This week…

was a good kind of hooky week…

A lot happened around here 🙂

My crochet mood blanket 2014 is coming up nicely…

I am loving working on it and sometimes I feel like I want to finish it all and not do just one square per day 🙂

These are the first 14 days of February 🙂

I chose some yarn to begin a new project too…

A vintage stripy blanket…

This blanket is crocheted with rows of trebles only… I began with a 150 chain and I am working the tr in the space between the trs of the previous row … that is giving to it this lovely effect 🙂 I love it so far… and I’ve progressed on it too 🙂

It will be a big gorgeous blankie I am sure already 🙂

I love how the colors are melting together…this reminds me a little the moss stitch effect …but this is a lot quicker to crochet 😉

Working on big rows is very soothing and calming…

The best medicine when your children are grumpy and sick 😉

And I am also still working on my granny with white border…

and enjoying it 🙂 OOOH the pleasure of crocheting granny squares … I just love crocheting them…

I’ll leave you now with this last pic of some gorgeous yarn I bought just for the pleasure…without any project plan for them in my head 🙂

P.S: You keep asking me about the yarn I use for my projects. It is mostly turkish brands (Nako, Mirage) I buy from my local store here in Beirut. And unfortunately you can not find them online 🙁 They are very similar to the Stylecraft special DK a brand you can order easily online 😉

crochet love

Good morning sweeties,

I’ve been crocheting a lot…a really lot these days…It seems like the hook is burning in my hands and yarn is flying everywhere around me 🙂 A lot of creative ideas are melting in my head and I feel every night that I am running out of time to make all I want to make and I wish that the days were longer (a 48h day is good for me 😉 )

I am working on more than 4 wips at the same time…Yes, each day I am picking 3 different hook sizes and working with them… crochet crochet crochet every second of my free time 🙂

Here are some…yes some of my wips of the moment…

* My poncho: The front is done…All the circles of the back are done too…Still have to join them and sew the front and the back together and decide on an edging 🙂 So, a tadaaa post very soon 😉

* The crochet mood blanket… January 25… 25 squares done so far…I am adoring this project 🙂 and how the squares of my moody days are coming along together beautifully…

* A new granny cushion with the wonderful mirage yarn 🙂 I love the colors of the mirage range but it is a thinner yarn worked with a 3.25 mm hook so small projects are done with it (You see I am not so patient to work a blanket with this yarn 🙂 )

* A new secret project with a chunky yarn will be revealed to you very soon I hope 😉

Blogging about my wips is a way for me to stay focused on them and remember to finish some before beginning others. That don’t always work … but I am trying my best 😉

It is all about crochet …

Good morning sweet people around the globe!

It is always so nice to have you here…Thank you all for your wishes on Baby Joe’s birthday 🙂 Your nice words made my day 🙂

Today’s post is all about crochet… and I am not feeling super sure about myself anymore…I will explain…

These days I am like a child experimenting with his new toys… I feel like I just learned how to crochet and I lost my self confidence …

I will not say that these will become bedspreads… I will not even say that they will be blankets…neither cushions… I will just enjoy crocheting…just enjoy the stitches I am doing and the making of whatever they will turn into…

I am afraid to make plans…even crochet plans…that’s how I am these days…

I left behind the crazy ripple I was doing…did not like how it is turning out as a bedspread…I tried it on the bed and did not like what I saw…did not feel it…

This is the first time something like that is happening to me: 22 hours of crochet for nothing…I am so dissapointed… Maybe I’ll finish it one day as a blanket… and maybe not…

Now I am making these grannies and classic squares that … I hope … will turn into something…

Using my leftover stash…I’ll try to enjoy crocheting…just crocheting…without thinking about the result….
