Something new on my hook…

Good morning sweeties

This weekend I started something new…Yes I know I have already 4 crochet wips and one knitting but I could not help myself…

Inspired by this wonderful blog and the beautiful ponchos they make, I started a poncho for myself… a big poncho …something like a wearable blanket… Something that will keep me warm and free my hands and feet to move and do things at home… Something I can wear while crocheting in front of the T.V during the cold evenings…

And how big was my surprise when I read this morning Lucy’s post and discovered that she started a poncho for herself too πŸ˜€

This poncho I am crocheting is made of granny squares and a black border. I am loving too much the black against the other colors…

I started the front and the back separately….and I’ll sew them together once they are done…

I am using leftovers from my stash, mostly 100% acrylic nako vizon yarn with a 4.5mm hook…

You can find the graphic pattern of the square here.Β I’ll join the squares as I go and once the front and the back crocheted I’ll sew them together…

That’s all my friend! I hope that you like my new wip… Feel free to join me and crochet a happy poncho for yourself! Come on! Let’s crochet along πŸ™‚

Have a wonderful week, stay warm and crochet crochet crochet πŸ™‚

I also love the way black brings out the colours. Very vibrant. Will look forward to seeing your finished poncho. BTW you’re not the only one who has lots of wips πŸ™‚ xoxox

Oh, that looks already very pretty, Angie! The black colour in the “background” makes the bright colours even brighter, like stained glass. Looking forward to more pictures of your poncho! Cheers, Sonja

I love the black and use it quite often. It just makes everything pop out and wake all the colors up to a wow!

Hi Angie! I think it’s hilarious that both you and Lucy had this poncho/wearable blanket idea at the same time! I remember the poncho you’ve made some time ago and can’t wait to see how this one turns out (I’ve been dreaming of something like this for some time, too!)

Have a great and cozy week,
    Barbara

The black really makes the colours zing, it’s going to be gorgeous. I see you’ve got a new filofax obsession, welcome to the club.

Have a lovely Christmas. I’ve also read the Lucy post and can’t wait to see both of them being worn.

The wind is blowing here and it’s raining and cold. I have yet to get more food in.

We all know how aggressive the competition in the weight loss industry iss
since weight loss supplements and diet pills for women have
become the most popular way to manage body weight issues.
One of the easiest ways to prevent a false result is by alerting your physician to any medications you may be taking, prescriltion or
over the counter, and usage of herbal remedies.
Using weight loss supplements should always be a laast resort as they can cause serious side effects and associated complication.
