A granny shawl for me me me ;)

Good morning lovely ladies around the globe ๐Ÿ™‚

How’s everything?

So, I started something for myself with the sooooo beautiful yarn Joumana sent me…(Joumana, with every stitch I make I think of you and thank you ๐Ÿ™‚ )

You know something? I’ve never tried to crochet with something else rather than acrylic and cotton yarn ๐Ÿ™‚ funny eh? and I am sooooo enjoying the softness of the alpaca yarn…will I become addicted? Hoping no ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m crocheting a granny shawl for myself like you already guessed from the title of the post…a big big granny shawl…big enough to wrap me completely ๐Ÿ˜€

Wanna see some pics?

This is the start of my granny shawl…

The pattern is very simple to follow…it is like crocheting a granny square cut in half ๐Ÿ˜‰ .

and likeย all granny squares it is ADDICTIVE and easy and perfect to crochet with a baby, or watching T.Vย as you don’t need much concentration to make it…

This is the graphic of the shawl if you’re interested in making one for yourself or as a gift for someone special…

It is crocheted in rows.

I managed to add more rows before I wrote this post…This is my progress so far…

Yes it is very fast to crochet ๐Ÿ˜‰

Would you join me in this new adventure? Hope that you will … soย we can both wear our big and beautiful granny shawlsย and think about each others ๐Ÿ™‚

Wishing you a wonderful day!

Big kisses

Sucrette

ย P.S: “Love birds” the bedspread I was crocheting for our room is almost done…I am making right now its border…so suspect a tadaaaaa post very soon…it will be explosive ๐Ÿ™‚

I am having some problems with the subscriptions and I know that many of you are not receiving e-mails notifications every time I write a new post…I am so sorry about that…I’ll try my best to fix this problem asap.

Joe’s ripple

Hello my friend!

How are you today?

Joe’s ripple is done and here are some pics for you ๐Ÿ™‚ Enjoyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

I enjoyed so much working on this blanket…I think I love ripples and ripple blankets are the best thing for me to crochet…

I love this next pic… Don’t know why… ๐Ÿ™‚

and this one too…

This blanket, like most of all blankets I made, is crocheted with Nako Vizon a 100% acrylic yarn and a 4mm crochet hook!

You can find its patternย here ๐Ÿ˜‰

And here is my bundle of joy discovering his hands and enjoying his new blanket:

The blanket is big enough as I fold it in two and it still covers baby Joe ๐Ÿ˜‰

He’s still napping as I’m writing this post . Thank you my love ๐Ÿ™‚

Have to leave you now…

Thank you so much for visiting and thank you for your lovely suggestions on my previous post…

I started something with Joumana’s yarn…I could not resist the temptation…

and it is something for myself (like most of you suggested ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

I’ll show you next time (with a graphic pattern so you can make your own if you wantย ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

So…Stay tuned…

and keep warm…

and and and have a beautiful day!

Yesterday, I received my Christmas gift :)

Hello lovelies,

Yesterday, I received a parcel from a wonderful lady. I met this lady through this blog. She left here a comment and coincidentally she was from my little country from Lebanon…and she lives here too ๐Ÿ™‚ So she send me some of the most beautiful yarn I’ve ever seen that she brought from Peru…I was like a child in front of his first gift when I saw the box and when I opened it I couldn’t express the huge joy I felt….the people in the post thought I was a crazy woman ๐Ÿ™‚ hehehe

So, enough talking…Let’s see what Joumana sent…

Let me show you ๐Ÿ™‚

First, I discovered these so cute little baby boots for Joe that Joumana made from felt…Lucky little Joseph…

and then 8 alpaca yarn with beautiful colors…this yarn is soooo soft … simply delicious!

and 11 of the most wonderful alpaca-acrylic yarn with amazing colors…

Joumana, you are one of the kindest and most generous woman I’ve ever met and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I really feel that I’ve received my Christmas gift this year and that I am sooo lucky ๐Ÿ™‚

And now the big question is: what will I crochet with this treasure? Any suggestions ladies?

Big kisses

Crochet

Yes, today’s post is all about crochet ๐Ÿ™‚ How are you sweet friend?

More progress to show you on Joe’s ripple:

I’m loving so much the colors and working on it.

I’ve began also something new…something I’ll call: Grannies with a twist…

Inspired from this wonderful blanket here…

Using some leftover acrylic yarn called “mirage”

with a 3mm crochet hook…this is what I’ve been up to so far…

I’m loving too much the black with the other colors…don’t you agree?

Stay warm my friend and have a beautiful day

19 Nov

Monday…monday

Good morning my friend!

How are you? How’s everything in your part of the world?

Today, I want to show you my finished cowl, the beginning of a new ripple blanket for baby Joe and many other things…

First, there is something that made me super happy this week end:

One of my patterns hasย been featured in AllFreeCrochetAfghanPatterns…yaaay ๐Ÿ™‚ย It is in a free e-book that includes 7 different ripple patterns. Please feel free to download a copy of this lovely e-book from this link:

http://www.allfreecrochetafghanpatterns.com/Ripple/How-To-Crochet-a-Ripple-Crochet-Afghan-7-Free-Crochet-Patterns-eBook

Thank you allfreecrochetafghanpatterns ๐Ÿ™‚

Soย I started a new blanket for baby Joe using this particular ripple pattern…Here is what I’ve been up to so far…

I’m loving so much the colors ๐Ÿ™‚

I wanted to make, using the same colors, a moss stitch blanket for Joe…I started it but felt that it will never finish on time and that the winter will pass before he can use it… so I stopped…The moss stitch is wonderful but the progress you make with that stitch specially when you have a time-consuming-little-baby is very very slow…that’s why I chose to make a ripple instead…

Here is my finished cowl using the moss stitch:

Excuse the pics taken with my PJ ๐Ÿ™‚ but that’s what I’m wearing most of the days ๐Ÿ™‚ hahaha

The cold days are slowly coming in our country and the crocheted bedspreads are back again on our beds…

In Joe’s room:

In the girls’s room:

And in our’s too:

Our room is still waiting for its new beadspread “love birds” which is still not finished ๐Ÿ™

and finally finally the love of my life…

Baby Joseph who’s now 2 months old

and who’s making his first smiles

Have a happy week ๐Ÿ™‚

Big big kisses from the bottom of my heart!
