1

There is something about this stitch you can not resist…

2

It is addictive, soothing, calming, beautiful, fast and easy…

3

It grows very fast…

4

and is perfect for crocheting while doing something else… like watching TV or dreaming πŸ™‚

5

You can try it yourself … there is plenty of written patterns, charts, videos online… or you can try it my way (less holes) HERE πŸ™‚

7

Give it a go… you won’t regret it πŸ˜‰

I’ll be away next week for a small vacation in Turkey… Beach, sand, sun and no stress are waiting for me πŸ™‚

V stitch blanket chart

Hello lovelies,

How are you? Woooow we are July1 already…time flies… 2014 is half gone and I am half done with my Crochet Mood Blanket 2014.

1

Here it is from January1 (up-left light purple) till June30 (down-right blue turquoise) πŸ˜€ Wooow! I am really happy to be up to date with it πŸ™‚ It makes me proud, happy and makes my heart sing with joy.

2

See? Not so many dark and grey days! Hope that the second half will be as happy as this first πŸ™‚

2'

I am pleased with it even though it will be BIG very BIG . The first half is 120 x 145 cm. So the final blanket will be 145 x 240 cm πŸ˜€

And I started also something new…

3

Well, I am unravelling an wip and crocheting a new one… Remember my Vintage Stripy Blanket? Well, I decided to unravel it because I was not pleased with its sides …they were not straight and it was bothering me … A LOT… So, I decided to unravel it and with every row unravelled crochet a row in a new Vintage-V-blanket πŸ™‚

4

I love the colors. That’s why I am keeping them as they are…unravelling from here…crocheting there πŸ™‚

6

And I am falling madly deeply in love with this V-stitch blanket πŸ™‚ It is addictive…and once you start you can not leave your hook anymore πŸ˜‰

5

I drew a small chart to show you how I am working on it. You can find online if you google: Crochet V stitch many patterns, charts and videos too…but here is my own “version” with less “holes” πŸ™‚ and I am really pleased with it.

7

I am working this blanket with a 4.5mm hook and a yarn similar to the Stylecraft special DK but a little thicker. It is called Nako Vizon. A 100% acrylic yarn πŸ™‚

If you have time and are wondering what to crochet, I really advise you to try the V-stitch. It is totally addictive easy and fast to crochet πŸ™‚ You’ll be totally hooked πŸ™‚

Have a super day!

Vintage stripes blanket chart

I feel like I’m neglecting a little bit this blog of mine and I apologize for that….

I feel like I’m running out of time and with the children at home for their summer holidays it is quite impossible to concentrate on something for more than 5 minutes πŸ™‚ I think you understand what I’m talking about πŸ˜‰

And there is INSTAGRAM. It is so easy and so quick to post a picture with a few words and share it that …well… you end up neglecting your blog and your posts… and it is annoying me I must confess… I love this little blog of mine…I feel like it is my own home, my secret place where I can hide from all the daily “routine” stuff… A kind of escape πŸ™‚

Well… I know I talk too much πŸ˜€ I want to show you today some pics of my past week and my actual wips … Most of these pics I’ve posted them already on Instagram (Sorry my IG friends πŸ˜‰ )

1

* My Vintage stripy blanket: This blanket is my stress-away wip. It is very soothing to work on and I am in love with how the colors melt together…

2

* That’s why I’m sharing here its chart. Many of you asked me about this pattern. It is a little bit tricky to begin and end each row…so before beginning your blanket try the pattern on a small scale to make sure it works with you πŸ˜‰ Very easy once you’ve made your first rows…

3

I started it with 150ch. Working it with a 4.5mm hook. I think the more chunky the yarn is the more beautiful is the effect πŸ˜‰ That’s my opinion πŸ˜‰

4

* This is the second wip I’m working on. A winter bedspread for our room. I’ve already made some squares and I love how they’re looking πŸ™‚

5

Traditional granny squares are my favorite. You know that eh? and the more I crochet them the more I have projects in my head with them… I think that my brain is full of granny squares ideas… they are everywhere in my home and I just can’t have enough of them…

6

They are beautiful…don’t you think? Little sweets for the soul πŸ™‚

7

8

*Some pics of my planner. I am in love with this little filofax of mine. Its color, its shape, everything inside it makes my heart sing with joy… And I feel that I am more organised now that I am using it. Everythink is planned, my week is decorated and I feel calm just looking at it πŸ™‚ Nurdy lady πŸ˜‰

9

10

*and this last wip of mine. My crochet mood blanket 2014. I am up to date with it and find again a lot of joy crocheting each morning a square depending on my mood of the moment πŸ™‚ There is not a lot of grey and dark colors… don’t you think? πŸ˜‰

11

* My new comfy birkenstock. I love their color and painted my nails to match them πŸ™‚

* And finally: My reason to live…My love… My life… My time consumers… My sun… My rainbow… My everything… My children…

12

I’ll leave you today with their picture. I just LOVE them so much and I am thankful every day and blessed for having them in my life…

Have a wonderful day my friends!

Kisses!

It’s all about crochet…

When people ask me what do I do in my spare time and I answer crochet… they look at me in a strange way… Here in my country crochet is something “old fashioned”…

Well if crochet is an old fashion activityΒ then I am “old fashioned” and proud to be πŸ˜€

Good morning lovely people around the globe… I am very happy to be with you today and to share my latest wips πŸ˜‰ You are the onlyΒ one to understand me and my crazyΒ addiction πŸ™‚

1

I am back to my Crochet Mood Blanket 2014 and I was so behind with my squares but today I crocheted June11’s square and that made me very happy πŸ˜€

2

This blanket is very special and I love it… Looking at it brings back memories and I really put my heart intoΒ crocheting each square of itΒ πŸ™‚

3

I felt in love with this idea to make each day of 2014 a square depending on your mood and even though I did not 100% stick to it I still choose the color of my square depending on how I feelΒ πŸ™‚

4

I am back also to my Vintage Stripy Blanket. Crocheting these colorful stripesΒ calmΒ me in the evening after a rough day… they take my stress away and I love adding one row each evening to this beauty πŸ™‚

5

Call me crazy but I started also another granny square bedspread for our room πŸ™‚ Yes I am crazy but granny squares with a black border was on my to-do list from long ago and I simply love them. They have a vintage sweet look that I adore πŸ™‚ I am crocheting this new blanket with a thicker yarn (100% acrylic Nako Vizon yarn) than my granny with white bedspread…so a 4 rounds -square is big as a 6 rounds-square on the white one… This new bedspread will be for winter πŸ˜‰

6

I’ll crochet it with these 35 colors and the black for the last round πŸ™‚

Thank you dear friend for visiting today,

itΒ is always a pleasure having you here!

Kisses and love

Here are some technical infos for you between the pics:

* Yarn: Mirage (a 100% acrylic yarn). I don’t know exactly how much yarn I used because I used mostly scraps and 3 balls of 100g of white. I think it is a total of 10 balls of 100g each or maybe a little bit less…

* Hook: 3.5mm

* Square: AΒ 6 rounds (the last one in white) traditional granny square. You can find its graphic HERE!

* Joining: I joined my squares with the last white round as-I-go. You can find more about this joining method in Lucy’s wonderful blog HERE!

* Dimensions: Appr. 240×100 cm with a total of 128 squares

* Edging: Clusters ofΒ 3dc (as for the square) but with a picot between the clusters instead of 1 chain. (To make the picots, I crochet 3chain and then 1 sc in the first chain). I love this simple edging and keep using it πŸ™‚
