Something new on my hook

Good morning sweeties!

What a beautiful morning to spend with you today sharing my latest crochet news 🙂

I finished some “things” for number3 I want to show you today! Tadaaaaaaaaaaaa

A sleevless jacket (or a cardigan? that’s what translator is telling me to write but I’m not sure if it is correct) and some baby boots. It is not my kind of colors, but as a first trial, I like to crochet with a plain color to try out the pattern and when it is ok, I’ll make colorful ones 😉

The cardigan is not so bad for a first attempt I must confess…but there is some changes I have to do for a better second one 😉

I love to make cardigans for babies as I think they are very practical to wear on the babies pyjamas…specially if they are sleeveless… I hate when I’m putting a sweater to my baby and I have to count how many little fingers are still left inside…I’m sure you’re understanding what I mean 🙂 So sleevless vests are the best kind of winter clothing for babies…that’s why I will make some more …

and baby boots 🙂 These also are a first attempt and I must confess that I spend a whole day crocheting and then unravelling and then crocheting again and again with sometimes feeling a little discouraged…etc etc but I kept on going …

and finally, I confess, that I don’t love them as much as I should…I have now more modifications I shall add to make them cuter 🙂 Willshow you better little baby boots very very soon 😉 I promise!

The yarn I’m using is called Nako Baby. A mixture of 50% acrylic and 50% polyamid worked with a 3mm crochet hook! It is a super super soft yarn, perfect for babies stuff and it is similar as thikness as the sylecraft special DK…

And concerning this cute owl 🙂 OHHH I fall in love with it and could not resist buying it for my baby 🙂

This is the first thing I bought for him and I love it 🙂 It is from a frensh brand (I think) called: Latitude

I enjoyed very very much crocheting these little “thingies” for my baby…and could not help myself beginning a second attempt (crossing my fingers for a better result this time)

with rainbow colors 🙂 better don’t you think?

Have to go now! Don’t forget! The giveaway is still running until monday  on this post, so it you did not left a comment you can still do iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!

Thank you so much for visiting and for your kind words concerning my tummy 😉 My due date is between September1 n October 1…I give birth by Cesarian and For my first two it was early C-sctions (at the very beginning of month9 for my oldest Christina and on the second week of month9 for Sarah my number2) so I’m expecting it to be between sep7 and sep21 for number 3 if everything goes well 🙂

Have a wonderful weekend!

Just a quiet afternoon…

Ohhhhhh WOW WOW WOW! I am really really astonished by all your wonderful comments! Wow! I was more than happy reading each and everyone of them 🙂 They made my heart sing with joy and I wished I could send the prize to each and everyone 🙂 OH WOOOW: 338 comments so far 🙂 I am so lucky to have you 🙂 Thank you! Thank you my friends! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

The pics of this post were taken on sunday afternoon:

It was a perfect afternoon…the girls were with their father playing in the garden…and I was alone on the terrace…

enjoying sitting surrounded by flowers … quietly…

and crocheting a little…

concentrating a lot…

Trying to create something “wearable”…

for the little one inside my tummy …

And as I was really enjoying my little hour of quiet in this busy and noisy sunday…the sun went down…

and it was one of the most perfect sunset I’ve ever seen…

so I said a little thankful prayer as I was so blessed  to be alive and “in peace” with myself enjoying sinple pleasures…

 in this strange world…

Have a blessed day wherever you are 🙂

Souvenirs de vacances…

Good morning sweet people!

I really really missed you! Today, a simple post to show you what I purchased during my trip. Please don’t laugh…I have a problem, a serious one, you know, I always buy childish things … I just love childish colorful things and I can’t help myself resisting to the temptation… Every time I say to myself: do the normal thing everybody does, do the normal shopping in normal stores, go see clothing brandy shops and buy normal clothing for yourself instead of buying these nonsenses but this is me… and I can not make “the normal kind of” shopping…

Wanna see what it’s all about? ok!

From Barcelona, I bought this cute little poster. (The original painting was made by a very talented spanish painter but I couldn’t afford buying the original one) and also magnets to add to my collection on the fridge…

I love collecting magnets from every country I visit and I have now several…

I love my magnets … every one of them have a memory and I have a small story behind  it 🙂

From Barcelona, I bought also this cute little handpainted owl…

The one next to it (in stone) was a gift from my grandparents and it is very special to me and holds a special place in my heart.

From Italy, as you may already guessed, I bought a wooden “pinocchio” 🙂

to add to my wooden dolls collection 😉

From the frensh “provence”: this cute couple of farmers for my kitchen…

I just love their cute little faces. The tea pot you see in the pic above was a purchase from last year trip to Istanbul.

And finally, from the port of Civitavechia in Italy, this cute little handmade door-key bear…

You see? It is nothing too huge and too important…It is not cool stuff and brandy clothing… It is just small treasures that makes my heart sing with joy… I just cherish objects and they hold special places in my heart specially when there is a small story or memory behind them…

Simple things are the best….don’t you agree?

Have to leave you now and wish you a special day wherever you are on this planet…

Big hugs!
