Good morning!
How was your week end? Hope it was great! Thank you so much for all your lovely comments on my last post! I picked up one of the projects to start with…
Sorry, it is not the turtle 🙂 But I promise, I promise that I’ll make that turtle soon 🙂 It is a Sucrette’s promise 😉
This special project I picked now holds a special place in my heart… It is a baby blanket I started back in September …I was at that time pregnant …then I made a miscarriage and lost my baby… So I left this blanket in THE BOX, heart broken 🙁 I did not blog about it then because it was too sad and painful for me and I couldn’t express what I was feeling with words in a happy crochet blog …
And since that black day of September everytime I open that box and see that blanket my heart cries…But now that months have passed by and hope came back again and again I decided to finish this baby blanket and offer it to one of my pregnant friends (They are 4 🙂 )
I still have the yarn (It is Nako baby a mixture of 50%acrylic and 50%polyamid )…
I still have the first two rows made…
I still have the 3mm crochet hook …
and I still have the pattern. It is HERE!
All I have to do is to give it a go, enjoy it because the yarn is the best yarn I ever touched in my whole life sooo soft and sooo good to crochet with and finish it so a small cute baby can be wrapped with love in it 🙂
Have to go now…
I’m wishing you an excellent week!
Take care,
Sucrette
Glad you are now able to complete the lovely blanket. Time is a great healer, I say that with experience after having 4 miscarriages x
Oh Sucrette,
What a beautiful blanket this will be! Hope it will also bring heaing to you.
(Also been there)

Oh Angie! I know what you are talking about. I also lost a baby last year (for the second time). Life can be so hard sometimes. I wish, I could give you a big hug now! It is a good thing to finish this blanket, I guess, it will help you a lot. And the blanket is going to be amazing, I love the pattern and all the happy colours in that blanket.
Sending you lots of love and may our dreams come true very soon! xxxBarbina

Wish you a beautiful monday and many greetings.
Adri.
Dearest Angie,
I am so sorry about your loss. But I am also happy that you have decided to work again on this blanket. Don’t you think we crocheters put a little bit of ourselves and a lot of our love in everything we make. The colours are gorgeous and I am tempted to tell you to keep it for yourself, but sometimes giving your love to someone also brings great joy. Have a nice day!
Oh Angie, you have such a lovely heart. You spread so much caring and joy; the mother whose baby receives this blanket will be double blessed. I am so sorry for your loss; I had 4 miscarriages over 30 years ago, all at the end of the 2nd trimester. Today I have a very close relationship with my 32 yr. old son, my only child.
I hope this special blanket brings your heart peace,
With love, Lisa in Oregon
Oh how terribly sad for you.
What beautiful colours. I am sure your precious blanket will bring great pleasure to your friend.

Hi Angie. I know exactly how you feel having had 3 miscarriages myself. It’s very hard to get over (do we ever really ‘get over’ it?) but time heals and so does love. This blanket will be a closure for you and will help to celebrate another new life for someone else… Make it with love, give it with love and with each stitch you create, allow your heart to mend…. lol xxx
Sweet Sucrette, time does heal all the wounds… it’s not really gone but it is tucked away somewhere in your heart and you can go on… good luck. x
Dear Angie, I’m so sorry to hear about your miscarriage, so very sad. I completely understand how you feel having been there myself many years ago, it is so very hard.
I’m am happy for you that you can now work on the gorgeous blanket and finish it to give to one of your friends for their baby. I wish you every good fortune for the future. BIG HUGS Elly xx
J’ai du pleurer en lisant ton post. J’en ai perdu deux il y a déjà 15 ans. On oublie jamais mais la vie continue!
Bless you Angie, I’ve been there and so has my daughter. Don’t despair, my daughter went on to have another 3 after her loss. It is hard to come to terms with but I know you have such a sunny outlook that you’ll be strong. Sending you lots of happy vibes. BTW the baby blanket is lovely, just like you!
Hugs and kisses, Lita xx
it takes great courage to start again and yes, crochet is healing too..when i had my miscarriage, i actually bought a 1500 piece jigsaw puzzle…it did that for two whole weeks..it helped…take care and God bless.
Dearest Angie, reading your post and the comments antil now, I relived my own loss (I had a stillborn baby and my daughter lost twins in the seventh month of gestation) – the sadness will always be there. But I also saw the confirmation that in spite of the loss and the pain, at times such as this, women’s special strength shows – this lovely blanket and the spirit of caring and loving which goes into it will enhance your strength! You can be certain the world is a better place beacuse of you and what you do!

Hmmmm just realised that sounds wrong, what I meant to say was she went on to have another 3 children.
Need to wake up properly before writing. :0(
Thank you so much for sharing your loss with us. As others have said, the passing of time helps. When I hear of another’s loss, it brings my own back after 43 years. Thank you for all that you do to help me enjoy my favorite pastime…crocheting!
I am so sorry for your sorrow.
Perhaps working with this yarn will help to mend your heart.
♥♥’s & hugs,
Gerry
