What a fabulous idea! I would like to join it but I don’t know the rules exactly….

And I would have to order more yarn as well since I don’t have a shop round here that sells yarn…gosh…so sad that I haven’t found this blog before!

How long is this challenge running anyway? Can I choose my own colours….aaaand….will there be another challenge (just in case I can’t join now)???

    Have a lovely week!!

Wow! 64 participants and I am sure more will follow along. I’ve yet to accomplish a granny square. It is only list of projects to try again but keep putting it off. All those rounds and increases really throw me off. :/ Yours is looking bright and beautiful! Have a great week. Tammy

    Hi Angie,
I do, I just want to reach out and grab it! Great work and thanks for starting the challenge. It is my first group crochet project and I love it! I’ve even been showing the flickr pictures to people who I am sure are not interested in crochet because I am so excited about it.

I am also crocheting a big granny, and planning the one I will crochet when this one is done. I haven’t technically joined, but I am playing along! Yours is beautiful indeed. Mine is done in red, white, and blue, and I plan the next one to be Christmas colors.

Hi Angie, I love the idea of your granny challenge. I’m not in a position to join in this summer, but I may make one later in the year as a Christmas present. Can you tell me how much yarn you would typically use for a blanket? I’m thinking of maybe doing one to go over the back of a small sofa for my sister-in-law but I don’t know how much yarn to order (and I have to get it shipped internationally, so it’s not easy to get another ball or two if I run out!). Just a rough estimate would be really, really helpful. Many thanks.

Great timing, this CAL spurred me on to finish my latest blanket, which is all done and dusted. I’ve sorted out my stash and i’m raring to go, so please count me in. I’ve joined the Rav group Bitsandbobs79. Thanks Angie and love the progress on yours, Libby x

What a great idea! Is there still time to join? Do you exchange it after it’s finished or just make it for yourself?
