Discovering a new crochet stitch…

…and loving it a lot lot lot!

Good morning lovely people!

How are you today? Last week, I discovered on the net a beautiful crochet stitch and I searched for its pattern and found out that it is the easiest crochet pattern I’ve ever seen so I thought about sharing it with you of course 😉

Don’t know if you already know about it …it is called Moss stitch crochet and it is G O R G E O U S 🙂 The kind of stitch I easily fall in love with cause it melts the colors used in a wonderful way…

No more talking … let’s see some pics ( I’m hearing you…) shall we?

So I started a cowl with some Nako Vizon Yarn using a 4mm crochet hook…

Let’s have some close ups…

Oh oh oh!! Isn’t it wonderful? Do you see the little touches of colors how they melt together? Are you in love like myself?

and and and… it is super super easy to make…1 single crochet, 1 chain etc etc 🙂

You have to google it for all the instructions… (just type moss stitch crochet) there is some youtube videos with step by step instructions and written patterns ect… all that you need to learn this very very easy stitch…

Now, I’m thinking about starting a blanket for Joe with that stitch…Mmmm I’m already planning in my head the color’s combinations 🙂

Should I finish joining the love birds blanket squares first?

 I really should…don’t know if I can… 😀

Have to leave you now… little baby is crying 🙂

I’ll leave you with a Christina’s pic…

Aren’t children adorable?

Have a wonderful colorful week my friend!

Sucrette

P.s: Some of you are writing to me that they are not receiving the newsletter and I really don’t know why and how to fix that problem…can you please advise if you’re receiving it or no? And if you’re not, can you try to unsubscribe and then subscribe again? Sorry for that my friend… Kisses!

I love the stitch and the colors. I think it’s also called linen stitch. I made a table runner back in the summer with the same stitch, but I found it under linen stitch… Very pretty.
Your children are adorable . 🙂

Quelle joie!
Merci pour cette nouvelle méthode du crochet. Je verrai si j’arrive…! En tout cas le résultat est joli!
    Passez une bonne semaine!

  13. Debi

Beautiful! Both cowl and Christina!!! That stitch is one of my FAVORITES! I just finished a tote bag using it last night, in fact. I’ve never heard it called the moss stitch though…I’ve always called in the linen stitch (because that’s the first name I heard for it), but have also seen it called the fabric stitch.

  14. Cindy

I love the stitch. Your crocheting is so colorful.

  15. Sue

That stitch looks very good especially when using different colours. I must search for that now 🙂

Christina looks very sweet and it is nice to see a girl playing with a doll.

Ooo blanket decisions, make a new one for Joe as the weather will be colder soon and he is small. Maybe you could try and join two love birds squares a day and then you won’t feel guilty.

thanks so much for a “new” stitch. I cannot read crochet directions but this is the 2nd stitch I’ve learned from watching youtube. I’m so glad you shared this because I was looking for something different. I’m soon to be 77 and I’m trying to use up all the yarn I’ve collected over the years and I’ve always had the idea that one should learn at least One new thing each day. So today I’ve learned the new stitch and will be using the last bits of my collection. Thanks again.

  25. Hazel

That is a very lovely stitch! Cute picture of your daughter too. x

Hi Angie, so glad little Joe’s tummy is feeling better and you seem to be also, Pretty soon he’ll be crawling around and wanting to play with his sisters.
About your web page. sometimes I have to click onto the inbox to bring it in again and then on your email to get the blue color onto the writing and click on it the 2nd time to come up. Oh, Angie, your work is so nice and even. I tried knitting again to knit some booties for the church program but the ends are so loose and I pull the ends tight. I like the knitting cause it is much softer.
    Take care, Hugs, Flo

This is one of my favorite stitches. The color change is lovely! I hae not tried it by changing the colors and look forward to experimenting! I love how this stitch looks on a hat, too: http://institchgratification.blogspot.com/2013/02/baby-bunting.html

You’ll have to scroll down a few photos to see a hat made with that stitch.

    Thank you for the inspiration!
