Fairy tale blanket: 8 rows!

Good evening ladies,

Hope you are as happy as myself tonight …

This is a quick post to show you my wip fairytale blanket …which is turning beautiful…

Do you want to see? These are some pics for you…

8 rows…yes I’ve made 8 rows so far and I’m in love with every single square of every single row ๐Ÿ˜€

Mmmmh what do you think? Do you feel the same?

It is strange how some colorful yarns crocheted together can make me feel so incredibly happy (and I know that I am not alone ๐Ÿ™‚ )

My husband and many persons around me do not understand these curious feelings provoked by a hook and a yarn ๐Ÿ™‚ but it does not matter my friend because I have you, yes you, behind your screen who understand me…

and now, with one last pic, I shall leave you……

…leave you for at least two weeks…two or maybe three very long weeks…while I’ll be packing and unpacking…and while I’ll not be having any internet connection…until everything will come back to normal again…

So my friend, before leaving you I want to thank you for being here, for all your sweet and kind words and wish you happy days full of lovely moments …

I’ll miss you ๐Ÿ™

ciaoooooooo,

Sucrette

Flowery scarf………………………….D O N E :)

Good morning sweeties,

How are you today? Here the sun is shining, birds singing and I am in a very happy mood ๐Ÿ˜€

I finished yesterday my scarf and I must admit it is a very easy process making and the result is wonderful…

Let’s have a peek, shall we?The scarf , as you see here, is long enough to wrap it two timesย  around my neckโ€ฆ It makes a 208cm long and 23cm large…I think it is the perfect dimensions for a neck warmer ๐Ÿ˜‰

I crocheted it using the leftovers of my Stylecraft special DK yarns I bought online from here

… with a 3mm crochet hook.

Now, I have to concentrate on my fairy tale blanket (the one and only project in my hands for the moment ๐Ÿ™‚ ) and try to finish it before beginning anything else (that’s what I always say and never do ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

Our “move” (to a new home) is in one week (on the 28th)…the count down has begin…I am feeling so excited and a little stressed about the coming weeks…cross your fingers that everything will go well…

And now I must leave you and go back to my fairy tale which I’ll show you the progress done so far next time ๐Ÿ™‚

Until then, I wish you a wonderful weekend wherever you are around the globe…

Kisses,

Sucrette

You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.
You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days.
And, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each others cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Give your hearts, but not into each others keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each others shadow.

May Love be always in your home and in your heart,

Happy Valentine’s day!

New scarf project and a pattern :)

Good morning my friend,

How are you today?

I was so inspired two days ago after seeing the lovely post of Lucy about her new shawl project…so inspired that I took my hook right away and tried the pattern she used…

The pattern is lovely but I wanted to make a long scarf , something like a long neck warmer you know what I mean? and this pattern was kind of “bold” for a scarf…I wanted something “lighter” (Is that a word?)

So, I took an old crochet magazine and transformed my way a pattern made originally for a doily…and I loved it so much……so much…that I crocheted a flower and after another flower etc…with leftover yarns….

…so much that I made right away a graphic pattern for the modified version of the original pattern…

…so much that I want to continue making a long series of flowers to make a very long scarf I can wrap it two or three timesย  around my neck…

so? what do you think? Do you want to join in? You can make a “light” shawl with this pattern too or some coasters maybe ๐Ÿ™‚ I have to leave you now and return to my new project ๐Ÿ™‚ (so excited about it!!!!!!!!!)

Have a beautiful week end!

Olรฉ Olรฉ blanket: The border

Good evening ladies,
Hope everything is fine !

Let me begin this post by thanking each and every one of you… one by one… every single one… for every sweet comment you left on my Olรฉ Olรฉ blanket post…Your words filled my heart with a big joy and I felt sooo happy reading them ๐Ÿ™‚

A BIIIIIIIIIG THANK YOU!

This is, as promised, the graphic pattern of the border of Olรฉ Olรฉ blanket:

You have to make two rows of dc first and for the third row (in red) all you have to do is to crochet by following the steps 1, 2, 3 and 4 (in light blue)

It is very easy, you’ll see as soon as you’ll try ๐Ÿ˜‰

And for you who asked for the pattern of the blanket, I am so sorry…I took it from this french book , but you can find something quite similar in the blog of the wonderful Lucy here. ๐Ÿ˜‰

That’s all my friend!

Hope I made it clear…

Do not hesitate to ask any question, I’ll be more than happy to answer ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a great and warm evening!

Angie
