was a good kind of hooky week…

A lot happened around here πŸ™‚

My crochet mood blanket 2014 is coming up nicely…

cmb---feb14-2

I am loving working on it and sometimes I feel like I want to finish it all and not do just one square per day πŸ™‚

These are the first 14 days of February πŸ™‚

I chose some yarn to begin a new project too…

A vintage stripy blanket…

This blanket is crocheted with rows of trebles only… I began with a 150 chain and I am working the tr in the space between the trs of the previous row … that is giving to it this lovely effect πŸ™‚ I love it so far… and I’ve progressed on it too πŸ™‚

It will be a big gorgeous blankie I am sure already πŸ™‚

I love how the colors are melting together…this reminds me a little the moss stitch effect …but this is a lot quicker to crochet πŸ˜‰

Working on big rows is very soothing and calming…

The best medicine when your children are grumpy and sick πŸ˜‰

And I am also still working on my granny with white border…

and enjoying it πŸ™‚ OOOH the pleasure of crocheting granny squares … I just love crocheting them…

new yarn love

I’ll leave you now with this last pic of some gorgeous yarn I bought just for the pleasure…without any project plan for them in my head πŸ™‚

And this is for me the best kind of shopping on earth πŸ™‚

Have a wonderful weekend my friends, thank you for your visit and see you very very soon πŸ˜‰

Kisses and love

Sucrette

P.S: You keep asking me about the yarn I use for my projects. It is mostly turkish brands (Nako, Mirage) Β I buy from my local store here in Beirut. And unfortunately you can not find them online πŸ™ They are very similar to the Stylecraft special DKΒ  a brand you can order easily online πŸ˜‰

Your mood blanket is coming along wonderfully. I especial like your vintage stripe Blankie, I know what you mean about the calming affect of just crocheting a lovely long row, I have just started a Granny stripe Blankie and it’s so soothing just working my rows.
I believe there is no other way to shop for yarn. See it, Like it, Buy it. I’ll find something to make with it later πŸ™‚
    Have a lovely weekend

Such beautiful colours you use always, it must be a reflection of your personality. I’m about to do a – ripple jumper – yes I fancy a crochet jumper with stripes and what better pattern could I do it in. Only, should I do it on a 4 or 5 hook? I can’t see what hook you’re using on here. BTW I am using SMC extra soft merino which I bought when it was very cheap on offer. I’m trying also to decide whether to do your old ripple which might be a bit more difficult or Lucy’s simpler one which I have already used in a blanket.
