Hello my friend!
Hope you’re spending a joyful week end…
Today, I want to show you my new pitcher… Isn’t it lovely? I adore it 🙂 It is hand painted and so colorful and fresh…I could not resist … 🙂
and do you see this colorful doily? Isn’t it beautiful? I crocheted it 7 years ago when I was newly wed 🙂 I was sooo patient before having kids 🙂 hehe
I used to crochet with very thin thread and a very tiny crochet hook… but that was long time ago…before discovering the joy of crocheting with thick colorful yarn 🙂
I think I can not make anymore this kind of project : sooo many small squares crocheted with a tiny tiny kind of thread… can you?
Can you mix between to different kind of crochet wips? one with chunky yarn and another with very very thin kind of thread? and enjoy them both?
I, myself, could not…I can easily mix between many wips but with the same kind of yarn…and I think that crocheting with very thin thread is somehow boring and too long … Can not make you wait too long between two tadaaaaaaaa 😉 hehe
So, if you’re working on colorful tiny crochet project or you already did something similar in the past I would really really appreciate to see your pics…
Have to go now…
Thank you so much for visiting today and a BIG thank you for being here and leaving such sweet messages …
Have a wonderful week end!

Lovely colors on the pitche. So bright and cheerful! I can see why you love it!
I understand…Once you are used to making motifs with yarn, it is hard to go back to thread. Some time ago I made a couple of tops with motifs, using fine thread. Here is the link if you want to see them (text in Spanish, but there are pics and graphs).

I love to mix old with the new. Everything can be reusale. I also have a hard time with the thin thread. Much prefer thicker yarn- moves faster.
Thanks for sharing- again ,a smile for the start of my day.

That doilly is beautiful. I have spent the week reading ‘Crochet Master Class’. It has really pretty thread crochet in it. Your work reminds me of it. I haven’t done any thread crochet yet, may try it after the holidays.
I love the doily! The fact that it is in many colors really makes it more lovely.
heheh, I agree with you. I like my crochet quick, colourful, bulky with lots of satisfaction… a bit like junk food and who doesn’t like junk food! heheeh
I love both your jar and your doily. I haven’t tried anything working with fine thread, but I would like to try one day. I must admit that I like working with larger thread simply because you finish quicker!

I think is so beautiful, so colored, so yours. I would love to have the scheme. I love thin yarn also.
muy lindo

Hello!!! you new pitcher looks beautiful and matches perfectly with your doily!!!!
I don’t like so much to work wih thin thread, like you prefere yarns and medium/big crochet hook and not doing forever the same project…LOL!!!
Have a nice week end!!!!

That’s a beautiful pitcher and an equally beautiful doily! I try to avoid using thin thread to make something fiddly like this. I usually make flowers with them. But I find that I could use a 3-3.5mm hook instead of the smaller ones with these kind of yarns. And I usually don’t mix my wips that uses different size hooks as I feel odd switching to and fro 🙂
Angie, I have something I wish to ask you..is it possible if you could email me : hazeleaf@yahoo.com
Thanks!
I love this doily, it’s gorgeous! I’ve just made a shopping bag with crochet thread, the first time I’ve used thin thread and I really enjoyed it. I would love to make a doily like this and I’d definitely have a thin yarn wip and thick yarn wip going on at the same time!
Ce modèle est absolument ravissant. Tout en finesse. Les couleurs sont bien harmonisées.
J’ai découvert votre blog, il y a peu. Ce que vous créez est magnifique. Je vous ai mise dans mes favoris.
Cordialement.

I love your new pitcher and it looks so wonderful on your crochet doily which is most beautifully made with amazing patience.
Although I have recently become more interested in crochet than in my earlier years, I did dabble with it many years ago and made one small doily in one colour…. very boring… and started another in pink and blue making squares which were to be joined together. I got 3 squares made before abandoning it… I will fish them out to take a picture soon.
Beautiful, beautiful. Your blog is so full of gorgeous colors and textures. I love visiting. Karie
I LOVE the doily.
Gorgeous.
Just love the detail and beauty of the colourful doily!
Have a good week.

Thanks for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do a little research on this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I think I learned more clear from this post. I’m very glad to see such excellent info being shared freely out there.
