending you lots and lots of happy and colorful thoughts ๐Ÿ™‚

See you next time with some new crochet projects ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here the sun is going down and we have a beautiful sunset…

Have a marvelous evening too!
