Getting busy…

Good morning friends around the globe!

Hope you’re doing great today…

I’ve been playing with my favorite stash of yarn and could not resist beginning a new project…

My favorite part in any hooky project is when I choose the colors and take them from their box to my favorite basket…and then dream a little bit on what I’ll be making… and how the project will turn out once finished … 🙂

Crochet day dreaming is the best 🙂

This yarn is my favorite… Even though it is a little thin (crochet with a 3mm hook) it has the most wonderful colors…

It is called Mirage…a 100% acrylic yarn…

and I’ve decided to make a bedspread for the baby’s room…Yes, I know that my own bedspread is not finished yet and I’m still making Love bird squares but I will be working on both of them together 🙂

And for this project I’ve been inspired by the lovely work of Derya…she’s been working on her own patchwork blanket and posting great pics about it day after day…and I was like : woooow I want to make one 🙂

Derya has a beautiful blog where she post everyday lovely pics of her crochet projects…Even though it is in turkish and I don’t understand a word I am always happy to visit her and get inspired by her talented projects and her wonderful choice of colors …

So… I began mine…

and I’m making 4 squares/ day … Oh you cannot imagine how much pleasure this simple project is giving me 🙂 Crocheting traditional granny squares of 6 rounds each and joining them together as-I-go … colorful plain granny squares 🙂 I love youuuuuuuuuuu soooo muchhh 🙂

and I feel that it will turn out wonderful as a single bedspread…what do you think?

Now I have two bedspreads on the making…One single and one double 🙂 yahooooooooooooo!

and I’ve began a new small painting also…in my new craft room 🙂

Rediscovering the pleasure of painting after a long period of time…is simply wonderful!

I’m off now to finish it!

Thank you so much for visiting…

Wishing you small pleasures to brighten up your day 🙂

Big kisses

Baby granny blanket!

Hellooooooooooooo!

I’m very proud to show you today my baby granny blanket in all its glory 🙂 Tadaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

This blanket was crocheted with the Nako Vizon …a 100% acrylic yarn with a 4mm crochet hook.

It is made with 48 traditional 4 rounds granny squares joined together as-I-go…

You can find the graphic pattern for the traditional granny square HERE!

And for the joining-as-you-go method, I use Lucy’s wonderful tuto that you can find HERE 🙂

The edging is crocheted with two granny rounds (1 in brown followed by 1 in blue) then a round of my favorite ole-ole border that you can find HERE 🙂 I just love this border and I can’t help my-self using it everytime 🙂

Now I’m taking extreme pleasure in buying boys’s toys 🙂 after many years of princesses and pink stuff 🙂

Like this cute little bear… Isn’t it adorable?

Or these little colorful wood cars …

Before I go today, I want to thank you all for the wonderful comments you leave here. I’m trying my best to write a small thank you to each one of you but sometimes I just can’t… so if I’m not answering you back, do excuse me…I always visit your blog and follow it with my reader but I don’t often have enough time to leave comments 🙁

I wish you a wonderful and colorful day…

Here the weather is soooo hot and sunny I can barely move 🙂

BIG BIG kisses!

Hello! It’s me again…

Good morning my sweeties,

It’s been more than a week since I made a proper post here and I’m sorry for not being so present here these days… I’ve been through an awful week when everybody in this house except me was ill and I was the only nurse on board… Both the girls and even Hubby (my super hero 😉 ) were ill and I can not describe for you how crazy it was for me to take care of everybody with my big big tummy … Thanks GOD today we are all better and slowly recovering …

I want to show you today some progress I’ve made to my baby’s blanket….

All the squares are done 🙂 Youpiiii! I still need to join them together with a 4th round in brown 🙂

I’m loving so much this blanket …

and can’t wait to show it to you done 🙂

I’m really really BIG now…and I can hardly move … I feel like my tummy is like a BIG balloon which will from one moment to another explode like a bomb 😀

My craft room is almost done 🙂 It is now my favorite place in this house…

Can’t wait to show you all the “before and after” pics and there is a lot!!!

Have to go now…

Take good care of yourself sweeties

and see you very soon!

KISSES!

Do you remember Love Birds?

Hello lovelies!

Great to see you after this week end. Do you remember Love Birds? It was back in April that I blogged about it for the last time … and it was here! 3 months ago…woooow…time flies 🙂

Well, I managed some free time to do some squares for Love birds in the past week…

and they are enough now for a single bedspread … 88 squares in total 🙂 yahooooo!

I’m thinking about making the last round in blue for all these squares and then begin joining them together…

Maybe I should make a single bedspread for my son’s room (the one that is still in my tummy 😉 ) instead of a double one for ours? What are you thinking right now? I’m a lazy lady 😀 eh? hehe

Maybe maybe maybe I’ll have enough courage to continue and make 33 more squares then it will be big enough for our double bed…maybe yes… maybe no… who knows?

I love this pic 🙂 (above) mmmh … crocheted squares of yarn stacked like a big sandwich 🙂

and this one too 🙂 my tower of happiness 🙂

Don’t you love looking at pics of crocheted squares? Or am I boring you? Hope I’m not 😉

Well, one last thing before leaving you today is a BIG BIG thank you to a lovely friend of mine who sent me the most adorable handmade gift… a lovely leather door key…who came with the postman from Paris…

Rosemarie has a beautiful blog that you should really visit here! and she’s one of the most adorable and generous person I’ve ever met in blogland! Merci! GRAND MERCI du fond du coeur Rosemarie!

Well, my sweeties, one last pic of yarn porn before leaving you today…

Wishing you a wonderful week full of good things 🙂

The baby granny blanket…slow progress…

Good morning sweet people,

Some pics to share with you today about my slow progress on the making of my baby blanket…

I’m on my 26th week of pregnancy now and I feel like I’m a big cow but slow like a turtle 🙂

It is very very hot now here …we’re in the summer days… and I can not stand holding the yarn for a long time…

That’s why I’m so slowly progressing on a blanket which should be finished by now…

I’m loving it and I’m loving the colors sooo much…

This soft doll you’re seeing in this pic is one I’ve made back in 2006 🙂

What do you think about it so far? It is the first time I use so much brown in one project but I like it 😉

Have to go now…

and leave you my friend…

Sending you lots of kisses!
