The four stages of a square’s life!

Good morning sweeties I’ve been making some real progress on the happy blankie lately and I thought about sharing with you (again…remember here?) the four stages of a square’s life…

I always choose first the colors…then I work the first round with every color I have…

Then I add a second round with every color too…

then a third round…

then a fourth…

This is my favorite “technique” to work a blanket… It helps you work with all the colors you want without wasting time to choose colors and guessing which color you have to pick now… It makes you use all your colors …

Now I finished all the squares of my happy blankie…

Aren’t they gorgeous? 99 squares 🙂 (the final blanket will be 11 x 9 squares) yaaaay!!!!!!!!

Now I am really really excited about the joining part 😀 My favorite! But I think I will not make it now because it is too hot… So the squares of the happy blankie will have to wait in the basket until september maybe 😉

Now I’ll be working on my amineko and the pink stool (more about this wip later 🙂 )

I can not leave you today without showing you my latest gift… something that made me really really happy last week… a set of colorful clover hooks straight from the U.S 🙂

They are gorgeous and a pure pure pleasure to crochet with 🙂

I am in love with their bright colors and their softness…I am really really hooked 😉

A new addiction called amineko :)

Good morning sweeties,

How’s everything? Are you enjoying summer?

Last week I discovered a very cute book and since that moment I am totally addicted…

Totally in love with that little cat…and totally addicted in the “making-process” of it 🙂

I started my second “amineko” yesterday. He needs a friend no? 🙂 Look how he is patiently waiting for me to finish his friend 😉

Ami means friend and neko means cat in japanese. The book is a japanese one but it has been tranlated into english and french. I just “love” japanese books. Aren’t they the best?

It is a very easy to make cat , the instructions of the book are very clear and simple and there is a very funny story about amineko.

Now I am totally into making “amineko”s. How many will I crochet? 😀

I will not stop with just two …I am sure… I left all my wips behind and I am enjoying enjoying enjoying to the max this amigurumi cute cat…

Wips and a tadaaa

Hello lovelies,

How are you?

It’s been like ages since I last posted… life has been chaotic in my part of the world… Too much family and children time…so much to do…so little time … children at home…no time for myself…just time for crochet in the evenings …I am sure you understand…

I’ve managed to finish the baby boy’s ripple…Here it is….

Not my-kind-of-colors but I like the softness of the whole blanket and I am sure the future-mother-to-be will love it 🙂

And I’ve been crocheting like mad the tiny-squares-letter-cushion…

Wanna see the progress I’ve made?

I finished the C and on the way to finish the S too 😀

Even though they are making me crazy and bored and and and…. I must make them…

Maybe three of them for the children…

I will start the J for Joseph as soon as I finish the S of Sarah…

Today, I’ll be in my craft room making the fabric cushions for these 2…

Something new…

Good morning sweeties,

I posted last week this pic of my actual wip on facebook and instagram…

Can you guess what it’s all about?

Well, this is my progress so far (pic taken today)…

Now I think you guessed 😉

It is a cushion with letter C like for Christina my daughter 🙂

A cushion made with tiny grannies (one round) joined as I go 🙂

I crocheted one tiny granny…took its measures…. (3 x 3 cm) …made my calculation to obtain a cushion of 45 x 45cm … As a result I had to crochet something with 15 x 15 tiny granny squares… so I draw the letter C using a grid of 15 x 15 squares like for the cross stitch … and began the crocheting… as simple as that … and I am very happy with how it is turning out…

Even though I have to crochet a total of 175 tiny squares (15×15)!!! woooohoooooo!!!

And this is not all … I have to make one S cushion for Sarah… and one J for little Joseph… one N for hubby (Nicolas) and maybe one A for myself (Angie) woooohoooo…

Should I calculate the total number of squares here ???

I better not 😀 I better enjoy the processing of making each cushion with a lovely frame and a nice crocheted edging 🙂

How was your week end? Mine was lovely… lot of crochet…ripples, ripples … joyful ripples…

Do you remember the baby boy blanket I started here? Well, I worked on it… Have to finish it before the mummy gives birth in July 😉

I’ve made some progress…look…

I am not used to work with these colours…that’s why it is taking me ages to finish it …

but I am loving it so far….

And I started something with the lovely yarn of Joumana…Remember here?

This alpaca yarn is terrific… so beautiful…so soft…I had to make something for me to wear it on my skin 🙂 It is selfish I know 😉

So, I started a scarf….it will be a long long ripples-scarf for me … I love these colors…

Did you spot my new phone case? Of course you did 🙂 I love it!

Today’s post was all about ripples …I am working on my happy blankie too …
