Progress

Good moooorning, hello, bonjouuuuur

How are you? Hope you’re fine today! It seems like time is flying for me these days and I’m running like crazy ๐Ÿ™‚ I wish I’ve had just a couple of hours per day to sit quietly and crochet ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m making progresss on the baby grannyย blanket but it is a very slow one … I really should be finishing this blanket by now…but with an average of 10 minutes of crochet per day it is quite impossible ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m loving the slow making of it…I must confess

Apart from that, life is quite and ordinary…we’re enjoying the summer days…we’re enjoying the “at-home” days…

ย and we’re making progress too in our “construction-works”…we’ve already made the walls to divide the space:

Here is my future craft rooms (It has the two windows you see on the right side of this pic and the door on the left) The other half where I’m standing to take this pic is my hubby’s place…We’ll haveย a big closet in the middle to make a boundary between our two spaces ๐Ÿ˜‰

Now, we’re gonna put new tiles on the floor (I’ll show you, next time, when it will be done)

Have a happy week my friend!

Lovely days…

Good morning sweeties,

I am really really missing you these days ๐Ÿ™‚ I feel like I’m a little away from blogland even though I’m still crocheting …

I am better today…totally cured and in a very good shape… sunshine again in my life ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thank you so much for your lovely response about the baby set pattern…I am always very happy that you like that much the patterns I’m making ๐Ÿ™‚ It is a huge pleasure for me knowing that you’re crocheting the same little projects that I do ๐Ÿ™‚

There is so much happening here in my little house…The girls are at home and there is a lot of construction work happening…

My craft room will become very soon the new baby’s room… and downstairs, we have a huge inside parking for the cars, which will be divided into two rooms (one for my craft studio, the second for my hubby’s work) and a parking for our cars(not a huge one anymore). So we are now making walls, dividing the space, painting…etcย and I am dreaming….dreaming about my future place, just for me, just for my painting, my crochet and my sewing work ๐Ÿ™‚ and it fills me with such a huge joy….knowing that in a few weeks I will have a room for my new baby and downstairs a room just for my stuff, a room that I can decorate like I want and where I can do all the dreamy things I love to do…I am lucky I know ๐Ÿ™‚

I will show you all the pics of “before” and “after” if you love to have a peek ๐Ÿ˜‰ now there is just a big grey space…not so interesting to look at…

Talking about crochet…

I am finishing now the crocheted cover I’m making for my stool…

It is turning out great…can’t wait to show you…

and I’m working also on my baby granny blanket ….

crocheting small two-rounds colorful grannies …

to add them to the blanket… Oh how I love grannies…I am a granny lover…can’t get enough of them ๐Ÿ™‚

That’s what’s going on in my life these days…I am in a very happy mood…staying home… spending time with my girls…making projects for my little house… dreaming and getting kicked a lot from the little bundle of joy that is growing inside me ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you’re feeling good too my friend…that the sun is shining for you wherever you are…

Have a beautiful day

Baby granny blanket

Hello sweeties!

How’s everything? Hope all is great for you! I am now in my 24th week of pregnancy and I’m feeling good so far…the baby is kicking me a lot and I must confess that this is one of the best things I just love about being pregnant ๐Ÿ™‚

Last week, I started a new blanket for him! This is his second one. The first was the joyful ripple if you still remember!

Well, this second blanket will be a granny one for the coldest days of winter as I’m crocheting it with the Nako Vizon yarn and a 4.5mm crochet hook…Wanna see some pics?

First I chose some colors…9 bright and lovely colors for the first two rounds of each granny…

and two colors for round3 and 4 of each square…A lovely light blue with a beautiful brown …

and then I started some grannies just to try out the result of this combination-idea I had on my mind for weeks ๐Ÿ˜‰

and I made 9 colorful 2 rounds-squares … and then I crocheted the third round in light blue…

then I added a 4th round in brown…

I’m joining the squares with this 4th round using the join-as-I-go method…

I just love how this turned out ๐Ÿ™‚ what do you think?

ย

I love these blue and brown colors surrounding the others ๐Ÿ™‚

There is something about granny squares that make me want to crochet all day long …I just can’t resist them ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m using the very classic pattern for these squares. You can find it here!

So, sweeties, I hope you like the beginning of my new wip!

Thank you so much for visiting today and thanks to all of you who voted for Le monde de Sucrette on the 2012 Blue ribbon Blogger awards of Country Living….Even thought I can not win and I just discovered this due to the lovely Denise who left for me a comment saying that this competition was for the residents of the U.S only ๐Ÿ™ I feel a little dissapointed and a little sad because I let you vote for a comptetion I could not win…so sorry my friend ๐Ÿ™ I did not knew ๐Ÿ™

Concerning the baby set pattern: I did not finish it yet…sorry again…cause this weekend I could not find time for it … I promise that it will be ready at the end of this week ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a lovely day wherever you are…I’m sendingย a lot of hugsย and kisses your way!

The joyful ripple

Good morniiiiiiing!

The first project for number3 is done ๐Ÿ™‚ ! Hourray! and I love it! It is so easy and quick to finish a baby blanket that you become addicted and you want to crochet more and more! It is a really fun experience and you feel very happy to finish so quickly a project ๐Ÿ™‚

Some pics of the joyful ripple for you my friend to enjoy …

Here it is:

The yarn is called “Mirage” and it is a 100% acrylic yarn crocheted with a 3mm hook… I really love this yarn…very soft (perfect for babies) with super colors …it is very similar to the Stylecraft special DK but a little thinner and the quality is better wash after wash…

I buy this yarn form a local shop here in Beirut …don’t know if they have an online shop…

The pattern of this ripple can be found HERE. It is a very easy to follow pattern and I love how it turns out ๐Ÿ™‚

I did not make a border for this blanket as I prefered to leave it as it is and have theย “waves” from two sides …

I am now on my week 17 of pregnancy… don’t know yet if it is a boy or a girl…will know maybe on the 7th of May (on my birthday)ย ๐Ÿ™‚ as I have an “echo”ย (do we say echo in English?) and will let you know too ๐Ÿ˜‰ of course ๐Ÿ˜‰

I am not feelingย until now any baby kicks …I am sooooo waiting for them ๐Ÿ™‚ It is one of the best things about pregnancy…to feel your baby living inside of you…

So, my lovelies, that was the first finished project for little baby ๐Ÿ™‚ The joyful ripple goes well for both baby boy or girl ๐Ÿ™‚ Can’t wait to know if he is a he or she ๐Ÿ™‚

I feel that I am onย a little cloud of happiness ๐Ÿ™‚ flying with birds high on the sky and I have all the timeย that idiot smile on my face ๐Ÿ™‚

I wish to you tooย a very happy week ย and an eternal smile on your face ๐Ÿ™‚ Life is good!

Big kisses!
