There is something I don’t love about December… It is the stress behind this season… The stress sometimes takes out all the beautiful mood you should be feeling in this holy season… I am a “routine” kind of person… I love my every-day and try to just live the moment… Every year I tell myself I should begin early with the Christmas preparations so I don’t stress and stress all my family…
So, this year, I began early …
The house is already on Christmas mode…
The tree is up…
The gifts are (almost) ready and packed…
There is good chocolate in every corner…
Every single detail is pretty organised in my beloved yellow filofax…
I am even finding some time to crochet…
and add some squares to the granny blanket which is slowly but surely growing 🙂 (Will it become a bedspread?)
I have even picked up an old wip and I’m falling in love with it all over again…
So, my friend, this year, I am trying to relax and just enjoy this holy season without stress…
And I wish you the same 🙂
Relax, take it easy and have a beautiful warm week filled with joy, laugher and Christmas spirit.
BIG BIG Kisses

I’ve started Christmas decorating and shopping early too – just like you, I don’t like the stress. Enjoy your day. 🙂
Your house looks beautiful!
It all looks so lovely!
Everything is lovely, Angie. Bright and colorful… is your tree natural or an artificial one? Just curious. I am going to buy my tree this coming weekend. Last weekend was just too cold here in Wisconsin. It should be a little warmer on Saturday, so I will go. But I have a four foot artificial one that is up year round:))) I love the lights especially when night falls so early… that little happy glow of the small white lights makes it cozy. Happy Holidays with much sparkle and joy to you and your family.
Thank you Bobbie! My tree is artificial and I like the idea of keeping it all year round :)))) It makes the house very warm and cosy ;)))
Have a blessed week!
Please advise on the types of yarn you use in your crochet projects. How much to purchase when you fall in love with the colors? Any and all information is much appreciated. Happy Holiday and thank you for your posts.
Beautiful post today, beautiful decorations, and beautiful crochet. Enjoy your week.

Hi Angie, OH, How beautiful your Christmas decorations are and your crochet work is. You are so organized, wish I could be the same; but can’t as you see my son and GIRLFRIEND lives in the main part of my 14 x 70 mobile home and he stuck me in a 2 room add on, thusly all my yarn and stuff are in my bed room. but then I have to adjust to the situation to keep peace. May you and your family have a blessed Christmas.
You are so organised! My Christmas is a hectic whirl!
How do you get such lovely neat edges? The ones on the old WIP could be done with a ruler!
Thanks so much for your blog. It’s an inspiration.
Ah, it looks nice and cosy there! I halfway between stressed and ready 🙂 Our house was decorated by the beginning of November, because the whole of December we’re away! So now we’re doing the little beach house, and it’s starting to look real nice. More natural elements and decorations this year. Baubles and crocheted starts in the tree outside. Love it.
Your house looks so beautiful with the Christmas decorations!
I love your new granny blanket!
It all looks so very lovely! I too am a routine person. I LOVE Christmas, but somehow that before-stress does seem to ruin it a little. Every year I promise myself I will start preparing earlier, but somehow it never seems to happen.
Well done. Its so hard this time of year to make sure we do things in a way that allows us to enjoy the time and to not end up frazzled and grumpy!! I love my filofax too but I prefer your page inserts – they look like a planner. Are they filofax branded or a different make? Since I don’t work, I find that I have a different need for the type of information I need to hold in my Filofax. xxx
Looks like you have everything under control and well on the way to the holidays!Wishing much love and happiness to you and your family!
Your home looks lovely, so warm and inviting. I wish you the happiest of holidays. May God bless you and your family and keep you all safe. Thank you for all the inspiration during the year.
Hi Angie, I love all your Christmas decorations. I still haven’t put my decorations up. I have been working on gifts for family. You’ve given me inspiration to make more things for “me” and my home soon.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and holiday season and a very happy new year.
Your house looks beautiful, as does your crochet, as usual.
I am afraid many people have forgotten the meaning of Christmas, and although I am not religious I think it should be kept more to the true spirit, as it has become far too commercialised and almost just an excuse to spend too much money.
Angie I love your granny square blanket, very classic!
You are amazingly well organised. This is one of the secrets to have time for your crochet… Your wips are lovely and so is your Xmas decoration! Anne
