A small update

Good morning my sweet friends

I’m missing blogging these days…

I’m missing blogging, knitting and crocheting 🙁

I have the carpal tunnel syndrome … I am having tingling and numbness in my hands … and this is making me crazy…preventing me from working with my hands… which I’m not used too…at all…

and I still have two weeks to go before my C-section due date … Grrrrr… how to pass the time when you can not do anything with your hands??? tell me…

This is a quick update with all my wips…I have to show you…even though I’m working like 1% of my usual hobby time and my fingers are hurting me like crazy…

First, my mother taught me how to follow knitting instructions from a book to make a little sweater for my baby…

It is not so difficult and I began… after many trials this is what I’ve been up to…

I’m very proud of myself 🙂 hehe and I feel like a bright new door opened for me… even though I’ll have to wait for this bad carpal tunnel syndrome to go away…

I’ve made little progress in the jacquard cushion too… adding small hearts 🙂

and more progress in the patchwork crocheted baby’s bedspread 😉

This will have to wait too…

but I’ll wait…what can I do? It is after all for a good cause 🙂

Have to go now… excuse me if I’ll be less present here in the coming days…

I’ll miss you for sure…

Big big kisses to you through this post…

See you soon 😉

A little bit of this…a little bit of that

Good morning sweeties,

I’ve enjoyed reading your comments and your experiences concerning crochet v/s knitting on my previous post… Most of you prefers crochet and I think that will be the case for me too…

Now I’m still learning and enjoying the music of my needles…I discovered the joy of crocheting with bamboo needles and I’ve made some real progress in the “jacquard” thanks to some really good videos on youtube. Thank you for telling me about the videos… that helps a lot a lot 🙂

So, here is what I’ve been up to in knitting…

I started a “jacquard” cushion 🙂 hehe

Not very neat but I feel that I’m making progress in learning and that’s what counts eh? 😉

I’m really proud of myself 🙂 hehe

Now, I’m waiting for my mummy to teach me how to follow instructions to make a small vest for my baby…

I’ve made some progress too on the baby’s patchwork bedspread …

I really really love it 🙂

I decided to add 1 row on each side (right and left) so it will drop more nicely from each side… and I still have also 4 rows to add to the top (I don’t know if you’re understanding what I mean 🙂 ) That will be 68 squares left 🙂

but I’m enjoying crocheting it to the max 😀

My due date is around september 15 …so I still have around 3 weeks to go…I give birth by Cesarian so I began feeling a little stressed about the day … even though I can’t wait to see my little baby and hold him in my arms 🙂

I wish you a beautiful day wherever you are!

Thank you for visiting!

Hugs to all

On my needles…

Helloooooo lovely people,

I’m here today to announce to you that I AM ACTUALLY LEARNING TO KNIT 🙂 Yes, I started two weeks ago when I bought this wonderful book full of beautiful pics …

It gave me the “punch” I needed to get started …It is simple not too complicated until now…

I’m still practising the very basic stitches till now… nothing important 😉

but I soo want to know how to knit in 3D to make toys, how to increase and decrease, how to make these beautiful “jacquard” style knitting…

Oh I have sooo many beautiful projects in my head that I want to make…It is wonderful to learn a new skill isn’t it?

But tell me…did you learn to knit after learning to crochet?

If it is after (like myself) did you find it easy or difficult?

Which craft do you prefere? crochet or knitting? and why? I would really love to have your opinion on this subject…

Until now, I just love the sound the needles do….this isn’t the case for crochet…I think the music of the needles is very soothing and calming, don’t you think?

I’m spending some time on Pinterest too to get some inspiration…You can see lovely pictures of knitting projects on my board ” knitting” on Pinterest here…

Have to go now…

Thank you so much for your kind words and all the prayers for my little country Lebanon…It meant a lot to me…and we really need prayers…It is the only thing we can do…unfortunately…to fight against war, blood and dark days….Praying for peace…

So a BIG thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you… one by one !

Have a beautiful day!

Paintings and more

Good morning,

A BIG BIG thank you from my mum to all of you for your wonderful comments concerning her projects 🙂

Today, I want to show you two small finished paintings…

They are small, quick to make but I enjoyed painting them a lot…

I hope you liked them 🙂

I managed to make some progress on the baby bedspread too even though I’m spending most of my time watching the news… and praying…

The political situation is awful here and we are so afraid of another civil war 🙁

Please do join me in my prayers for my little country ….

Kisses to all!

Little things…

Hello hello hellooooo!

How are you today? Hope everything is good…

My mother made a couple of things for my baby that I want to show you today…I hope you’ll like 😉

First, there is a crocheted blanket…

She created the design herself 🙂 Isn’t it lovely?

and then she knited a little sweater with its assorted socks on the same “sea” theme…

I think she took the pattern of the little sweater from the latest “Marie Claire idees” magazine.

I just love this marine set 🙂

And my adorable mummy made a couple of little vests too and another lovely brown knitted sweater…

and a beautiful “nid d’ange”. I don’t know how we call these in English…It is a kind of long sweater closed from down that we put for our babies on cold days before going out …

I’m very proud of you mum 🙂 You are my very first inspiration…and I still have a lot to learn from you …Thank you for everything!

and my friends…

tomorrow…

“le monde de Sucrette” will turn two 🙂

Two years with you my lovelies 🙂 Two years of blogging thanks to you 🙂

I’m very happy to celebrate with you this second year …

Cheers!
